A novel modified optimization technique known as the multi-objective micro particle swarm optimization(MO-MicPSO) is proposed for polyphase coded signal design.The proposed MO-MicPSO requires only a small population size compared with the standard particle swarm optimization that uses a larger population size.This new method is guided by an elite archive to finish the multi-objective optimization.The orthogonal polyphase coded signal(OPCS) can fundamentally improve the multiple input multiple output(MIMO) radar system performance,with which the radar system has high resolution and abundant signal channels.Simulation results on the polyphase coded signal design show that the MO-MicPSO can perform quite well for this high-dimensional multi-objective optimized problem.Compared with particle swarm optimization or genetic algorithm,the proposed MO-MicPSO has a better optimized efficiency and less time consumption. 展开更多

A hybrid pilots assisted channel estimation algorithm for multiple input multiple output(MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems under low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and arbitrary Doppler spread scenarios is proposed.Motivated by the dissatisfactory performance of the optimal pilots(OPs) designed under static channels over multiple OFDM symbols imposed by fast fading channels,the proposed scheme first assumes that the virtual pilot tones superimposed at data locations over specific subcarriers are transmitted from all antennas,then the virtual received pilot signals at the corresponding locations can be obtained by making full use of the time and frequency domain correlations of the frequency responses of the time varying dispersive fading channels and the received signals at pilot subcarriers,finally the channel parameters are derived from the combination of the real and virtual received pilot signals over one OFDM symbol based on least square(LS) criterion.Simulation results illustrate that the proposed method is insensitive to Doppler spread and can effectively ameliorate the mean square error(MSE) floor inherent to the previous method,meanwhile its performance outmatches that of OPs at low SNR region under static channels. 展开更多

This paper presents a compact Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO)antenna with WLAN band notch for Ultra-Wideband(UWB)applications.The antenna is designed on 0.8mmthick low-cost FR-4 substrate having a compact size of 22mm×30 mm.The proposed antenna comprises of two monopole patches on the top layer of substrate while having a shared ground on its bottom layer.The mutual coupling between adjacent patches has been reduced by using a novel stub with shared ground structure.The stub consists of complementary rectangular slots that disturb the surface current direction and thus result in reducing mutual coupling between two ports.A slot is etched in the radiating patch for WLAN band notch.The slot is used to suppress frequencies ranging from 5.1 to 5.9 GHz.The results show that the proposed antenna has a very good impedance bandwidth of|S11|<−10 dB within the frequency band from 3.1–14 GHz.A low mutual coupling of less than−23 dB is achieved within the entire UWB band.Furthermore,the antenna has a peak gain of 5.8 dB,low ECC<0.002 and high Diversity Gain(DG>9.98). 展开更多

Media based modulation(MBM)is expected to be a prominent modulation scheme,which has access to the high data rate by using radio frequency(RF)mirrors and fewer transmit antennas.Associated with multiuser multiple input multiple output(MIMO),the MBM scheme achieves better performance than other conventional multiuser MIMO schemes.In this paper,the massive MIMO uplink is considered and a conjunctive MBM transmission scheme for each user is employed.This conjunctive MBM transmission scheme gathers aggregate MBM signals in multiple continuous time slots,which exploits the structured sparsity of these aggregate MBM signals.Under this kind of scenario,a multiuser detector with low complexity based on the compressive sensing(CS)theory to gain better detection performance is proposed.This detector is developed from the greedy sparse recovery technique compressive sampling matching pursuit(CoSaMP)and exploits not only the inherently distributed sparsity of MBM signals but also the structured sparsity of multiple aggregate MBM signals.By exploiting these sparsity,the proposed CoSaMP based multiuser detector achieves reliable detection with low complexity.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed CoSaMP based multiuser detector achieves better detection performance compared with the conventional methods. 展开更多

