A field micro-plot experiment was carri...A better understanding of nitrogen (N) diffusion and transformation in soils could reveal the capacity of the biological inorganic N and improve the efficiency of N fertilizers. A field micro-plot experiment was carried out to study the effects of fertilization methods (mixed uniformly with 12 cm top soil, placed in holes at a 12-cm depth, or placed in furrows at a 12-cm depth) and forms of N fertilizers (urea and ammonium phosphate) on the dynamics of soil N’s vertical diffusion and horizontal migration in red-yellow soil. The soil inorganic N ( NH4+-N and NH3--N) content following point deep placement was greater than that from mixed or furrow applications. Under point placement, the migration of soil inorganic N in urea and ammonium phosphate treatments occurred in the 6 - 15 cm layer at a horizontal distance of 0 - 9 cm. However, the nutrient preservation capability of the soil receiving ammonium phosphate was greater than that receiving urea under point deep placement. Thus, point deep placement had a tendency to increase the inorganic N in the soil and reduce inorganic N loss, which probably occurred due to the reduced soil volume with which the N fertilizer was mixed. According to crop growth and fertilizer requirements, the optimized fertilizer placement and N species resulted in a continuously high nutrient supply to crops for 90 d. However, the effects of point deep placement on increasing the N-use efficiency and reducing N loss have to be evaluated under natural field conditions.展开更多

A local remapping algorithm for scalar function on quadrilateral meshes is described. The remapper from a distorted grid to a rezoned grid is usually regarded as a conservative interpolation problem. The present paper...A local remapping algorithm for scalar function on quadrilateral meshes is described. The remapper from a distorted grid to a rezoned grid is usually regarded as a conservative interpolation problem. The present paper introduces a pseudo time to transform the interpolation into an initial value problem on a moving grid, and construct a moving mesh method to solve it. The new feature of the algorithm is the introduction of multi- point information on each edge, which leads to the numerical flux consistent with grid node motion. During the procedure of deriving scheme, we illustrate a framework about how the algorithms on a rectangular mesh are easily generated to those on a moving mesh. The basic ideas include: (i) introducing coordinate transformation, which maps the irregular domain in physical space to a perfectly regular computational domain, and (ii) deriving finite volume methods in the physical domain, which can be viewed as a discretization of the transformed equation. The resulting scheme is second-order accurate, conservative and monotonicity preserving. Numerical examples are carried out to show the good performance of ore" schemes.展开更多

It can be widely used in many areas such as image registration, object recognition, motion de-tection, target tracking, autonomous navigation, and pose estimation. This paper discusses the in-complete matching problem of two point sets under Euclidean transformation. According to geometric reasoning, some definitions for matching clique, support point pair, support index set, and support in-dex matrix, etc. are given. Based on the properties and theorems of them, a novel reasoning algo-rithm is presented, which searches for the optimal solution from top to bottom and could find out as many consistent corresponding point pairs as possible. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the new algorithm is very effective, and could be, under some conditions, applied to the PPM problem under other kind of transformations.展开更多
