This work proposes a new strategy to improve the rotor position estimation of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) over wide speed range. Rotor position estimation of a PMSM is performed by using sliding mode observer(SMO). An adaptive observer gain was designed based on Lyapunov function and applied to solve the chattering problem caused by the discontinuous function of the SMO in the wide speed range. The cascade low-pass filter(LPF) with variable cut-off frequency was proposed to reduce the chattering problem and to attenuate the filtering capability of the SMO. In addition, the phase shift caused by the filter was counterbalanced by applying the variable phase delay compensation for the whole speed area. High accuracy estimation result of the rotor position was obtained in the experiment by applying the proposed estimation strategy. 展开更多

In the existing landslide susceptibility prediction(LSP)models,the influences of random errors in landslide conditioning factors on LSP are not considered,instead the original conditioning factors are directly taken as the model inputs,which brings uncertainties to LSP results.This study aims to reveal the influence rules of the different proportional random errors in conditioning factors on the LSP un-certainties,and further explore a method which can effectively reduce the random errors in conditioning factors.The original conditioning factors are firstly used to construct original factors-based LSP models,and then different random errors of 5%,10%,15% and 20%are added to these original factors for con-structing relevant errors-based LSP models.Secondly,low-pass filter-based LSP models are constructed by eliminating the random errors using low-pass filter method.Thirdly,the Ruijin County of China with 370 landslides and 16 conditioning factors are used as study case.Three typical machine learning models,i.e.multilayer perceptron(MLP),support vector machine(SVM)and random forest(RF),are selected as LSP models.Finally,the LSP uncertainties are discussed and results show that:(1)The low-pass filter can effectively reduce the random errors in conditioning factors to decrease the LSP uncertainties.(2)With the proportions of random errors increasing from 5%to 20%,the LSP uncertainty increases continuously.(3)The original factors-based models are feasible for LSP in the absence of more accurate conditioning factors.(4)The influence degrees of two uncertainty issues,machine learning models and different proportions of random errors,on the LSP modeling are large and basically the same.(5)The Shapley values effectively explain the internal mechanism of machine learning model predicting landslide sus-ceptibility.In conclusion,greater proportion of random errors in conditioning factors results in higher LSP uncertainty,and low-pass filter can effectively reduce these random errors. 展开更多

The Lunar Environment heliospheric X-ray Imager(LEXI)and Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)missions will image the Earth’s dayside magneto pause and cusps in soft X-rays after their respective launches in the near future,to specify glo bal magnetic reconnection modes for varying solar wind conditions.To suppo rt the success of these scientific missions,it is critical to develop techniques that extract the magnetopause locations from the observed soft X-ray images.In this research,we introduce a new geometric equation that calculates the subsolar magnetopause position(RS)from a satellite position,the look direction of the instrument,and the angle at which the X-ray emission is maximized.Two assumptions are used in this method:(1)The look direction where soft X-ray emissions are maximized lies tangent to the magnetopause,and(2)the magnetopause surface near the subsolar point is almost spherical and thus RSis nea rly equal to the radius of the magneto pause curvature.We create synthetic soft X-ray images by using the Open Geospace General Circulation Model(OpenGGCM)global magnetohydrodynamic model,the galactic background,the instrument point spread function,and Poisson noise.We then apply the fast Fourier transform and Gaussian low-pass filte rs to the synthetic images to re move noise and obtain accurate look angles for the soft X-ray pea ks.From the filte red images,we calculate RS and its accuracy for different LEXI locations,look directions,and solar wind densities by using the OpenGGCM subsolar magnetopause location as ground truth.Our method estimates RS with an accuracy of<0.3 RE when the solar wind density exceeds>10 cm-3.The accuracy improves for greater solar wind densities and during southward interplanetary magnetic fields.The method ca ptures the magnetopause motion during southwa rd interplaneta ry magnetic field turnings.Consequently,the technique will enable quantitative analysis of the magnetopause motion and help reveal the dayside reconnection modes for dynamic solar wind c 展开更多

The grid-forming virtual synchronous generator(GFVSG)not only employs a first-order low-pass filter for virtual inertia control but also introduces grid-connected active power(GCAP)dynamic oscillation issues,akin to those observed in traditional synchronous generators.In response to this,an improved strategy for lead-lag filter based GFVSG(LLF-GFVSG)is presented in this article.Firstly,the grid-connected circuit structure and control principle of typical GFVSG are described,and a closed-loop small-signal model for GCAP in GFVSG is established.The causes of GCAP dynamic oscillation of GFVSG under the disturbances of active power command as well as grid frequency are analyzed.On this basis,the LLF-GFVSG improvement strategy and its parameter design method are given.Finally,the efficiency of the proposed control strategy in damping GCAP dynamic oscillations under various disturbances is verified using MATLAB simulations and experimental comparison results. 展开更多