In cloud computing Resource allocation is a very complex task.Handling the customer demand makes the challenges of on-demand resource allocation.Many challenges are faced by conventional methods for resource allocation in order tomeet the Quality of Service(QoS)requirements of users.For solving the about said problems a new method was implemented with the utility of machine learning framework of resource allocation by utilizing the cloud computing technique was taken in to an account in this research work.The accuracy in the machine learning algorithm can be improved by introducing Bat Algorithm with feature selection(BFS)in the proposed work,this further reduces the inappropriate features from the data.The similarities that were hidden can be demoralized by the Support Vector Machine(SVM)classifier which is also determine the subspace vector and then a new feature vector can be predicted by using SVM.For an unexpected circumstance SVM model can make a resource allocation decision.The efficiency of proposed SVM classifier of resource allocation can be highlighted by using a singlecell multiuser massive Multiple-Input Multiple Output(MIMO)system,with beam allocation problem as an example.The proposed resource allocation based on SVM performs efficiently than the existing conventional methods;this has been proven by analysing its results. 展开更多

A four-element compact dual-band patch antenna having a common ground plane operating at 28/38 GHz is proposed formillimeter-wave communication systems in this paper.Themultiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO)antenna geometry consists of a slotted ellipse enclosed within a hollow circle which is orthogonally rotated with a connected partial ground at the back.The overall size of the four elements MIMO antenna is 2.24λ×2.24λ(at 27.12GHz).The prototype of four-element MIMOresonator is designed and printed using Rogers RTDuroid 5880 withε_(r)=2.2 and loss tangent=0.0009 and having a thickness of 0.8 mm.It covers dual-band having a fractional bandwidth of 15.7%(27.12-31.34 GHz)and 4.2%(37.21-38.81 GHz)for millimeter-wave applications with a gain of more than 4 dBi at both bands.The proposed antenna analysis in terms ofMIMOdiversity parameters(Envelope Correlation Coefficient(ECC)and Diversity Gain(DG))is also carried out.The experimental result in terms of reflection coefficient,radiation pattern,gain and MIMOdiversity parameter correlates very well with the simulated ones that show the potential of the proposed design for MIMO applications at millimeter-wave frequencies. 展开更多

Combining reaching law approach and fuzzy universal approximation theorem, the proposed design procedure combines the advantages of fuzzy logic control, adaptive control and sliding mode control. The stability of the control systems is proved in the sense of the Lyapunov second stability theorem. A novel compact Swastika shaped patch antenna is designed in the present work,which can be used for Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO) systems.The proposed two element MIMO system resonates at a triband of 3.3 GHz,5.8 GHz,and 7.1 GHz with an improved impedance bandwidth of 37% and a reduced mutual coupling of-33 dB.These results are better compared to a normal E shaped patch antenna designed with same size and thickness,achieved without using any additional decoupling methods.A 2×2 MIMO system employing the Swastika shaped patch antennas is analyzed using computational electromagnetic ray tracing software for an indoor environment.The results show an improvement in the capacity compared to a 2×2 MIMO system developed with dipole antennas.The proposed antenna is a good choice for MIMO systems operating for several Ultra WideBand(UWB) applications. 展开更多

In order to decrease the interference during transmission,a new interference alignment( IA) algorithm based on cognitive MIMO networks is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is realized by designing two-level pre-coding, the first-level precoding aligns the interference generated by the cognitive users( CUs) to unused sub-channels of the primary user( PU),thereby eliminating the interference of CUs to PU; the second-level precoding is used to improve the throughput of CUs. Simulation shows that the proposed IA algorithm can eliminate the interference that the CUs produce on the PU and improve the throughput of CUs spontaneously. 展开更多

