摘要
知识经济时代,社会的发展决定于高等教育所培养人才的数量与质量,而高等教育的质量主要决定于大学教师的素质,从而也就对大学教师发展提出了新理念与新模式。从理念上看,大学教师发展不同于一般所说的教师培训,它更重视教师的自主性和个性化,促进教师自主学习和自我提高,并在内涵上强调教师的学术水平、教师职业知识、技能以及师德;从模式上看,不同的国家有不同的方式与方法,但都应当协调外部动力与内在动力,使大学教师持续地、健康地发展。
In the epoch of knowledge economy, the development of society is determined by the quantity and quality of the talented people brought out by higher education, whose quality mainly hinges on the quality of university teachers. Accordingly, new ideas and patterns have been put forth on the development of university teachers. In terms of the new ideas, different from the so-called teacher-training, more attention is paid to automatism and individuality to promote teachers' independent studies and self-betterment and at the same time importance is attached to teachers' academic level, vocational knowledge and professional ethics. As for the patterns, different styles and methods exist in different countries but they all should co-ordinate the external impetus and internal motivation so as to effect teachers' constant and healthy development.
