As the all-around transition and progress of our society,water conserva...Since the construction of new socialist countryside," agriculture,rural areas and farmers" have been in the pivotal development period. As the all-around transition and progress of our society,water conservancy construction and other rural public facilities and services seriously lag behind,and it has restricted the formation of long-term mechanism for water conservancy development and brought hidden trouble to harmonious countryside. Based on the great changes of traditional rural areas in politics,economy,society,humanity and ecological,we firstly analyze the status quo of agriculture,rural areas and farmers,then discuss the multiple attributes of water conservancy to construct the longterm mechanism for water conservancy development.展开更多
Using ab initio molecular orbital theory at the SOCI/MCSCF/HF/DH+d level, the equilibrium geometries, total energies, harmonic vibrational frequencies, zerro point vibrational energy and potential energy curves of the...Using ab initio molecular orbital theory at the SOCI/MCSCF/HF/DH+d level, the equilibrium geometries, total energies, harmonic vibrational frequencies, zerro point vibrational energy and potential energy curves of the ground state and 8 excited states of Si2 molecule were obtained. The relationship between the bond length and the electronic codriguration of the state was discussed. The results revealed that bond length and the harmonic vibrational frequency of the molecule strongly depended upon the number of π-electrons in the bonding MO’s. The reported states 3Πg, 5∑,3△u,3∑. havenot been seen in literatures.展开更多
In American literary history,two ocean novels,Herman Melville's Moby Dick and Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea,have always been comparatively studied.Much research focuses on the two protagonists,Aha...In American literary history,two ocean novels,Herman Melville's Moby Dick and Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea,have always been comparatively studied.Much research focuses on the two protagonists,Ahab in Moby Dick and Santiago in The Old Manand the Sea,to praise their heroic spirit,which is shared with other commonly acknowledged heroes.However,unique heroic characteristics of Ahab and Santiago which are tinged with the time flavor are commonly neglected.Enlightenment,which took on different facets in the 19th and 20th centuries,and American social development in different stages contributed a lot to the forming of the two heroic styles.In conclusion,Ahab and Santiago,in the sense of the affirmation of one's value and the defence of their dignity,are heroes,and meanwhile,their heroic behaviors are adapted to the whole atmosphere of a specific time stage.展开更多

Based on qualitative data from in-depth interviews,participative observation,and literature study,this paper aims to get insights into the patterns and process of the citizenization of native villagers living in Liede...Based on qualitative data from in-depth interviews,participative observation,and literature study,this paper aims to get insights into the patterns and process of the citizenization of native villagers living in Liede Community,which is the first redeveloped urban village in Guangzhou.Investigation on villagers' citizenization level is carried out to examine how the redevelopment project affects villagers' citizenization.Our finding reveals that the redevelopment project has improved villagers' living conditions and income levels remarkably,has facilitated the mixed housing patterns of diversified social groups,and has increased their chances to be integrated into urban social life.Nevertheless,as villagers kept their traditional mode of thinking,behavioral habits,and lifestyles,the citizenization process made little progress in terms of land ownership,management mode,mode of livelihood,and citizen identity.Therefore,the Liede redevelopment project has turned out to be a "passive citizenization" process,i.e.,villagers merely received socio-economic benefits from the redevelopment passively but remained isolated from the socio-economic and cultural system of the city.Finally,this paper proposes some policy suggestions to promote the citizenization from both conceptual and practical perspectives.展开更多
