Most foreign body ingestions in adults occur while eating, leading to either bone or meat bolus impaction. Flexible endoscopy is the therapeutic method of choice for relieving food impaction and removing true foreign bodies with a success rate of over 95% and with mini-mal complications. This review describes a comprehen-sive approach towards patients presenting with foreign body ingestion. This paper attempts to present the findings involving rockbursts classification, rockburst failure criteria, and related control measures. Experimental investigations were performed using the strainburst testing machine and impact-induced rockburst testing machine. According to the stress paths and experimental methods, rockbursts were classified into two major groups, i.e. the strainbursts and impact-induced bursts. The mechanisms and criteria of rockburst obtained from experimental investigations were discussed. Then, the developments of constant-resistance and large-deformation bolt (CRLDB), which can adapt itself to the external loading at a constant resistance by elongating continually, were introduced. The deformation energy Of country rocks with large deformation can be absorbed by CRLDBs. Finally, the principles and the experimental results for control and prevention of rockburst using the CRLDBs were presented. 展开更多

However, only 5% of polyps are ... A gallbladder polyp is an elevation of the gallbladder mucosa that protrudes into the gallbladder lumen. Gallbladder polyps have an estimated prevalence in adults of between 0.3%-12.3%. However, only 5% of polyps are considered to be "true" gallbladder polyps, meaning that they are malignant or have malignant potential. The main radiological modality used for diagnosing and surveilling gallbladder polyps is transabdominal ultrasonography. However, evidence shows that other modalities such as endoscopic ultrasound may improve diagnostic accuracy. These are discussed in turn during the course of this review. Current guidelines recommend cholecystectomy for gallbladder polyps sized 10 mm and greater, although this threshold is lowered when other risk factors are identified. The evidence behind this practice is relatively low quality. This review identifies current gaps in the available evidence and highlights the necessity for further research to enable better decision making regarding which patients should undergo cholecystectomy, and/or radiological follow-up. 展开更多

It has become an inevitable trend of human development to seek resources from the deep underground.However,rock encountered in deep underground engineering is usually in an anisotropic stress state(σ_(1)>σ>σ_(3))due to the influences of geological structures and engineering disturbances.It is therefore essential to study the mechanical,seepage,and dynamic disaster behaviors of deep rock under true triaxial stress to ensure the safe operation of deep rock engineering and the efficient exploitation of deep resources.In recent years,experimental techniques and research on true triaxial rock mechanics have achieved fruitful results that have promoted the rapid development of deep rock mechanics;thus,it is necessary to systematically review and summarize these developments.This work first introduced several typical true triaxial testing apparatus and then reviewed the corresponding research progress on rock deformation,strength,failure mode,brittleness,and energy as well as the 3D volumetric fracturing(dynamic disaster)properties of deep rocks under true triaxial stress.Then,several commonly used true triaxial rock strength criteria and their applicability,the permeability characteristics and mathematical models of deep reservoir rocks,and the disaster-causing processes and mechanisms of disturbed volumetric fracturing(rockburst,compound dynamic disasters)in deep rock engineering were described.This work may provide an essential reference for addressing the true triaxial rock mechanics issues involved in deep rock engineering,especially regarding the stability of surrounding rock at depth,disaster prevention and control,and oil and gas exploitation. 展开更多

It is indicated that the true corrected fructose level is a simple method for the assessment ofthe seminal vesicular function. Measurement of seminal fructose used universally as a marker of the seminal vesiclefunction is not an appropriate approach due to its inverse relationship with the sperm count. The true corrected fructosedefined as [log. motile sperm concentration] multiplied by [seminal fructose concentration] has been shown to be abetter marker of the seminal vesicle function. Seminal vesicular secretion is important for semen coagulation, sperm motility, and stability of sperm chromatinand suppression of the immune activity in the female reproductive tract. In conclusion, the function of seminal vesicle is important for fertility. Parameters as sperm motility, sperm chro-matin stability, and immuno-protection may be changed in case of its hypofunction. 目的:探讨MRI对前置胎盘并胎盘植入的诊断价值。方法:将临床疑诊前置胎盘的63例患者分别行经腹超声及MRI检查,MRI采用半傅里叶采集单次激发快速自旋回波(HASTE)序列和真实稳态进动快速成像(true FISP)序列,以手术或病理为金标准,比较MR... 目的:探讨MRI对前置胎盘并胎盘植入的诊断价值。方法:将临床疑诊前置胎盘的63例患者分别行经腹超声及MRI检查,MRI采用半傅里叶采集单次激发快速自旋回波(HASTE)序列和真实稳态进动快速成像(true FISP)序列,以手术或病理为金标准,比较MRI与超声对胎盘植入的诊断效能。比较MRI两种序列对前置胎盘并胎盘植入各征象的显示率。结果:63例临床疑诊前置胎盘患者中,合并胎盘植入者46例,发生率为73%。HASTE联合true FISP序列能较超声更清晰的显示胎盘结构及胎盘植入灶。超声的诊断敏感度为52.2%,特异度为64.7%;MRI产前诊断的敏感度为97.8%,特异度为76.5%。HASTE序列对子宫下段肌层、联合带、胎盘内低信号及植入灶的显示率均高于true FISP序列(P均<0.05)。结论:与超声相比,MRI HASTE序列对前置胎盘合并胎盘植入的诊断具有更大优势。 展开更多

