AIM:To design and validate broad-range 16S rRNA primers for use in high throughput sequencing to classify bacteria isolated from the human foregut microbiome.METHODS:A foregut microbiome dataset was constructed using ...AIM:To design and validate broad-range 16S rRNA primers for use in high throughput sequencing to classify bacteria isolated from the human foregut microbiome.METHODS:A foregut microbiome dataset was constructed using 16S rRNA gene sequences obtained from oral,esophageal,and gastric microbiomes produced by Sanger sequencing in previous studies represented by 219 bacterial species.Candidate primers evaluated were from the European rRNA database.To assess the effect of sequence length on accuracy of classification,16S rRNA genes of various lengths were created by trimming the full length sequences.Sequences spanning various hypervariable regions were selected to simulate the amplicons that would be obtained using possible primer pairs.The sequences were compared with full length 16S rRNA genes for accuracy in taxonomic classification using online software at the Ribosomal Database Project (RDP).The universality of the primer set was evaluated using the RDP 16S rRNA database which is comprised of 433 306 16S rRNA genes,represented by 36 phyla.RESULTS:Truncation to 100 nucleotides(nt)downstream from the position corresponding to base 28 in the Escherichia coli 16S rRNA gene caused misclassification of 87(39.7%)of the 219 sequences,compared with misclassification of only 29(13.2%)sequences with truncation to 350 nt.Among 350-nt sequence reads within various regions of the 16S rRNA gene,the reverse read of an amplicon generated using the 343F/798R primers had the least(8.2%)effect on classification.In comparison,truncation to 900 nt mimicking single pass Sanger reads misclassified 5.0%of the 219 sequences.The 343F/798R amplicon accurately assigned 91.8%of the 219 sequences at the species level.Weighted by abundance of the species in the esophageal dataset,the 343F/798R amplicon yielded similar classification accuracy without a significant loss in species coverage(92%).Modification of the 343F/798R primers to 347F/803R increased their universality among foregut species.Assuming that a typicalpolymerase chain reaction can展开更多

The maintenance of tissue homeostasis necessitates both the recognition and removal of invading microbial pathogens as well as the clearance of dying cells. In the past few decades, emerging knowledge on cell death and inflammation has enriched our molecular understanding of the signaling pathways that mediate various programs of cell death and multiple types of inflammatory responses. This review provides an overview of the major types of cell death related to inflammation. Modification of cell death pathways is likely to be a logical therapeutic target for inflammatory diseases.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the correlation between gastric cancer growth and signal transducer and activator of transcription-3(STAT3) expression.METHODS:We assessed the expressions of STAT3,phosphor-STAT3(pSTAT3),suppressor ...AIM:To investigate the correlation between gastric cancer growth and signal transducer and activator of transcription-3(STAT3) expression.METHODS:We assessed the expressions of STAT3,phosphor-STAT3(pSTAT3),suppressor of cytokine signaling-1(SOCS-1),survivin and Bcl-2 in gastric cancer patients after gastrectomy by immunohistochemical method.In addition,in situ hybridization was used to further demonstrate the mRNA expression of STAT3 in gastric cancer.RESULTS:With the univariate analysis,expressions of STAT3,pSTAT3,SOCS-1,survivin and Bcl-2,the size of primary tumor and the lymph node metastasis were found to be associated with the overall survival(OS) of gastric cancer patients.However,only pSTAT3 expression and the lymph node metastasis were identified as the independent factors of OS of gastric cancer with multivariate analysis.STAT3 expression was correlated with the lymph node metastasis.There were positive correlations between expressions of STAT3,survivin,Bcl-2 and pSTAT3 in gastric cancer,whereas there was negative correlation between STAT3 expression and SOCS-1 expression in gastric cancer.CONCLUSION:STAT3 can transform into pSTAT3 to promote the survival and inhibit the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells.SOCS-1 might be the valid molecular antagonist to inhibit the STAT3 expression in gastric cancer.展开更多

