The effect of Mo on microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistant property of depos ited metal was investigated. Experimental results show that with the increase of Mo content in deposited metals, the phase transformation temperature decreases, and the ferrite zone in CCT diagram moves rightward, resulting in en larged bainite zone and reduced ferrite and pearlite zone. The addition of 0.24 mass% Mo in deposited metal results in the increase of tensile strength, more M-A constituent and less high angle grain which reduce the low temperature toughness. It is found that Mo can raise the weathering resistance of deposited metal in industrial atmosphere. Analy sis indicates that Mo may enrich in the inner rust layer, produce MoO3, enhance the formation of compact rust film and impede the anode dissolution reaction. Granular bainite in deposited metals displays better corrosion resistance than acicular ferrite during the initial corrosion stage, but its long-term influence on the corrosion resistance is limited.展开更多

The dispersion state of nanoparticles was observed by TEM images. SEM observation and FT-IR analysis indicate that the nano-coating with 1% ZnO nanoparticles can retain better morphological structure than the nano-coating with 5% ZnO nanoparticles after 500 h accelerated aging. It is known from XPS analysis that the anti-oxidation properties of polyurethane coating are enhanced by 1% ZnO nanoparticles through the nano-network and destroyed by 5% ZnO nanoparticles due to the strong light catalysis. A small change in capacitances of nano-coatings with 1% ZnO nanoparticles before and after accelerated aging indicates that 1% ZnO nanoparticles improve the corrosion resistance of coating, while a large increase in capacitances of nano-coating with 5% ZnO nanoparticles before and after accelerated aging demonstrates that 5% ZnO nanoparticles damage the corrosion resistance of coating.展开更多

The standard sample of the zinc borosilicate glass was placed in the constant temperature and humidity chamber in order to simulate the atmospheric corrosion process. The surface of the weathered glass was analyzed by scanning electron microscope and energy disper- sive spectrometry and the filtrate was analyzed by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. The results showed that humidity was the most important factor influencing weathering; the morphology of glass surface of altered layer and the product on the surface was observed; the corroding degree of the zinc borosilicate glass doped with Nd or Gd was significantly lighter than that of the base glass. Adding rare earth Nd or Gd in the zinc borosilicate glass could suppress Na, Zn, Si ion release in weathering.展开更多

By carefully designing the composition and manufacturing process,qualified weathering-steel products have been successfully produced on the Ningbosteel-Baosteel strip casting industrialization demo project( NBS) production line. The industrialized practice of Baostrip shows the following: The surface microstructure of weathering-steel products is polygonal ferrite +pearlite,and that of the center is acicular ferrite. After single-stand on-line hot rolling at a 26% low pressure rate,the thickness tolerance ratio controlled within ± 25 μm reaches 99. 6%. The surface convexity and the wedge can be controlled to | C40 |< 50 μm and | W40 |< 30 μm,respectively. The mechanical properties of the strip are superior,exhibiting a yield strength range of( 430 ± 50) MPa,a tensile strength range of( 550 ± 50) MPa,and an elongation range of( 27 ± 5)%. The corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of current commercial atmospheric corrosion-resistant steels,with a relative corrosion rate of 43%. When used,the weathering steel produced by the strip-casting process meets the strict quality and usage requirements of container steel sheets.展开更多
