The problem of art forgery and infringement is becoming increasingly prominent,since diverse self-media contents with all kinds of art pieces are released on the Internet every day.For art paintings,object detection a...The problem of art forgery and infringement is becoming increasingly prominent,since diverse self-media contents with all kinds of art pieces are released on the Internet every day.For art paintings,object detection and localization provide an efficient and ef-fective means of art authentication and copyright protection.However,the acquisition of a precise detector requires large amounts of ex-pensive pixel-level annotations.To alleviate this,we propose a novel weakly supervised object localization(WSOL)with background su-perposition erasing(BSE),which recognizes objects with inexpensive image-level labels.First,integrated adversarial erasing(IAE)for vanilla convolutional neural network(CNN)dropouts the most discriminative region by leveraging high-level semantic information.Second,a background suppression module(BSM)limits the activation area of the IAE to the object region through a self-guidance mechanism.Finally,in the inference phase,we utilize the refined importance map(RIM)of middle features to obtain class-agnostic loc-alization results.Extensive experiments are conducted on paintings,CUB-200-2011 and ILSVRC to validate the effectiveness of our BSE.展开更多

In general, these art movies improved the overall quality of Chinese movies and the aesthetic appreciation of Chinese viewers. While highlighting the values of art and thought amid the commercial or entertainment movies, the art movies aroused public concern for domestic movies. Domestic art movies in 2016 are characterized by a close link between their art form and avant–garde style and their realist approach, affinity to the people and thought–provoking insight. Such characteristics enabled them to make new contributions to the development of realism. Some exhibited the producers' relentless exploration and pursuit of innovation, vividly demonstrating the diversity of contemporary art movies. For example, some delivered an impressive modern interpretation of traditional Chinese aesthetic philosophy–"the extraordinary lies in the ordinary;"some had a novel camera expression and unique space–time composition; some established an in–depth connection between laughter and critical thinking by combining comic and tragic elements; some rendered innovative presentations by integrating modern style with ethnic culture; and some adopted ideographic means to enhance the significance of art movies. At present, however, Chinese art movies still lack a grand spiritual vision, with their themes to be further enriched and their concepts and expressions to be better integrated. Recently,vision-based gesture recognition(VGR)has become a hot research spot in human-computer interaction(HCI).Unlike other gesture recognition methods with data gloves or other wearable sensors,vision-based gesture ...Recently,vision-based gesture recognition(VGR)has become a hot research spot in human-computer interaction(HCI).Unlike other gesture recognition methods with data gloves or other wearable sensors,vision-based gesture recognition could lead to more natural and intuitive HCI interactions.This paper reviews the state-of-the-art vision-based gestures recognition methods,from different stages of gesture recognition process,i.e.,(1)image acquisition and pre-processing,(2)gesture segmentation,(3)gesture tracking,(4)feature extraction,and(5)gesture classification.This paper also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these various methods in detail.Finally,the challenges of vision-based gesture recognition in haptic rendering and future research directions are discussed.展开更多