Measurements were made using the Shofield and Graham-Bryce's isotopic labelling method. Cadmium diffusion coefficients varied from 10 ̄(-7) to 10 ̄(-9) cm ̄2s ̄(-1),Higher values were observed in acid sandy soils and lower values in calcareous clay soils. Liming an acid soil resulted in a sub-stantial decrease of D. Addition of cadmium as nitrate salt generally increased D, while addition of sewage sludge and organ-ic matter resulted in a significant decrease of cadmium diffusion. The rhizospheric activity also induced a moderate reduction in D. Elderly patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are a complex patient group with increasing co-morbidity and shrinking physiological reserve, and may derive substantial benefit from the supportive aspects of TCM Researchers from Shanghai Longhua Hospital found that qi and yin deficiency is a common syndrome in patients with stage III or IV lung cancer. This project was designed to study the combination of single-agent chemotherapy with TCM methods of benefiting qi and yin in elderly patients with advanced NSCLC. METHODS AND DESIGN: This is a double-blind controlled, multi-center, and prospective study with randomly selected participants from elderly NSCLC patients in China. Seventy-six patients who meet the inclusion criteria will be allocated into two groups, which will receive treatments of 3-week single-agent chemotherapy with TCM or placebo for four cycles Progression-free survival (PFS) is the primary end point, and the secondary end points are overall survival, objective response rate, time-to-progression, and quality of life (EORTC QLQ-LC43, and TCM syndrome score) Meanwhile, other end points such as toxicity, side effects and safety of the treatments will be assessed. DISCUSSION: Results from this study may provide evidence on the effectiveness, and parameters for the usage of single-agent chemotherapy combined with or without TCM on PFS of elderly patients with NSCLC.展开更多

METHODS: One hundred and two surgically obtained spec...AIM: To investigate the correlation between cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and cell cycle-regulatory proteins in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). METHODS: One hundred and two surgically obtained specimens of ESCC were randomly collected. All specimens were obtained from patients who had not received chemoor radiotherapy prior to surgical resection.Twenty-eight specimens of normal squamous epithelium served as controls. The expression of COX-2, Ki-67, cyclin A and p27 was examined by immunohistochemistry. The Pearson test was used to analyze the relationship between groups. RESULTS: The protein level of COX-2, Ki-67 and cyclin A was significantly higher in ESCC than in normal squamous epithelium (74.7±61.2 vs 30.2 ± 43.4, 64.0 ± 51.6 vs 11.6 ± 2.3, 44.2 ± 32.2 vs 11.7 ± 5.0, respectively, all P<0.01). In contrast, the protein level of p27 was signifi cantly lower in ESCC than in normal squamous epithelium (182.0 ±69.0 vs 266.4±28.0, P<0.01). In ESCC, COX-2 expression was correlated with T stage, the score of T1-T2 stage was lower than that of T3-T4 stage (55.0±42.3 vs 83.0 ± 66.5, P<0.05), and Ki-67, cyclin A and p27 expressions were correlated with the tumor differentiation (43.8±31.7 vs 98.4± 84.8, 32.0 ± 19.0 vs 54.1 ±53.7,206.2±61.5 vs 123.5±68.3, respectively, all P<0.01). COX-2 expression was positively correlated to Ki-67, cyclin A and negatively correlated to p27 expression in ESCC (r=0.270, 0.233 and-0.311, respectively, all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The expression of COX-2 is correlated with tumor cell invasion and is closely related to the cell proliferation in patients with ESCC.展开更多

