When the distribution of the insurance risk belongs to the class L(γ) for some γ〉0 or the subexponential distribution class, we abtain some asymptotic equivalent relationships for the finite-time ruin probability, respectively. When the distribution of the insurance risk belongs to the dominated varying-tailed distribution class, we obtain asymptotic upper bound and lower bound for the finite-time ruin probability, where for the asymptotic upper bound, we completely get rid of the restriction of mutual independence on insurance risks, and for the lower bound, we only need the insurance risks to have a weak positive association structure. The obtained results extend and improve some existing results.

We mainly focus on how the inertia affects the cooperative behavior of the system. Interestingly, we find that the cooperation level has a nonmonotonic dependence on the inertia: with small inertia, cooperators will soon be invaded by defectors; with large inertia, players are unwilling to change their strategies and the cooperation level remains the same as the initial state; while a moderate inertia can induce the highest cooperation level. Moreover, effects of environmental noise and individual inertia are studied. Our work may be helpful in understanding the emergence and persistence of cooperation in nature and society.

Copper rings were luted using Rely X Unicem(RU; 3M ESPE), Panavia F(PF; Kuraray) or Vitique(VI; DMG). For RU, the shear bonding strengths using GL(Gluma Etch, Heraeus) acid etching pretreatment were also tested. The teeth were placed into copper rings(inner diameter: 16 mm, height: 4mm) and embedded in methylmethacrylate resin. The specimens were stored for 24 h in distilled water at 37 ℃ prior to shear bonding strengths testing. In addition, bond failures were examined by optical microscope and categorized as 4 models such as different adhesive, cohesive, or mixed. Shear bonding strengths were calculated by dividing the maximum debonding force over the cross sectional area of each specimen. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to determine pairwise statistical differences(P 〈 0.05) in SBS between the experimental groups. For dentin bonding strength, statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference among RU(12.84 MPa), PF(14.93 MPa) and VI(11.03 MP); and the bonding strengths of them were higher than RU with acid etching pretreatment(9.12 MP). When bonded to enamel, PF(17.99 MP) and VI(17.58 MP) scored significantly higher than RU efficacy. The use of self-adhesive cement Rely X Unicem can obtain the bonding strengths to dentin similar to traditional resin cements. Phosphoric acid etching can improve the bonding strengths of the selfadhesive resin cement to enamel, but was negative for dentin.

METHODS: The colonic myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity and tumor necrosis factor-(TNF- ) level were determined. A two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE)-based proteomic technique was used to profile the global protein expression changes in the DRG and spinal cord of the rats with acute colitis induced by intracolonic injection of TNBS. RESULTS: TNBS group showed significantly elevated colonic MPO activity and increased TNF-level. The proteins derived from lumbosacral enlargement of the spinal cord and DRG were resolved by 2-DE; and 26 and 19 proteins that displayed significantly different expression levels in the DRG and spinal cord were identified respectively. Altered proteins were found to be involved in a number of biological functions, such as inflammation/immunity, cell signaling, redox regulation, sulfate transport and cellular metabolism. The over-expression of the protein similar to potassium channel tetramerisation domain containing protein 12 (Kctd 12) and low expression of proteasome subunit type-1 (psma) were validated by Western blotting analysis. CONCLUSION: TNBS-induced colitis has a profound impact on protein profiling in the nervous system. This result helps understand the neurological pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease.

Firstly, we extend the results of Hesselager [ASTIN Bulletin, 24: 19-32(1994)] and Wang & Sobrero's [ASTIN Bulletin, 24:161-166 (1994)] concerning recursions for compound distributions to a multivariate situation where each claim event generates a random vector. Then we give a multivariate continuous version of recursive algorithm for calculating a family of compound distribution. Especially, to some extent, we obtain a continuous version of the corresponding results in Sundt [ASTIN Bulletin, 29:29-45 (1999)] and Ambagaspitiya [Insurance: Mathematics and Economics, 24:301-308 (1999)]. Finally, we give an example and show how to use the algorithm for aggregate claim distribution of first class to compute recursively the compound distribution.

The geographical structure means that the connecting probability of two nodes is related to the spatial distance of the two nodes. Our simulation results show that the geographical structure changes the network topology. The synchronization tendency is enhanced and the average spatial length of edges is enlarged when the node can randomly connect to the further one. Analytic results support our understanding of the phenomena.

Numerous VaR models have been proposed in literature. Therefore, it is of great interest to evaluate the efficiency of these models, and to select the most appropriate one. In this paper, we shall propose to use the empirical likelihood approach to evaluate these models. Simulation results and real life examples show that the empirical likelihood method is more powerful and more robust than some of the asymptotic method available in literature.

文摘Acute pancreatitis is an inflammation initially localized in the pancreas, which may be accompanied with severe complications such as multi-organ failure, gastrointestinal hemorrhage and malnutrition. One in ten severe cases of acute pancreatitis develops systemic inflammatory response syndrome.Despite treatment, acute pancreatitis can be a life-threatening disease as its mortality rate amounts to 5%-10%in general, and up to 35%in cases of severe course.[1]Over the years, the role of oxidative stress

文摘AIM: To investigate proteomic changes in spinal cord and dorsal root ganglia (DRG) of rats with trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis.

文摘In this paper we examine two classes of correlated aggregate claims distributions, with univariate claim counts and multivariate claim sizes.

文摘We investigate how the geographical structure of a complex network affects its network topology, synchronization and the average spatial length of edges.

文摘An approximate solution of the refinement equation was given by its mask, and the approximate sampling theorem for bivariate continuous function was proved by applying the approximate solution . The approximate sampling function defined uniquely by the mask of the refinement equation is the approximate solution of the equation , a piece-wise linear function , and posseses an explicit computation formula . Therefore the mask of the refinement equation is selected according to one' s requirement, so that one may controll the decay speed of the approximate sampling function .

文摘Value at Risk (VaR) is a basic and very useful tool in measuring market risks.

文摘The properties of the spontaneous emission from a three-level atom with an external driving field in a photonic crystal are studied. The population in the two upper levels displays complete decay or oscillatory behavior, depending on the initial atomic state and the relative position of the two upper levels from the forbidden gap The intensity and the phase of the external field can also affect spontaneous emission from the atom.