In this paper,an indoor layout sensing and localization system with testbed in the 60-GHz millimeter wave(mmWave)band,named mmReality,is elaborated.The mmReality system consists of one transmitter and one mobile receiver,both with a phased array and a single radio frequency(RF)chain.To reconstruct the room layout,the pilot signal is delivered from the transmitter to the receiver via different pairs of transmission and receiving beams,so that multipath signals in all directions can be captured.Then spatial smoothing and the two-dimensional multiple signal classification(MUSIC)algorithm are applied to detect the angle-of-departures(AoDs)and angle-of-arrivals(AoAs)of propagation paths.Moreover,the technique of multi-carrier ranging is adopted to measure the path lengths.Therefore,with the measurements of the receiver in different locations of the room,the receiver and virtual transmitters can be pinpointed to reconstruct the room layout.Experiments show that the reconstructed room layout can be utilized to localize a mobile device via the AoA spectrum. 展开更多

For the issue of deterioration in detection performance caused by dynamically changing environment in ultra-wideband(UWB) multiple input multiple output(MIMO) radar, this paper proposes a novel adaptive waveform design which is aimed to improve the ability of discriminating target and clutter from the radar scene. Firstly, a sequence of Morlet wavelet pulses with frequency hopping and pulse position modulation by Welch-Costas array is designed. Then a waveform optimization solution is proposed which is achieved by applying the minimization mutual-information(MI) strategy. After that, with subsequent iterations of the algorithm, simulation results demonstrate that the optimal waveform design method brings an improvement in the target detection ability in the presence of noise and clutter. 展开更多

The problem of the simultaneous multi-user resource allocation algorithm in orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA)based systems has recently attracted significant interest.However,most studies focus on maximizing the system throughput and spectral efficiency.As the green radio is essential in 5G and future networks,the energy efficiency becomes the major concern.In this paper,we develop four resource allocation schemes in the downlink OFDMA network and the main focus is on analyzing the energy efficiency of these schemes.Specifically,we employ the advanced multi-antenna technology in a multiple input-multiple output(MIMO)system.The first scheme is based on transmit spatial diversity(TSD),in which the vector channel with the highest gain between the base station(BTS)and specific antenna at the remote terminal(RT)is chosen for transmission.The second scheme further employs spatial multiplexing on the MIMO system to enhance the throughput.The space-division multiple-access(SDMA)scheme assigns single subcarrier simultaneously to RTs with pairwise“nearly orthogonal”spatial signatures.In the fourth scheme,we propose to design the transmit beamformers based on the zero-forcing(ZF)criterion such that the multi-user interference(MUI)is completely removed.We analyze the tradeoff between the throughput and power consumption and compare the performance of these schemes in terms of the energy efficiency. 展开更多

Pilot contamination can spoil the accuracy of channel estimation and then has become one of the key problems influencing the performance of massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO)systems.This paper proposes a method based on cell classification and users grouping to mitigate the pilot contamination in multi-cell massive MIMO systems and improve the spectral efficiency.The pilots of the terminals are allocated onebit orthogonal identifier to diminish the cell categories by the operation of exclusive OR(XOR).At the same time,the users are divided into edge user groups and central user groups according to the large-scale fading coefficients by the clustering algorithm,and different pilot sequences are assigned to different groups.The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the spectral efficiency of multi-cell massive MIMO systems. 展开更多

为了充分利用多入多出(multiple input multipleoutput,MIMO)雷达的空间分集技术,同时使其便于设计和实现,论文基于目标的分布源模型,在Neyman-Pearson准则下研究当MIMO雷达分集路径不完全独立时的检测方法和性能,并且利用主分量分析的... 为了充分利用多入多出(multiple input multipleoutput,MIMO)雷达的空间分集技术,同时使其便于设计和实现,论文基于目标的分布源模型,在Neyman-Pearson准则下研究当MIMO雷达分集路径不完全独立时的检测方法和性能,并且利用主分量分析的思想简化了检测方法。该方法通过特征值分解,从M个正交信号中提取出独立观测分量并将其加权合并。仿真结果表明:与传统雷达相比,只要存在2个以上的独立观测分量,MIMO雷达可以更有效地对抗目标RCS(radar cross section)闪烁。同时,当发射阵元间距减小为理想条件的1/4时,MIMO雷达仍然可以利用空间分集提高其检测性能。 展开更多
