摘要
20世纪30至40年代,由于受中国国民党的影响,美国记者对中国共产主义运动存在误解。在深入西北革命根据地及其后的陕甘宁边区之后,美国记者打破了“土匪残余论”,认为中国共产党建立了民主政府,促进了边区经济社会发展;中国共产党是扎根于中国土壤的独立政党,共产党人是真正的共产主义者,其军队是抗战的中流砥柱。冷战时期,反共人士用“阴谋论”抹黑美国记者对中国共产党的客观报道。美国学者对此加以驳斥,从人的现代化、民主精神的共通性、国共两党的差异性分析了共产党人受欢迎的主要原因。事实证明,美国记者对中国共产党的调查报道,是与西方沟通的桥梁而非相互理解的障碍,是基于客观事实而非国际共运的策划。
In the 1930s and 1940s,under the influence of the Kuomintang,American journalists held misunderstandings about the Communist Movement in China.After going down deep to the Northwest Revolutionary Base and the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Border Region,they broke the“theory of bandit remnants”and acknowledged that the CPC had established a democratic government and promoted the economic and social development of the border region,that the CPC was an independent political party rooted in China,and that the Chinese Communists are real communists,their army was the mainstay in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.During the Cold War,ones hating communists smeared those journalists with“conspiracy theory”just for their objective reports of the CPC in the Yan’an period,which was refuted by some American scholars,who analyzed the main reasons for the Communists’popularity from the perspectives of human modernization,the commonality of democratic spirit,and the differences between the Kuomintang and the CPC.Facts have proved that the investigation reports by the American journalists on the CPC served as a bridge to communicate with the West rather than an obstacle to mutual understanding,and that their reports were based on objective facts rather than schemes plotted by the international communist movement.
