Background:There is currently no standard adjuvant treatment proven to prevent hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)recurrence.Recent studies suggest that postoperative adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization(PA-TACE)is bene...Background:There is currently no standard adjuvant treatment proven to prevent hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)recurrence.Recent studies suggest that postoperative adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization(PA-TACE)is beneficial for patients at high risk of tumor recurrence.However,it is difficult to select the patients.The present study aimed to develop an easy-to-use score to identify these patients.Methods:A total of 4530 patients undergoing liver resection were recruited.Independent risk factors were identified by Cox regression model in the training cohort and the Primary liver cancer big data transarterial chemoembolization(PDTE)scoring system was established.Results:The scoring system was composed of ten risk factors including alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),albuminbilirubin(ALBI)grade,operative bleeding loss,resection margin,tumor capsular,satellite nodules,tumor size and number,and microvascular and macrovascular invasion.Using 5 points as risk stratification,the patients with PA-TACE had higher recurrence-free survival(RFS)compared with non-TACE in>5 points group(P<0.001),whereas PA-TACE patients had lower RFS compared with non-TACE in≤5 points group(P=0.013).In the training and validation cohorts,the C-indexes of PDTE scoring system were 0.714[standard errors(SE)=0.010]and 0.716(SE=0.018),respectively.Conclusions:The model is a simple tool to identify PA-TACE for HCC patients after liver resection with a favorable performance.Patients with>5 points may benefit from PA-TACE.展开更多

Indoor air quality will be improved by the ded...The hybrid system with radiant cooling and dedicated outdoor air not only possesses high energy efficiency, but also creates a healthy and comfortable indoor environment. Indoor air quality will be improved by the dedicated outdoor air system(DOAS) and indoor thermal comfort can be enhanced by the radiant cooling system(RCS). The optimal air-supply mode of the hybrid system and the corresponding design approach were investigated. A full-scale experimental chamber with various air outlets and the ceiling radiant cooling panels(CRCP) was designed and established. The performances of different air-supply modes along with CRCPs were analyzed by multi-index evaluations. Preliminary investigations were also conducted on the humidity stratification and the control effect of different airflow modes to prevent condensation on CRCP. The overhead supply air is recommended as the best combination mode for the hybrid system after comprehensive comparison of the experiment results. The optimal proportion of CRCP accounting for the total cooling capacities in accord with specific cooling loads is found, which may provide valuable reference for the design and operation of the hybrid system.展开更多

The household registration system has been a basic institutional arrangement in Chinese society. Under this system, registered residence (hukou) plays an important role in resource allocation and interest distributi...The household registration system has been a basic institutional arrangement in Chinese society. Under this system, registered residence (hukou) plays an important role in resource allocation and interest distribution, and thus exerts a significant impact on social stratification and mobility. After nearly three decades of reform and opening up, does it still play a role, and, if so, what is this role? Drawing on data from the China General Social Survey, we find that China's social stratification is characterized by the simultaneous existence of differentiation between urban and rural hukou and hierarchy within urban hukou; furthermore, there is a positive correlation between one's opportunities for social mobility and the possibility of changing and transferring one's hukou. Despite the increasing social mobility ensuing from market-oriented transformation, the hukou hierarchy and its structural influence on mobility within the institutional framework persist. The strongly conglutinative nature of the household registration system has given rise to social disparities. The basic direction for reform of the system should be unification ofhukou and free choice of movement from one place to another.展开更多

The object for this paper is to understand the behaviour of an under floor air distribution system in a ventilated space. The thermal stratification characteristics in a real UFAD experimental space were measured. The effects of different supply conditions on the thermal stratification characteristics are investigated based on the experimental results. The relations between space air stratification and the control parameter is predicted. It can be indicated that there are 4 zones composing the vertical thermal stratification. Background:The incidence of combined hepatocellular carcinoma-intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(cHCC-ICC)is relatively low,and the knowledge about the prognosis of cHCC-ICC remains obscure.In the study,we aimed to scree...Background:The incidence of combined hepatocellular carcinoma-intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(cHCC-ICC)is relatively low,and the knowledge about the prognosis of cHCC-ICC remains obscure.In the study,we aimed to screen existing primary liver cancer staging systems and shed light on the prognosis and risk factors for cHCC-ICC.Methods:We retrospectively reviewed 206 cHCC-ICC patients who received curative surgical resection from April 1999 to March 2017.The correlation of survival measures with the histological types or with tumor staging systems was determined and predictive values of tumor staging systems with cHCC-ICC prognosis were compared.Results:The histological type was not associated with overall survival(OS)(P=0.338)or disease-free survival(DFS)(P=0.843)of patients after curative surgical resection.BCLC,TNM for HCC,and TNM for ICC stages correlated with both OS and DFS in cHCC-ICC(all P<0.05).The predictive values of TNM for HCC and TNM for ICC stages were similar in terms of predicting postoperative OS(P=0.798)and DFS(P=0.191)in cHCC-ICC.TNM for HCC was superior to BCLC for predicting postoperative OS(P=0.022)in cHCC-ICC.Conclusion:The TNM for HCC staging system should be prioritized for clinical applications in predicting cHCC-ICC prognosis.展开更多