为降低传统手工检测的工作强度,提高检测效率与精度,将结构光三维成像技术应用于钢轨检测。由于铁路现场扫描的钢轨点云数据量庞大,且存在大量噪声点与离群点,若不进行精简,对后续点云识别与配准的效率与精度会产生较大影响。为解决上... 为降低传统手工检测的工作强度,提高检测效率与精度,将结构光三维成像技术应用于钢轨检测。由于铁路现场扫描的钢轨点云数据量庞大,且存在大量噪声点与离群点,若不进行精简,对后续点云识别与配准的效率与精度会产生较大影响。为解决上述问题,首先运用最大主成分方向、法线方向和质心对原始点云进行摆正;然后根据空间位置与密度聚类结果除去离群点,根据钢轨廓形信息执行直通滤波,除去轨腰点云中粘连的噪声点;最后将钢轨点云分割为水平平面点云、竖直平面点云以及曲面点云,针对不同位置的点云,基于点距设置不同的体素采样参数进行精简。铁路现场试验表明,该方法可以有效去除钢轨点云中的噪声点与离群点,精简比为80%左右,最大程度保留原始点云的形貌特征与细节信息的同时,点云配准效率提高近4倍,为高效精确的点云处理奠定基础。 展开更多

In this paper,we propose a neoteric and high-efficiency single image dehazing algorithm via contrast enhancement which is called STRASS(Spatio-Temporal Retinex-Inspired by an Averaging of Stochastic Samples)dehazing,it is realized by constructing an efficient high-pass filter to process haze images and taking the influence of human vision system into account in image dehazing principles.The novel high-pass filter works by getting each pixel using RSR and computes the average of the samples.Then the low-pass filter resulting from the minimum envelope in STRESS framework has been replaced by the average of the samples.The final dehazed image is yielded after iterations of the high-pass filter.STRASS can be run directly without any machine learning.Extensive experimental results on datasets prove that STRASS surpass the state-of-the-arts.Image dehazing can be applied in the field of printing and packaging,our method is of great significance for image pre-processing before printing. 展开更多

Conventional sliding-mode observer(SMO)-based grid-voltage observation methods often require a low-pass filter(LPF)to remove high-frequency sliding-mode noise.However,a complicated phase-and amplitude-compensation method,which is highly sensitive to the DC-offset,is required.A frequency-adaptive dual second-order generalized integrator(SOGI)can be used to replace the LPF,eliminating the compensation link and the effects of the DC-offset;however,strong coupling is introduced between the front-end SOGI block and back-end phase-locked loop(PLL)block,thereby reducing the dynamic performance.To solve this problem,this study proposes an SMO-based grid-voltage observation method with a frequency-fixed dual SOGI and cross-compensated PLL that can eliminate the frequency coupling between the front-end SOGI block and back-end PLL blocks,thereby increasing its dynamic performance.In this study,the phase and amplitude are compensated simultaneously using the proposed cross-compensation method,achieving an accurate observation of the grid voltage under off-nominal frequencies.An analysis of the small-signal model theoretically verified that the proposed method has good dynamic performance.Finally,the superiority of the proposed method is verified through comparative experiments. 展开更多

In this paper,a sensorless control strategy of a permanent magnet synchronous machine(PMSM)based on an improved rotor flux observer(IFO)is proposed.Due to the unknown integral initial value and the high harmonics caused by current sampling and inverter nonlinearities,the flux linkage estimated by traditional rotor flux observer may be inaccurate.In order to address these issues,a self-adaptive band-pass filter(SABPF)is designed to eliminate the DC component and high-frequency harmonics of the estimated equivalent rotor flux linkage.Furthermore,in order to avoid that the design of PI parameter is influenced by the amplitude of equivalent rotor flux linkage,an improved phase-locked loop(IPLL)is employed to obtain the rotor speed and to normalize the estimated equivalent rotor flux linkage.In addition,angle shift caused by an SABPF is compensated to improve the accuracy of the estimated flux linkage angle.Besides,the parameter robustness of this method is analyzed in detail.Finally,simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and parameter robustness of the proposed method. 展开更多

High-frequency resonance can occur when a modular multilevel converter(MMC)is inserted into an AC grid.Additional damping control is a relatively low-cost resonance suppression strategy compared to passive damping strategies.This paper analyzes the influences of a feed-forward voltage filter and feedback current filter for the inner controller for the high-frequency impedance characteristics of the MMC based on a model.Moreover,the mechanism,influencing factors,and limitations of the existing strategy including an additional lowpass filter in the voltage feed-forward stage are investigated.Secondly,a resonance suppression strategy for the inclusion of additional cascaded notch filters in the voltage feed-forward stage is proposed,and its parameter design method and applicable scenarios are analyzed.In addition,this paper analyzes the effects of the inclusion of an additional control in other stages for the inner controller of the MMC.Finally,the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the proposed strategy is verified based on the simulation of an actual project on PSCAD/EMTDC. 展开更多
