A method based on newly presented state space formulations is developed for analyzing the bending, vibration and stability of laminated transversely isotropic rectangular plates with simply supported edges. By introducing two displacement functions and two stress functions, two independent state equations were constructed based on the three_dimensional elasticity equations for transverse isotropy. The original differential equations are thus decoupled with the order reduced that will facilitate obtaining solutions of various problems. For the simply supported rectangular plate, two relations between the state variables at the top and bottom surfaces were established. In particular, for the free vibration (stability) problem, it is found that there exist two independent classes: One corresponds to the pure in_plane vibration (stability) and the other to the general bending vibration (stability). Numerical examples are finally presented and the effects of some parameters are discussed. 展开更多

Waves occurring in cold-rolled plates or sheets can be divided into longitudinal and transverse waves. Classical leveling theories merely solve the problem of longitudinal waves, while no well accepted method can be employed for transverse waves. In order to investigate the essential deformation law of leveling for plates with transverse waves, a 2.5-dimensional (2.5- D) analytical approach was proposed. In this model, the plate was transversely divided into some strips with equal width; the strips are considered to be in the state of plane strain and each group of adjacent strips are assumed to be deformation compatible under stress. After calculation, the bending deformation of each strip and the leveling effect of overall plate were obtained by comprehensNe consideration of various strips along with the width. Bending of roller is a main approach to eliminate the transverse waves, which is widely accepted by the industry, but the essential effect of bending of roller on the deformation of plates and the calculation of bending of roller are unknown. According to the 2.5-D analytical model, it can be found that, for plates, it is neutral plane offsetting and middle plane elongation or contraction under inner stress that can effectively improve plate shape. Taking double side waves as an example, the appropriate values of bending of roller were obtained by the 2.5-D analytical model related to different initial unevenness, which was applicable to the current on-line adjusting of bending of roller in rolling industry. 展开更多

Formation mechanism of transverse crack in repair welding for thick plate of Q345 high strength steel 被引量:1

Therefore, it is ... Transverse cracks occur usually in repair welding for thick plate of high strength steel. It needs multiple times of repair welding. The quality of production and deliver deadline will be influenced. Therefore, it is very significant to investigate the cause and control of transverse crack in repair welding. In this paper, both ends restraint crack experiment is developed to produce delay transverse crack for high strength steel. Metallographic results show that four types of cracks are found in repair welding metal zone and heat affected zone. Large chevron transverse cracks are found in repair welding zone. Lots of micro transverse cracks are found in inter-layer repair welding metal zone, root HAZ and two ends of repair welding individually. The distribution character and formation mechanism of the transverse crack are further analyzed through hardness testing and residual stress measurement. 展开更多

This paper presents an extension of mathematical static model to dynamic problems of micropolar elastic plates, recently developed by the authors. The dynamic model is based on the generalization of Hellinger-Prange-Reissner (HPR) variational principle for the linearized micropolar (Cosserat) elastodynamics. The vibration model incorporates high accuracy assumptions of the micropolar plate deformation. The computations predict additional natural frequencies, related with the material microstructure. These results are consistent with the size-effect principle known from the micropolar plate deformation. The classic Mindlin-Reissner plate resonance frequencies appear as a limiting case for homogeneous materials with no microstructure. 展开更多

Based on Reddy's theory of plates with higher order shear deformations and the Boltzmann superposition principles, the governing equations were established for dynamic stability of viscoelastic plates with finite deformations taking account of shear effects. The Galerkin method was applied to simplify the set of equations. The numerical methods in nonlinear dynamics were used to solve the simplified system. It could be seen that there are plenty of dynamic properties for this kind of viscoelastic plates under transverse harmonic loads. The influences of the transverse shear deformations and material parameter on the dynamic behavior of nonlinear viscoelastic plates were investigated. 展开更多

Classical bending theories for beams and plates can not be used for short, stubby beams and thick plates since transverse shearing effect is excluded, and ordinary theories with multiple generalized displacements can not be used for long, slender beams and thin plates since the innate relation between rotation angle and deflection is ignored. These two types of theories are not consistent due to the contradiction of dependence and independence of the rotation angle. Based on several basic assumptions, a new type of theories which not only include the transverse shearing effect is presented, but also the relation between potation angle and deflection is obtained. Analytical solutions of several simple beams are given. It has been testified by numerical examples that the new theories can be used for either long, slender beams and thin plates or short, stubby beams and thick plates. 展开更多

以大连星海湾大桥为工程背景,分析车轮载荷横向分布对正交异性桥面板疲劳性能的影响规律。应用自编的ABAQUS子程序HLOAD,计算得到最不利车轮加载位置,避免了影响面的计算。首先进行横桥向加载,得到正交异性桥面板细节部位横桥向应力影... 以大连星海湾大桥为工程背景,分析车轮载荷横向分布对正交异性桥面板疲劳性能的影响规律。应用自编的ABAQUS子程序HLOAD,计算得到最不利车轮加载位置,避免了影响面的计算。首先进行横桥向加载,得到正交异性桥面板细节部位横桥向应力影响线和横桥向车轮最不利加载位置。然后根据《公路钢结构桥梁设计规范》(JTG D64—2015),在车轮载荷横桥向最不利位置附近选取5个加载区域,在每个区域内进行车轮载荷纵桥向加载,得到车轮载荷纵向最不利加载位置和细节部位的应力幅,并验算细节部位的等效常值应力幅。计算结果表明,星海湾跨海大桥正交异性钢桥面板U肋过横隔板处开槽部位的等效疲劳应力幅为33.50 MPa,疲劳性能满足《公路钢结构桥梁设计规范》(JTG D64—2015)相关要求。 展开更多