With in-house rotating anode X-ray source, these crystals diffract to 1.65 ?resolution which is much higher than that of the previously reported crystals that diffracted only to 3 ?resolution. The crystals belong to space group P212121 with cell parameters a = 41.5, b = 58.4 and c = 99.3 . Molecular replacement studies indicate that the cucurmosin structure is homologous to trichosanthin. Objective:The objective is to explore the potential mechanisms mediating the analgesic effect of electroacupuncture(EA)for neuropathic pain.Materials and Methods:Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were used to establish a spared ...Objective:The objective is to explore the potential mechanisms mediating the analgesic effect of electroacupuncture(EA)for neuropathic pain.Materials and Methods:Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were used to establish a spared nerve injury(SNI)model of neuropathic pain.The intensity of neuropathic pain was measured by assessing the mechanical withdrawal threshold and thermal withdrawal latency.Immunofluorescent analysis and western blotting were performed to evaluate the activation of microglia and Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(JAK2/STAT3)signaling in the L4-6 spinal cord of SD rats.The infiltration of Th2 and expression of interleukin-10(IL-10)in the L4-6 spine were analyzed by flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:Behavioral test results demonstrated that SNI-induced hyperalgesia was significantly ameliorated by EA stimulation at"Zusanli"(ST36)and"Yanglingquan"(GB34)points.In addition,EA therapy significantly suppressed microglia activation and phosphorylation of JAK2/STAT3 in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.Moreover,EA promoted the infiltration of Th2 and secretion of IL-10 in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.Conclusions:The study findings indicate that EA stimulation mediated the infiltration of Th2 in the spinal cord of rats with SNI.In addition,EA inhibited microglial activation in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.展开更多
Objective:The objective is to study the network pharmacology of Qixiong formula(QXF)and explore the mechanism of QXF in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.Materials and Methods:Using Traditional Chinese Medicine Sys...Objective:The objective is to study the network pharmacology of Qixiong formula(QXF)and explore the mechanism of QXF in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.Materials and Methods:Using Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP),a Bioinformatics Analysis Tool for Molecular mech ANism of Traditional Chinese Medicine(BATMAN-traditional Chinese medicine),and an encyclopaedia of traditional Chinese medicine(ETCM)databases as well as data from relevant studies,the effective components and targets of QXF were obtained.Genes associated with oligospermia were screened using Gene Cards,OMIM,Dis Ge Net,Drug Bank,and GAD databases.The intersection target was obtained by mapping the target to the gene,and the protein interaction network was created using the STRING database to screen the core target of QXF in the treatment of oligospermia.The intersection target was enriched using gene ontology(GO)and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis with the DAVID database.The network of the disease drug target pathway was drawn using Cytoscape software.Results:Overall,536 active components of QXF and 40 core targets for the treatment of oligoasthenozoospermia were obtained.The analysis of GO and KEGG showed that QXF is mainly involved in oxidative stress,cell motility,nutritional response,and other biological processes.Through the regulation of FOXO,p53,PI3 K/Akt,MAPK,mammalian target of rapamycin,Foxo,Wnt,and other signaling pathways,QXF played a role in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.Conclusion:QXF has multi-component,multi-target,and multi-channel characteristics,providing a new way to study the mechanism of QXF in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.展开更多

