As a typical region with high water demand for agricultural production,understanding the spatiotemporal surface water changes in Northeast China is critical for water resources management and sustainable development.H...As a typical region with high water demand for agricultural production,understanding the spatiotemporal surface water changes in Northeast China is critical for water resources management and sustainable development.However,the long-term variation characteristics of surface water of different water body types in Northeast China remain rarely explored.This study investigated how surface water bodies of different types(e.g.,lake,reservoir,river,coastal aquaculture,marsh wetland,ephemeral water) changed during1999–2020 in Northeast China based on various remote sensing-based datasets.The results showed that surface water in Northeast China grew dramatically in the past two decades,with an equivalent area increasing from 24 394 km^(2) in 1999 to 34 595 km^(2) in 2020.The surge of ephemeral water is the primary driver of surface water expansion,which could ascribe to shifted precipitation pattern.Marsh wetlands,rivers,and reservoirs experienced a similar trend,with an approximate 20% increase at the interdecadal scale.By contrast,coastal aquacultures and natural lakes remain relatively stable.This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive investigation of the surface water variability in Northeast China and has important practical significance for the scientific management of different types of surface water.展开更多

Existing methods tend to model the spatiotemporal feature blocks in an integrate-separate-integrate form, such as appearance-and-relation network(ARTNet) and spatiotemporal and motion network(STM). However, with blocks stacking up, the rear part of the network has poor interpretability. To avoid this problem, we propose a novel architecture called spatial temporal relation network(STRNet), which can learn explicit information of appearance, motion and especially the temporal relation information. Specifically, our STRNet is constructed by three branches,which separates the features into 1) appearance pathway, to obtain spatial semantics, 2) motion pathway, to reinforce the spatiotemporal feature representation, and 3) relation pathway, to focus on capturing temporal relation details of successive frames and to explore long-term representation dependency. In addition, our STRNet does not just simply merge the multi-branch information, but we apply a flexible and effective strategy to fuse the complementary information from multiple pathways. We evaluate our network on four major action recognition benchmarks: Kinetics-400, UCF-101, HMDB-51, and Something-Something v1, demonstrating that the performance of our STRNet achieves the state-of-the-art result on the UCF-101 and HMDB-51 datasets, as well as a comparable accuracy with the state-of-the-art method on Something-Something v1 and Kinetics-400.展开更多

Recent years have witnessed an increasing interest in using spa...A spatiotemporal atlas refers to a standard image sequence that represents the general motion pattern of the targeted anatomy across a group of subjects. Recent years have witnessed an increasing interest in using spatiotemporal atlas for scientific research and clinical applications in image processing, data analysis and medical imaging. However, the generation of spatiotemporal atlas is often time-consuming and computationally expensive due to the nonlinear image registration procedures involved. This research targets at accelerating the generation of spatiotemporal atlas by formulating the atlas generation procedure as a multi-level modulation (M-ary) classification problem. In particular, we have implemented a fast template matching method based on singular value decomposition, and applied it to generate high quality spatiotemporal atlas with reasonable time and computational complexity. The performance has been systematically evaluated on public accessible data sets. The results and conclusions hold promise for further developing advanced algorithms for accelerating generation of spatiotemporal atlas.展开更多
交通拥堵检测是城市交通管理工作的重点和难点之一,现有的拥堵检测以路段为单位,不利于拥堵时空演变规律信息的提取,且检测内容大多只涉及拥堵程度,缺少对拥堵类型的识别。基于CART(classification and regression tree)分类树算法,提...交通拥堵检测是城市交通管理工作的重点和难点之一,现有的拥堵检测以路段为单位,不利于拥堵时空演变规律信息的提取,且检测内容大多只涉及拥堵程度,缺少对拥堵类型的识别。基于CART(classification and regression tree)分类树算法,提出一种以路段点为检测单元的拥堵点分类检测方法,该方法可根据路段平均行驶速度实时检测拥堵点及其类型。首先,将路段等距离划分后映射为路段点,根据时空维路况异常规则和异常模式,以路段点为单元分析了4种拥堵类型的时空演变模式;其次,在路段路况检测的基础上,提取路段点路况时空序列,根据不同类型的拥堵模式对路况时空序列进行分类标记;然后,选取4种速度指标作为样本属性集合,按照属性集合提取各路段点在各时段的速度,以此作为决策树学习的数据集;最后,基于CART分类树算法,采用交叉验证的方式训练出最优模型,使其达到最佳的泛化能力。与支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)分类模型进行比较,实验结果表明,该方法在分类检测交通拥堵点时具有较高的正确率和召回率,且分类检测时效性较好。展开更多
