From 1950s,a large number of tombs of the Western Zhou have been excavated over the area of Luoyang.The present paper just discusses on the tombs with pottery objects(exclud-ing those in which any bronze vessels hav...From 1950s,a large number of tombs of the Western Zhou have been excavated over the area of Luoyang.The present paper just discusses on the tombs with pottery objects(exclud-ing those in which any bronze vessels have been found.After the typological analysis,the typical tombs and the pottery vessels can be divided into six groups and three periods.Group Ⅰto Group Ⅵ respectively correspond to the reigns of kingwu and Cheng,thereigns of king hang and Zhao,the reigns of king Mu and Gong,the reigns of king Yi(懿)and Xiao,the reigns of king Yi(夷),Gong He and early years of king Xuan,the reigns of the late king Xuan and king You.The tombs of early and middle period were found on the east bank of Chan River;the tombs of late period were discovered on both sides ofjlan River and the area of White Horse Temple.Bycomparing with the tombs excavated in Xi’an and Anyang,he author regards that these tombs belong to the adherens of Yin Dynasty and therefore they reflect the inheri-tance to Yin展开更多
