The flow was simulated by solving the full Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the RNG κ-ε turbulence model. In the horizontal x-y-plane, a boundary-fitted curvilinear co-ordinate system was adopted, while in the vertical direction, a σ co-ordinate transformation was used to represent the free surface and bed topography. The water level was determined by solving the 2-D Poisson equation derived from 2-D depth averaged momentum equations. The finite-volume method was used to discretize the equations and the SIMPLEC algorithm was applied to acquire the coupling of velocity and pressure. This model was applied to simulate the meandering channels and natural rivers, and the water levels and the velocities for all sections were given. By contrasting and analyzing, the agreement with measurements is generally good. The feasibility studies of simulating flow of the natural fiver have been conducted to demonstrate its applicability to hydraulic engineering research.展开更多

The coded bits from each data stream will be directly mapped as multi-dimensional SCMA codeword in complex domain and then spread onto the physical resource elements in a sparse manner. The number of codewords that can be nonorthogonally multiplexed in one SCMA block can be made much larger than the number of orthogonal resource elements therein, resulting in an overloaded system. The sparsity in the spreading pattern and the design in the multidimensional modulator jointly ensure the SCMA codewords can be robustly decoded with low complexity. In this paper, we focus on the low complexity receiver design and verified the superior of an SCMA system via simulations and real-time prototyping. Lab tests and field tests all show that SCMA is a promising candidate for 5G non-orthogonal multiple access which can provide up to 300% overloading that triples the whole system throughput while still enjoying the link performance close to orthogonal transmissions.展开更多

Although the hydrostatic models are quite accurate and cost-efficient for many practical applications, there are situations when the fully hydrodynamic models are preferred despite a larger cost for computations. The present numerical model is implemented by the finite volume method (FVM) based on unstructured grids. The model can be efficiently switched between hydrostatic and non-hydrostatic modules. The case study shows that for waves pro- pagating along the bar a criterion with respect to the shallowness alone, the ratio between the depth and the wave length, is insufficient to warrant the performance of shallow flow equations with a hydrostatic approach and the nonlinearity in wave dynamics can be better accounted with a hydrodynamic approach. Besides the prediction of the flows over complex bathymetries, for instance, over asymmetrical dunes, by a hydrodynamic approach is shown to be superior in accuracy to the hydrostatic simulation.展开更多

A novel achievable closed-form spectral efficiency(SE) expression is derived, which characterizes the effects of the channel estimation error, pilot contamination, imperfect successive interference cancellation(SIC) operation, and power optimization technique. Then, motivated by the closedform result, a sum-SE maximization algorithm with the sequential convex approximation(SCA) is proposed, subject to each AP power constraint and SIC power constraint. Numerical experiments indicate that the proposed sum-SE maximization algorithms have a fast converge rate, within about five iterations. In addition, compared with the full power control(FPC) scheme, our algorithms can significantly improve the achievable sum-SE. Moreover, NOMA outperforms OMA in many respects in the presence of the proposed algorithms.展开更多

文摘In this paper,an energy harvesting enabled cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)system for a multi-cell network is investigated.Particularly, during the direct transmission phase, base stations send their superposed messages to the near users and far users simultaneously according to a NOMA principle, while the near users act as energy harvesting enabled relays employing a power splitting protocol.During the cooperative phase, the near users transmit their decoded messages to the corresponding far users using harvested energy.Using tools from stochastic geometry,we firstly calculate the signal to interference ratios of the users in each NOMA group including one near user and one far user. Then, the closed-form expressions of the coverage probability, ergodic rate, and energy efficiency are derived respectively.Numerical results validate the derived expressions and show that the energy harvesting enabled cooperative NOMA system in a multi-cell network can improve the coverage probability, ergodic rate, and energy efficiency compared to its counterpart OMA system.
文摘A novel scheme‘user assisted cooperative relaying in beamspace massive multiple input multiple output(M-MIMO)non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)system’has been proposed to improve coverage area, spectrum and energy efficiency for millimeter wave(mmWave)communications.A downlink system for M users, where base station(BS)is equipped with beamforming lens antenna structure having NRF radio frequency(RF)chains, has been considered.A dynamic cluster of users is formed within a beam and the intermediate users(in that cluster)between beam source and destination(user)act as relaying stations.By the use of successive interference cancellation(SIC)technique of NOMA within a cluster, the relaying stations relay the symbols with improved power to the destination. For maximizing achievable sum rate, transmit precoding and dynamic power allocation for both intra and inter beam power optimization are implemented.Simulations for performance evaluation are carried out to validate that the proposed system outperforms the conventional beamspace M-MIMO NOMA system for mmWave communications in terms of spectrum and energy efficiency.
