We consider GROUP CONTROL BY ADDING INDIVIDUALS(GCAI)in the setting of group identification for two procedural rules-the consensus-start-respecting rule and the liberal-start-respecting rule.It is known that GCAI for ...We consider GROUP CONTROL BY ADDING INDIVIDUALS(GCAI)in the setting of group identification for two procedural rules-the consensus-start-respecting rule and the liberal-start-respecting rule.It is known that GCAI for both rules are NP-hard,but whether they are fixed-parameter tractable with respect to the number of distinguished individuals remained open.We resolve both open problems in the affirmative.In addition,we strengthen the NP-hardness of GCAI by showing that,with respect to the natural parameter the number of added individuals,GCAI for both rules are W[2]-hard.Notably,the W[2]-hardness for the liberal-startrespecting rule holds even when restricted to a very special case where the qualifications of individuals satisfy the so-called consecutive ones property.However,for the consensus-startrespecting rule,the problem becomes polynomial-time solvable in this special case.We also study a dual restriction where the disqualifications of individuals fulfill the consecutive ones property,and show that under this restriction GCAI for both rules turn out to be polynomial-time solvable.Our reductions for showing W[2]-hardness also imply several algorithmic lowerbounds.展开更多

Comparison ...Using the method of intracellular injection of horseradish peroxidase, the arborizations of several neurones with different functions in the segmental ganglia of the leech Whitmania pigra are investigated. Comparison is made in each kind of neurones in order to verify their typical pattern. Results show that the morphology of the axonal arbors of identified neurones has an accurate similarity within and among the individuals of the leech, and the axonal arborizations of the bilaterally identified neurones in the same ganglion have a stable symmetry. The possible reasons of the formation and its functional significance of the symmetrical nervous system are discussed.展开更多

Under the background of growth driving force conversion,this paper examines the source of growth in the producer services sector in China with the stochastic frontier analysis(SFA)model,using provincial service sector...Under the background of growth driving force conversion,this paper examines the source of growth in the producer services sector in China with the stochastic frontier analysis(SFA)model,using provincial service sector data during 2005-2016.Research fi ndings show that(1)the total factor productivity(TFP)of producer services in China is characterized by multi-stage changes,with technological progress being the primary driving force and industrial growth being“technology-led”.(2)Innovation,represented by increased TFP,is the leading driving force of producer services’growth and the overall structure of driving forces is reasonable;(3)the driven structure of niche industries varies greatly,and the conversion of driving forces must take into account industry characteristics;(4)as developed regions are more capable of coping with external impacts and policy stimuli,innovation is the main driving force for them,while for other regions,where innovation as a driving force is weak and old driving forces has led to extensive growth,their structure way evolve to an irrational state.It is necessary to seize opportunities to promote innovation-driven model and take producer services sector as the main battlefield for the cultivation of new driving forces,giving full consideration to the heterogeneity of different industries and regions.展开更多
