For this purpose, here we conduct a multi-disciplinary investigation and combine it with the previous studies to reas- sess the tectonics and evolution of SCC and propose that the tectonic framework of the continent comprises two blocks, three types of tectonic units, four deformation systems, and four evolutionary stages with distinctive mechanism and tectonic characteris- tics since the Neoproterozoic. The four evolutionary stages are: (1) The amalgamation and break-up of the Neoproterozoic plates, typically the intracontinental rifting. (2) The early Paleozoic and Mesozoic intracontinental orogeny confined by plate tectonics, forming two composite tectonic domains. (3) The parallel operation of the Yangtze cratonization and intracontinental orogeny, and multi-phase reactivation of the Yangtze craton. (4) The association and differentiation evolution of plate tectonics and intraconti- nental tectonics, and the dynamic characteristics under the Meso-Cenozoic modem global plate tectonic regime.展开更多

Its accuracy depends completely on the basis functions selected. This paper selects the superposition of sine series with polynomials as the basis functions of thin rectangular plates. The calculating formulae are not only simple and easily programmed, but also have high accuracy. Finally, two numerical results are given and compared with those obtained by the classical method.展开更多
For plane singly-connected domains with insulating boundary and four point-sized contacts, C<sub>0</sub> …C<sub>3</sub>, van der Pauw derived a famous equation relating the two trans-...For plane singly-connected domains with insulating boundary and four point-sized contacts, C<sub>0</sub> …C<sub>3</sub>, van der Pauw derived a famous equation relating the two trans-resistances R<sub>01,23</sub>, R<sub>12,30</sub> with the sheet resistance without any other parameters. If the domain has one hole van der Pauw’s equation becomes an inequality with upper and lower bounds, the envelopes. This was conjectured by Szymański et al. in 2013, and only recently it was proven by Miyoshi et al. with elaborate mathematical tools. The present article gives new proofs closer to physical intuition and partly with simpler mathematics. It relies heavily on conformal transformation and it expresses for the first time the trans-resistances and the lower envelope in terms of Jacobi functions, elliptic integrals, and the modular lambda elliptic function. New simple formulae for the asymptotic limit of a very large hole are also given.展开更多
