With their high-resolution and capability to image under aqueous solution, AFM is applied to investigate the structure of biomolecules and biological process in real time. From visualization of DNA and IgG to DNA transcription, the advances in sample preparation methods have made these events come true. In addition, AFM can be used in molecular recognition. This article illustrates these major achievements of AFM in biological studies.展开更多