Information about disease management in winter wheat (Triticum aestiva) in eight European countries was collated and analysed by scientists and extension workers within the European Network for the Durable Exploitat...Information about disease management in winter wheat (Triticum aestiva) in eight European countries was collated and analysed by scientists and extension workers within the European Network for the Durable Exploitation of Crop Protection Strategies (ENDURE). This included information about specific disease thresholds, decision support systems, host varieties, disease prevalence and pathogen virulence. Major differences in disease prevalence and economic importance were observed. Septoria tritici blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) was recognized as the most yield reducing disease in countries with intensive wheat production, but also rust diseases (Puccinia striiformis and Puccinia triticina), powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis) and Fusarium head blight (Fusarium spp.) were seen as serious disease problems. Examples of current integrated pest management (IPM) strategies in different countries have been reported. Disease management and fungicide use patterns showed major differences, with an average input equivalent to 2.3 full dose rates (TFI) in the UK and a TFI of 0.6 in Denmark. These differences are most likely due to a combination of different cropping systems, climatic differences, disease prevalence, and socio-economic factors. The web based information platform www.eurowheat.org was used for dissemination of information and results including information on control thresholds, cultural practices which can influence disease attack, fungicide efficacy, fungicide resistance, and pathogen virulence, which are all elements supporting 1PM for disease control in wheat. The platform is open to all users. The target groups of EuroWheat information are researchers, advisors, breeders, and similar partners dealing with disease management in wheat.展开更多
AIM:To investigate clinical outcomes of patients with chronic gastric volvulus(GV)who were managed conservatively over a 5-year period.METHODS:A total of 44 consecutive patients with chronic GV,as diagnosed by barium ...AIM:To investigate clinical outcomes of patients with chronic gastric volvulus(GV)who were managed conservatively over a 5-year period.METHODS:A total of 44 consecutive patients with chronic GV,as diagnosed by barium study between October 2002 and July 2008 were investigated.All of these patients received conservative management initially without anatomical correction.Their clinical manifestations,diagnostic work-ups,and clinical outcomes were analyzed.We sought to identify independent risk factors for poor outcome by using the Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS:The enrolled patients were predominantly male(n=37,84%)and of advanced age(median: 71 years old,interquartile range:57.5-78 years).Abdominal pain and fullness were the most common presentations.During the follow-up period(median:16 mo,up to 69 mo),there was no severe complication,but symptomatic recurrence was noted in 28 patients(64%).Only one patient turned to elective surgery for frequent symptoms.Peritoneal adhesion was the only independent risk factor associated with recurrence(hazard ratio:2.58,95%CI:1.08-6.13,P=0.033).CONCLUSION:Symptomatic recurrence of chronic GV is very common although serious complications infrequently occur with conservative management.Peritoneal adhesion is independently associated with recurrence.展开更多
Objectives: To quantify the impact of baseline renal function on in-hospital and long term mortality in patients with unstable angina/non-ST elevation acute myocardial infarction (UA/NSTEMI) treated with a very early ...Objectives: To quantify the impact of baseline renal function on in-hospital and long term mortality in patients with unstable angina/non-ST elevation acute myocardial infarction (UA/NSTEMI) treated with a very early invasive strategy. Design: Prospective cohort study of 1400 consecutive patients with UA/NSTEMI und ergoing coronary angiography and subsequent coronary stenting of the culprit les ion as the primary revascularisation strategy within 24 hours of admission. Patients were stratified according to calculated glomerula r filtration rate (GFR) on admission. Results: In-hospital mortality was 0%amo ng patients with a GFR ≥130 ml/min/1.73 m2, 0.4%with a GFR of 90-129 ml/min/1 .73 m2, 2.6%with a GFR of 60-89 ml/min/1.73m2, and 5.1%with a GFR of < 60 ml/ min/1.73 m2. Cumulative three year survival rates were 92.6%, 95.5%, 91.9%, a nd 76.8%, respectively. Patients with a GFR of < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 were four ti mes more likely to die in hospital (hazard ratio (HR) 4.0, 95%confidence interv al (CI) 1.8 to 9.1; p=0.001) and four times more likely to die during long term follow up (HR 4.0, 95%CI 2.5 to 6.4; p< 0.001). After adjusting for potential c onfounders, a GFR of < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 remained a strong independent predictor of long term mortality (HR 2.6, 95%CI 1.5 to 4.5; p=0.001). Conclusions: Basel ine renal function is a strong independent predictor of in-hospital and long te rm mortality after UA/NSTEMI treated with very early revascularisa-tion.展开更多

文摘AIM:To investigate the correlation between gastric cancer growth and signal transducer and activator of transcription-3(STAT3) expression.METHODS:We assessed the expressions of STAT3,phosphor-STAT3(pSTAT3),suppressor of cytokine signaling-1(SOCS-1),survivin and Bcl-2 in gastric cancer patients after gastrectomy by immunohistochemical method.In addition,in situ hybridization was used to further demonstrate the mRNA expression of STAT3 in gastric cancer.RESULTS:With the univariate analysis,expressions of STAT3,pSTAT3,SOCS-1,survivin and Bcl-2,the size of primary tumor and the lymph node metastasis were found to be associated with the overall survival(OS) of gastric cancer patients.However,only pSTAT3 expression and the lymph node metastasis were identified as the independent factors of OS of gastric cancer with multivariate analysis.STAT3 expression was correlated with the lymph node metastasis.There were positive correlations between expressions of STAT3,survivin,Bcl-2 and pSTAT3 in gastric cancer,whereas there was negative correlation between STAT3 expression and SOCS-1 expression in gastric cancer.CONCLUSION:STAT3 can transform into pSTAT3 to promote the survival and inhibit the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells.SOCS-1 might be the valid molecular antagonist to inhibit the STAT3 expression in gastric cancer.
文摘The supply of cadmium from soil to plant roots mainly depends on the diffusion process. This work was conducted tostudy the effect of some soil properties on cadmium diffusion coefficient (D) in soil. Measurements were made using the Shofield and Graham-Bryce's isotopic labelling method. Cadmium diffusion coefficients varied from 10 ̄(-7) to 10 ̄(-9) cm ̄2s ̄(-1),Higher values were observed in acid sandy soils and lower values in calcareous clay soils. Liming an acid soil resulted in a sub-stantial decrease of D. Addition of cadmium as nitrate salt generally increased D, while addition of sewage sludge and organ-ic matter resulted in a significant decrease of cadmium diffusion. The rhizospheric activity also induced a moderate reduction in D. The relationships between D 10 ̄(-9)cm ̄2s ̄(-1)) on the one hand and soil PH, moisture (Mc, g kg ̄(-1)), organic matter (OM, gkg ̄1 ), clay (Cy, g kg ̄(-1)) and cadmium content (Cd, mg kg ̄(-1)) on the other were obtained by the multigle regression:D=182. 1-29.g1 pH+0.210Mc-0.303OM+0.011Cy+1.64Cd (R ̄2=0.859,n=22 ).

