摘要
随着20世纪70年代文学生态批评在美国的兴起,斯坦贝克研究获得了新的学术增长点,他的作品被赋予了更深远的意义和价值。越来越多的学者关注斯坦贝克作品的生态品质,包括斯坦贝克生活的西部环境、他对生态科学的终身兴趣、他对人与自然关系和人类生存环境的关注等等。对过去近半个世纪以来国内外斯坦贝克生态批评研究成果现状进行述评,期望为国内未来斯坦贝克生态批评研究提供一定的启发。
The eco-critical approach to literature, which came into being in the 1970s, endows John Steinbeck＇ s book with more significance and value. More and more critics pay attention to ecological nature of Steinbeck＇ s thinking. They present his lifelong interest in ecology, elaborate his ecological ideas in his works, show his exposure of the humanity＇ s impact on nature and discuss his concern about environmental-related problems. The summary and review of the situation of Steinbeck＇ s eeocritieism home and abroad during the past half century will enlighten the future Steinbeck＇ s ecocritical study home.
