HAp nanocrystals were precipitated in a mixed solution ofNa2HPO4 (pH 9.2) and Gel solution at 37 ℃, and OBC was used to generate a three-dimensional (3D) network stent. The tensile strength of OBC-HAp-G was higher than 0.3 MPa, and the complete degradation time was approximately 90 d in Simulated Body Fluid (SBF). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy demonstrated that a coordinate bond had formed possibly between HAp and the cellulose hydroxyl. X-ray diffraction showed that both the oxidation of bacterial cellulose and an increase in Gel content induced the formation of tiny HAp crystallites during composite fabrication. Specific surface area and porosity measurements indicated that a low Gel concentration contributed to retention of porous structure. The Ca and P contents on the surface of materials increased initially and then decreased with an increase in Gel content, as measured by energy dispersive spectroscopy. From the thermogravimetric data, the increase in decomposition temperature suggested the formation of chemical bonds among OBC, HAp, and Gel. The above results suggest that the OBC-HAp-G0.3 composite is a potential bone scaffold material.展开更多

文摘To explore the appropriate exercise methods and means for astronauts in confined and small isolation conditions,a set of XunTian Tai Chi suitable for the spaceflight workforce was created, with the aim of discovering the practical effects of XunTian Tai Chi and providing a scientific basis for the subsequent development of new astronaut health maintenance techniques with Chinese characteristics.Using the Controlled Ecological Life Support System(CELSS)as a research platform,we observed the changes in a crew member’s emotion regulationrelated indexes during 180 days of working and living in a confined isolation chamber through periodic interventions of the XunTian Tai Chi and conducted statistical analyses.During the 180-day cabin mission, expression suppression, cognitive reappraisal, attention index, and relaxation index were all lower than those before entering the cabin, suggesting that the crew member’s emotion regulation ability decreased during the incabin mission.A single Tai Chi exercise could cause favorable changes in the indicators, positively affecting the crew member's emotional regulation. The attention and relaxation indices of the occupants were improved significantly by both single and periodic Tai Chi exercises. After the Tai Chi exercise cycle, the results of each index showed a certain degree of effect. The 180-day ground-based simulation of Tai Chi in the confinement of a space capsule positively affects the occupant’s emotional regulation.

文摘We studied the muscle fatigue and recovery of thirty male sprinters(aged 18–22 years)using the Frequency Analysis Method(FAM).The interferential currents(ICs)with different thresholds for sensory, motor and pain responses, the maximal voluntary contraction(MVC),and the amplitude of the surface EMG(aEMG,sEMG)were assessed prior to and immediately after an acute explosive fatigue training session, and during one-week recovery. We found that IC increased on average from 32.38.9 mA to 37.57.5 mA in sensory response at 10 Hz immediately post training(p=0.004)but decreased at 24-hr post training(p=0.008)and returned to pre-levels thereafter.Motor and pain response patterns at 10 Hz were similar(motor:p=0.033 and 0.040;pain:p=0.022 and 0.019,respectively).The change patterns of ICs were similar to but prior to the changes of sEMG.The agreement between IC assessment and amplitude of sEMG(aEMG)/MVC ratio was good(>95%).The present study suggested that the changes in ICs were prior to the changes in both the aEMG and force during fatigue. These changes may reflect the physiological sensory change due to peripheral fatigue.FAM may be useful as an effective early detection and simple tool for monitoring muscle fatigue during training and recovery in athletes.

文摘Behavioral experiments have demonstrated that long-term physical exercise can be beneficial for learning and memory dysfunction caused by neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's disease(AD).However, the molecular mechanism remains poorly understood due to a lack of sufficient pertinent biochemical evidence. We investigated the potential effect of long-term physical exercise on cognition and hippocampal gene and protein expression changes in a transgenic AD mouse model.Following twenty weeks of treadmill exercise, transgenic AD mice showed improvement in cognitive functions and downregulation of Nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)(p<0.01),interleukin-1beta(IL-1β)(p<0.05),and amyloid-β1-42(Aβ1-42)(p<0.05)expression levels. In addition,we observed significant reductions of microglial activation and hippocampal neuronal damage in the exercised AD mice(p<0.01),which might be a result of the downregulation of NLRP3-mediated signaling and neuroinflammatory responses. As neuronal damage due to inflammation might be a likely cause of AD-associated cognitive dysfunction. Our results suggested that the anti-inflammatory effects of exercise training involved downregulating the expression of key inflammatory factors and might play an important role in protecting hippocampal neurons against damage during the course of AD.
文摘Objective:We aim to investigate the effects of different exercise intensities and volumes on Phlegm-dampness constitution(PDC).Methods:The rats were fed with high-fat food and lived in 75%–85%humidity for 6 weeks to establish the model of PDC.Then PDC rats were screened and intervened by varying exercise intensities for 8 weeks.Weight, constitution scores, blood and liver tissues were collected to detect the concentration of serum total cholesterol(Tch),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),homocysteine(Hcy),blood glucose(GLU),alanine transaminase(ALT)and percentage of lipid droplet area in liver tissue(PLDA).Results:The weight,Tch,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,Hcy,GLU,and ALT of rats in moderate-intensity exercise group returned to normal. The rats with high-intensity or low-intensity exercise did not recover as well as moderate-intensity.Conclusion:Different exercise intensities and volumes have different effects on PDC,moderate-intensity exercise over an 8-week intervention is most appropriate.