文摘BACKGROUND: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is considered an important complementary therapy with beneficial effects for cancer patients. Elderly patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are a complex patient group with increasing co-morbidity and shrinking physiological reserve, and may derive substantial benefit from the supportive aspects of TCM Researchers from Shanghai Longhua Hospital found that qi and yin deficiency is a common syndrome in patients with stage III or IV lung cancer. This project was designed to study the combination of single-agent chemotherapy with TCM methods of benefiting qi and yin in elderly patients with advanced NSCLC. METHODS AND DESIGN: This is a double-blind controlled, multi-center, and prospective study with randomly selected participants from elderly NSCLC patients in China. Seventy-six patients who meet the inclusion criteria will be allocated into two groups, which will receive treatments of 3-week single-agent chemotherapy with TCM or placebo for four cycles Progression-free survival (PFS) is the primary end point, and the secondary end points are overall survival, objective response rate, time-to-progression, and quality of life (EORTC QLQ-LC43, and TCM syndrome score) Meanwhile, other end points such as toxicity, side effects and safety of the treatments will be assessed. DISCUSSION: Results from this study may provide evidence on the effectiveness, and parameters for the usage of single-agent chemotherapy combined with or without TCM on PFS of elderly patients with NSCLC.
文摘Visceral artery aneurysms(VAAs) include aneurysms of the splanchnic circulation and those of the renal artery.Their diagnosis is clinically important because of the associated high mortality and potential complications.Splenic,superior mesenteric,gastroduodenal,hepatic and renal arteries are some of the common arteries affected by VAAs.Though surgical resection and anastomosis still remains the treatment of choice in some of the cases,especially cases involving the proximal arteries,increasingly endovascular treatment is being used for more distal vessels.We present a pictorial review of various intra-abdominal VAAs and their endovascular management.

文摘AIM: To investigate the correlation between cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and cell cycle-regulatory proteins in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). METHODS: One hundred and two surgically obtained specimens of ESCC were randomly collected. All specimens were obtained from patients who had not received chemoor radiotherapy prior to surgical resection.Twenty-eight specimens of normal squamous epithelium served as controls. The expression of COX-2, Ki-67, cyclin A and p27 was examined by immunohistochemistry. The Pearson test was used to analyze the relationship between groups. RESULTS: The protein level of COX-2, Ki-67 and cyclin A was significantly higher in ESCC than in normal squamous epithelium (74.7±61.2 vs 30.2 ± 43.4, 64.0 ± 51.6 vs 11.6 ± 2.3, 44.2 ± 32.2 vs 11.7 ± 5.0, respectively, all P<0.01). In contrast, the protein level of p27 was signifi cantly lower in ESCC than in normal squamous epithelium (182.0 ±69.0 vs 266.4±28.0, P<0.01). In ESCC, COX-2 expression was correlated with T stage, the score of T1-T2 stage was lower than that of T3-T4 stage (55.0±42.3 vs 83.0 ± 66.5, P<0.05), and Ki-67, cyclin A and p27 expressions were correlated with the tumor differentiation (43.8±31.7 vs 98.4± 84.8, 32.0 ± 19.0 vs 54.1 ±53.7,206.2±61.5 vs 123.5±68.3, respectively, all P<0.01). COX-2 expression was positively correlated to Ki-67, cyclin A and negatively correlated to p27 expression in ESCC (r=0.270, 0.233 and-0.311, respectively, all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The expression of COX-2 is correlated with tumor cell invasion and is closely related to the cell proliferation in patients with ESCC.