As a result, the true stress versus true strain curves and the microstructures under various deformation conditions are obtained. The microstructures gradually incline to dynamic-recrystallization with the deformation temperature rising and the recrystallization grains refine with the decrease of deformation temperature or with raising the strain rates. The quantitative relationship between the Zener-Hollomon parameter (Z) and average recrystallization grain size in the subsequent heat treatment is set up. 展开更多

It is not uncommon that backfill material used in underground mining being exposed to repetitive dynamic stresses induced by blasting operations or rockburst events. Understanding the strength and fracture evolution of backfilled stopes is critical to maintain the long-term stope stability and ensure safe mining activities. This paper aims to study the damage evolution of the backfill material and its host rock behaviour under three-dimensional(3D) dynamic loading. Using a true-triaxial testing machine, multiple samples of backfill material enclosed by country rock were fabricated and tested under various dynamic loadings with different true-triaxial confining stress conditions. In addition, the nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) measurement was conducted on the samples before and after exerting static and dynamic loading to obtain their porosity distribution changes. The experiment results suggested that with the increase of the dynamic loading, the porosity of the backfill sample goes through a two-stage process,which shows a slightly linear decrease and then followed by an exponential increase. The research findings can help understand the damage mechanism and fracture development of backfilled stopes and its host rock in deep underground mines, which are constantly subject to the combination of 3D static confining stress and dynamic loading. 展开更多

Strainburst is one type of rockburst that generally occurs in deep tunnel.In this study,the strainburst behaviors of marble specimens were investigated under tunnel-excavation-induced stress condition,and two stress paths were designed,a commonly used stress path in true triaxial unloading rockburst tests and a new test path in which the intermediate principal stress was varied.During the tests,a high-speed camera was used to record the strainburst process,and an acoustic emission(AE)monitoring system was used to monitor the AE characteristics of failure.In these two stress paths,all the marble specimens exhibited strainbursts;however,when the intermediate principal stress was varied,the rockburst became more violent.The obtained results indicate that the intermediate principal stress has a significant effect on rockburst behavior of marble.Under a higher intermediate principal stress before the unloading,more elastic strain energy was accumulated in the specimen,and the cumulative AE energy was higher in the rockburst-induced failure,i.e.,more elastic strain energy was released during the failure.Therefore,more violent failure was observed:more rock fragments with a higher mass and larger size were ejected outward. 展开更多

The mechanism of slabbing failure is still unclear. In order to reveal the influence of the intermediate principal stress (σ2) on slabbing failure, true triaxial unloading compressive test was carried out based on the stress path of the underground engineering excavation, i.e., unloading the minimum principal stress (σ3), keeping σ2, increasing the maximum principal stress (σ1). The initiation and the propagation of slabbing fracture in rock specimens were identified by examining the acoustic emission (AE) and the infrared radiation characterization. The test results show that the failure modes of the granite and red sandstone specimens are changed from shear to slabbing with the increase of σ2. The AE characteristic of rock specimen under low σ2 is swarm type which is the main shock type under high σ2. The infrared radiation properties of rock specimen under different σ2 are also different. The temperature change area is just along the shear fracture such as the uniaxial compression. With the increase of σ2, the temperature change area is planar of rock specimen which proofs that the failure mode of rock specimen turns into slabbing. 展开更多

A novel control algorithm with fixed pulse thrust, based on true proportional navigation(TPN), is proposed for exoatmospheric intercept.According to the TPN guidance law and pulse thrust characteristics, the principle of control command is presented, the control stability and precision are analyzed.With the help of the TPN guidance law, the algorithm can automatically modulate the turn-on time and duration of the thrust, which could effectively limit the impact of measure noise of the line-of-sight(LOS) angle and rate on the interception miss-distance.At last, the number-theoretic method(NTM) is introduced to acquire the relation between control algorithm and miss-distance, even as it simulates the intercept process with initial state noise.And the reliability of the algorithm is demonstrated with the simulation result. 展开更多

The spatial scaling of retrieved LAI has been widely studied in recent years. Based on the new canopy reflectance model, the mechanism of the scaling effect of con- tinuous canopy Leaf Area Index is studied, and the scaling transform formula among different scales is found. To investigate the acoustic emission(AE)precursors of coarse-grained hard rock instability,an experimental study on the rockburst and slabbing process of granite was carried out using a true triaxial test system.The evolution of the AE signals was monitored and analyzed in terms of the AE hit rate,fractal dimension of the AE hit number,AE count rate,b-value,dominant frequency and microcrack type.The test results show that after rock slabbing occurs,the AE precursors that can be used to predict the final dynamic instability(rockburst)are as follows:indicators such as the AE hit rate and AE count rate suddenly increase and then suddenly decrease;the AE hit rate exhibits a“quiet period”;during the“quiet period”,a small number of high-amplitude and low-frequency hits occur,and the signals corresponding to shear fracture continue to increase.The AE precursors for the final static instability(spalling)are as follows:both the AE hit rate and the b-value continuously decrease,and intermittent sudden increases appear in the high-frequency hits or the AE count rate. 展开更多