文摘Under the initiative of“encouraging 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports”and the guidance of the‘Evidence-based’policy-making process, this study takes the Hierarchical Model of Leisure Constraints as the theoretical framework to empirically explore the constraints influencing the participation of residents in Southern China in ice and snow sports. After factor analysis, the constraint dimension of residents’participation was obtained, and the constraints of participants and non-participants were evaluated and compared by Propensity Score Matching(PSM).The results indicate that Chengdu residents have potential interest in and demand for winter sports, and the constraint dimensions are:facilities and services, companions, time, and personal feelings. The predisposition scores of the experimental group and the control group revealed that the constraints on interest, relevant knowledge and skills, and personal feelings of the participating group were significantly lower than those of the non-participating group, while the other constraints were not significant. We suggest that efforts should be made to increase the effective supply according to local conditions in order to reduce structural constraints, and the social attributes should be integrated into ice and snow sports to resolve the inter-personal constraints.
文摘Oxidized Bacterial Cellulose (OBC)-hydroxyapatite (HAp)-gelatin (Gel) nanocomposites were prepared by a biomimetic process. The above results suggest that the OBC-HAp-G0.3 composite is a potential bone scaffold material.

文摘Adolescence is an important stage for brain maturation. To investigate the effect of different exercise doses on inhibitory control in adolescents aged 12 to 14-year old,an after-school exercise program was offered 5 days per week for 12 weeks during a school semester.Thirsty-four adolescents(17 boys)from the first six classes were randomly divided into low-dose exercise group(LE group, one 30-min aerobic exercise bout per day,n=16)and high-dose exercise group(HE group, two 30-min aerobic exercise bouts per day,n=18),while 23 adolescents(10 boys)in the control group(CON,zero 30-min exercise bout,n=23)were from the last two classes. All the participants in different classes received the same physical education with the same contents, duration, and intensity at class. All the participants completed flanker tests and cardiorespiratory tests before and after exercise intervention. The HE group showed more significant improvements on inhibitory control and VO_(2peak)than CON(p<0.05).Changes in physical activity(PA)were significantly correlated with changes in interference scores(Spearman rho=-0.30,p<0.05),VO_(2peak)(Spearman rho=0.31,p<0.05),and BF percentage(Spearman rho=-0.32,p<0.05).This study demonstrated that effect of exercise on inhibitory control in adolescents is dose-dependent,which highlights the need to focus on the exercise dose in daily life for improving cognition among adolescents.

文摘Mental health problems are common during the transition from adolescence to young adulthood.Previous studies reported that rhythmic music plus aerobic exercise can have a beneficial effect on emotional state. We examined whether the beneficial effect differed between aerobic exercise interventions with or without rhythmic music.A sample of 94 college students who either had no depressive symptoms(n=47)or minimal depressive symptoms(n=47)underwent 30-min interventions in a randomized and counterbalanced order:rest, rhythmic music, aerobic exercise and aerobic exercise plus rhythmic music.Response time and accuracy of selective attention to positive and negative images were recorded using the spatial cueing paradigm.Participants’heart rate during all conditions and perceived exertion after each condition were measured to clarify physiological and perceptual responses, respectively. The results revealed that a multimodal intervention combining aerobic exercise and rhythmic music had a significant facilitatory effect on attentional bias to positive emotional cues in minimal depressive participants(t=-2.336,p=0.024),including less perceived exertion and higher heart rate after/during the intervention process. The single-modality intervention of aerobic exercise had significant positive effects for individuals with no depressive symptoms(t=2.510,p=0.016).The multimodal intervention was more effective than the single-modality intervention for individuals with minimal depressive symptoms, but the single-modality aerobic exercise intervention was more effective for individuals with no depressive symptoms, providing new evidence for the specificity of the intervention effect for people with different degrees of depressive symptoms.
文摘The ability of physical activity to ameliorate cardiovascular disease and improve cardiovascular health is well accepted, but many aspects of the molecular mechanisms underlying these benefits are incompletely understood.Exercise increases the levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)through various mechanisms. This triggers the activation of Nrf2,a redox-sensitive transcription factor activated by increases in oxidative stress.Activation of Nrf2 mitigates oxidative stress by increasing the nuclear transcription of many antioxidant genes while also mediating additional beneficial effects through the cytoprotective nature of Nrf2 signaling.Understanding the transcriptional patterns of Nrf2 caused by exercise can help in the design of pharmacological mimicry of the process in patients who are unable to exercise for various reasons.
文摘Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is a new method in linguistic analysis. Usually approached from the angles of linguistics, sociology and psychology, CDA aims to uncover through analyzing linguistic forms, the relations between language and ideology. By applying the specific methods of transitivity, transformation, modality and classification in CDA to a report on Barack Obama in The New York Times--a mainstream media in the United States, this paper aims to reveal the ideology hidden in the report, so as to raise the readers' awareness of perceiving unconscious ideologies in news and help them to have a deeper understanding of news and the language in news.