文摘High diffraction quality crystals of cucurmosin, a type I ribosome inactivating protein isolated from the sarcocarp of Cucurbita moschata (pumpkin), have been grown under newly optimised conditions. With in-house rotating anode X-ray source, these crystals diffract to 1.65 ?resolution which is much higher than that of the previously reported crystals that diffracted only to 3 ?resolution. The crystals belong to space group P212121 with cell parameters a = 41.5, b = 58.4 and c = 99.3 . Molecular replacement studies indicate that the cucurmosin structure is homologous to trichosanthin. The initial structural model has been obtained and the model fitting/ refinement is in progress.
文摘A general numerical method is presented for calculating steady three-dimensional and two-phase turbulent reactive flows with a nonstaggered body-fitted coordinate system in an annular gas turbine combustor with the dump diffuser. The modified two-equation model and the EDC turbulent combustion model are used for the gas phase. The liquid phase equations are solved in a Lagrangian frame of reference by PSIC algorithm. The effect of different velocity profiles at the entry of the prediffuser on combustor flow characteristics is calculated.
文摘Objective:The objective is to explore the potential mechanisms mediating the analgesic effect of electroacupuncture(EA)for neuropathic pain.Materials and Methods:Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were used to establish a spared nerve injury(SNI)model of neuropathic pain.The intensity of neuropathic pain was measured by assessing the mechanical withdrawal threshold and thermal withdrawal latency.Immunofluorescent analysis and western blotting were performed to evaluate the activation of microglia and Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(JAK2/STAT3)signaling in the L4-6 spinal cord of SD rats.The infiltration of Th2 and expression of interleukin-10(IL-10)in the L4-6 spine were analyzed by flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:Behavioral test results demonstrated that SNI-induced hyperalgesia was significantly ameliorated by EA stimulation at"Zusanli"(ST36)and"Yanglingquan"(GB34)points.In addition,EA therapy significantly suppressed microglia activation and phosphorylation of JAK2/STAT3 in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.Moreover,EA promoted the infiltration of Th2 and secretion of IL-10 in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.Conclusions:The study findings indicate that EA stimulation mediated the infiltration of Th2 in the spinal cord of rats with SNI.In addition,EA inhibited microglial activation in the L4-6 spine of rats with SNI.

文摘Objective:The objective is to study the network pharmacology of Qixiong formula(QXF)and explore the mechanism of QXF in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.Materials and Methods:Using Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP),a Bioinformatics Analysis Tool for Molecular mech ANism of Traditional Chinese Medicine(BATMAN-traditional Chinese medicine),and an encyclopaedia of traditional Chinese medicine(ETCM)databases as well as data from relevant studies,the effective components and targets of QXF were obtained.Genes associated with oligospermia were screened using Gene Cards,OMIM,Dis Ge Net,Drug Bank,and GAD databases.The intersection target was obtained by mapping the target to the gene,and the protein interaction network was created using the STRING database to screen the core target of QXF in the treatment of oligospermia.The intersection target was enriched using gene ontology(GO)and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis with the DAVID database.The network of the disease drug target pathway was drawn using Cytoscape software.Results:Overall,536 active components of QXF and 40 core targets for the treatment of oligoasthenozoospermia were obtained.The analysis of GO and KEGG showed that QXF is mainly involved in oxidative stress,cell motility,nutritional response,and other biological processes.Through the regulation of FOXO,p53,PI3 K/Akt,MAPK,mammalian target of rapamycin,Foxo,Wnt,and other signaling pathways,QXF played a role in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.Conclusion:QXF has multi-component,multi-target,and multi-channel characteristics,providing a new way to study the mechanism of QXF in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia.

文摘Information about disease management in winter wheat (Triticum aestiva) in eight European countries was collated and analysed by scientists and extension workers within the European Network for the Durable Exploitation of Crop Protection Strategies (ENDURE). This included information about specific disease thresholds, decision support systems, host varieties, disease prevalence and pathogen virulence. Major differences in disease prevalence and economic importance were observed. Septoria tritici blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) was recognized as the most yield reducing disease in countries with intensive wheat production, but also rust diseases (Puccinia striiformis and Puccinia triticina), powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis) and Fusarium head blight (Fusarium spp.) were seen as serious disease problems. Examples of current integrated pest management (IPM) strategies in different countries have been reported. Disease management and fungicide use patterns showed major differences, with an average input equivalent to 2.3 full dose rates (TFI) in the UK and a TFI of 0.6 in Denmark. These differences are most likely due to a combination of different cropping systems, climatic differences, disease prevalence, and socio-economic factors. The web based information platform www.eurowheat.org was used for dissemination of information and results including information on control thresholds, cultural practices which can influence disease attack, fungicide efficacy, fungicide resistance, and pathogen virulence, which are all elements supporting 1PM for disease control in wheat. The platform is open to all users. The target groups of EuroWheat information are researchers, advisors, breeders, and similar partners dealing with disease management in wheat.

文摘AIM:To investigate clinical outcomes of patients with chronic gastric volvulus(GV)who were managed conservatively over a 5-year period.METHODS:A total of 44 consecutive patients with chronic GV,as diagnosed by barium study between October 2002 and July 2008 were investigated.All of these patients received conservative management initially without anatomical correction.Their clinical manifestations,diagnostic work-ups,and clinical outcomes were analyzed.We sought to identify independent risk factors for poor outcome by using the Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS:The enrolled patients were predominantly male(n=37,84%)and of advanced age(median: 71 years old,interquartile range:57.5-78 years).Abdominal pain and fullness were the most common presentations.During the follow-up period(median:16 mo,up to 69 mo),there was no severe complication,but symptomatic recurrence was noted in 28 patients(64%).Only one patient turned to elective surgery for frequent symptoms.Peritoneal adhesion was the only independent risk factor associated with recurrence(hazard ratio:2.58,95%CI:1.08-6.13,P=0.033).CONCLUSION:Symptomatic recurrence of chronic GV is very common although serious complications infrequently occur with conservative management.Peritoneal adhesion is independently associated with recurrence.
文摘Objectives: To quantify the impact of baseline renal function on in-hospital and long term mortality in patients with unstable angina/non-ST elevation acute myocardial infarction (UA/NSTEMI) treated with a very early invasive strategy. Design: Prospective cohort study of 1400 consecutive patients with UA/NSTEMI und ergoing coronary angiography and subsequent coronary stenting of the culprit les ion as the primary revascularisation strategy within 24 hours of admission. Patients were stratified according to calculated glomerula r filtration rate (GFR) on admission. Results: In-hospital mortality was 0%amo ng patients with a GFR ≥130 ml/min/1.73 m2, 0.4%with a GFR of 90-129 ml/min/1 .73 m2, 2.6%with a GFR of 60-89 ml/min/1.73m2, and 5.1%with a GFR of < 60 ml/ min/1.73 m2. Cumulative three year survival rates were 92.6%, 95.5%, 91.9%, a nd 76.8%, respectively. Patients with a GFR of < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 were four ti mes more likely to die in hospital (hazard ratio (HR) 4.0, 95%confidence interv al (CI) 1.8 to 9.1; p=0.001) and four times more likely to die during long term follow up (HR 4.0, 95%CI 2.5 to 6.4; p< 0.001). After adjusting for potential c onfounders, a GFR of < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 remained a strong independent predictor of long term mortality (HR 2.6, 95%CI 1.5 to 4.5; p=0.001). Conclusions: Basel ine renal function is a strong independent predictor of in-hospital and long te rm mortality after UA/NSTEMI treated with very early revascularisa-tion.

Just after starting treatment with caber goline, the headaches resolved completely and the patient has been absolutely fr ee from such headache attacks for 2 years.

文摘We prove a regularity criterion for the 3D Navier-Stokes-Allen-Cahn system in a bounded smooth domain which improves the result obtained by Y. Li, S. Ding, and M. Huang [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. B, 2016, 21(5): 1507-1523]. We also present a similar result to the 3D Navier-Stokes-Cahn- Hilliard system.
