A fundamental aspect of society is the exchange and discussion of opinions between individuals, occurring in situations as varied as company boardrooms, elementary school classrooms and online social media. After a very brief introduction to the established results of the most fundamental opinion dynamics models, which seek to mathematically capture observed social phenomena, a brief discussion follows on several recent themes pursued by the authors building on the fundamental ideas. In the first theme, we study the way an individual′s self-confidence can develop through contributing to discussions on a sequence of topics, reaching a consensus in each case,where the consensus value to some degree reflects the contribution of that individual to the conclusion. During this process, the individuals in the network and the way they interact can change. The second theme introduces a novel discrete-time model of opinion dynamics to study how discrepancies between an individual′s expressed and private opinions can arise due to stubbornness and a pressure to conform to a social norm. It is also shown that a few extremists can create "pluralistic ignorance", where people believe there is majority support for a position but in fact the position is privately rejected by the majority. Last, we consider a group of individuals discussing a collection of logically related topics. In particular, we identify that for topics whose logical interdependencies take on a cascade structure,disagreement in opinions can occur if individuals have competing and/or heterogeneous views on how the topics are related, i.e., the logical interdependence structure varies between individuals. 展开更多

In this paper, the data-based control problem is investigated for a class of networked nonlinear systems with measurement noise as well as packet dropouts in the feedback and forward channels. The measurement noise and the number of consecutive packet dropouts in both channels are assumed to be random but bounded. A data-based networked predictive control method is proposed, in which a sequence of control increment predictions are calculated in the controller based on the measured output error, and based on the control increment predictions received by the actuator, a proper control action is obtained and applied to the plant according to the real-time number of consecutive packet dropouts at each sampling instant. Then the stability analysis is performed for the networked closedloop system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a numerical example. 展开更多

The efficient utilization of computation and communication resources became a critical design issue in a wide range of networked systems due to the finite computation and processing capabilities of system components(e.g., sensor, controller) and shared network bandwidth. Event-triggered mechanisms(ETMs) are regarded as a major paradigm shift in resource-constrained applications compared to the classical time-triggered mechanisms, which allows a trade-off to be achieved between desired control/estimation performance and improved resource efficiency. In recent years, dynamic event-triggered mechanisms(DETMs) are emerging as a promising enabler to fulfill more resource-efficient and flexible design requirements. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the latest developments in dynamic event-triggered control and estimation for networked systems. Firstly, a unified event-triggered control and estimation framework is established, which empowers several fundamental issues associated with the construction and implementation of the desired ETM and controller/estimator to be systematically investigated. Secondly, the motivations of DETMs and their main features and benefits are outlined. Then, two typical classes of DETMs based on auxiliary dynamic variables(ADVs) and dynamic threshold parameters(DTPs) are elaborated. In addition, the main techniques of constructing ADVs and DTPs are classified, and their corresponding analysis and design methods are discussed. Furthermore, three application examples are provided to evaluate different ETMs and verify how and under what conditions DETMs are superior to their static and periodic counterparts. Finally, several challenging issues are envisioned to direct the future research. 展开更多

In the first part, modeling of the different types of imperfections that affect NCS is discussed. These imperfections are quantization errors, packet dropouts, variable sampling/transmission intervals, vari- able transmission delays, and communication constraints. Then follows in the second part a presentation of several theories that have been applied for controlling networked systems. These theories include: input delay system approach, Markovian system approach, switched system approach, stochastic system approach, impulsive system approach, and predictive control approach. In the last part, some advanced issues in NCS including decentral- ized and distributed NCS, cloud control system, and co-design of NCS are reviewed. The H_∞ performance analysis and controller design for linear networked control systems(NCSs) are presented.The NCSs are considered a linear continuous system with time-varying interval input delay by assuming that the sensor is time-driven and the logic Zero-order-holder(ZOH) and controller are event-driven.Based on this model,the delay interval is divided into two equal subintervals for H_∞ performance analysis.An improved H_∞ stabilization condition is obtained in linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) framework by adequately considering the information about the bounds of the input delay to construct novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals(LKFs).For the purpose of reducing the conservatism of the proposed results,the bounds of the LKFs differential cross terms are properly estimated without introducing any slack matrix variables.Moreover,the H_∞ controller is reasonably designed to guarantee the robust asymptotic stability for the linear NCSs with an H_∞ performance level γ.Numerical simulation examples are included to validate the reduced conservatism and effectiveness of our proposed method. 展开更多

针对具有周期拒绝服务(DoS)攻击的网络化系统,设计一种基于观测器的具有动态事件触发策略的控制器.首先,通过DoS攻击对网络化系统的影响建立了DoS攻击模型,采用切换系统的方法,将具有DoS攻击的网络化系统分为DoS攻击活跃子系统和DoS攻... 针对具有周期拒绝服务(DoS)攻击的网络化系统,设计一种基于观测器的具有动态事件触发策略的控制器.首先,通过DoS攻击对网络化系统的影响建立了DoS攻击模型,采用切换系统的方法,将具有DoS攻击的网络化系统分为DoS攻击活跃子系统和DoS攻击休眠子系统.对不可测的系统状态设计状态观测器,通过在静态事件触发中引入一个内部动态参数,设计了动态事件触发机制.利用动态事件触发序列设计基于观测器状态的控制器,同时,为保证系统在DoS攻击活跃期间子系统的稳定性,将当前最后一次成功触发状态作为DoS攻击活跃的控制信号,通过引入两个辅助函数得到闭环增广系统.其次,依据Lyapunov稳定性理论、Jensen’s不等式和Schur补引理,得到两个切换子系统稳定充分条件,在此基础上引入DoS攻击限制得到具有LMI形式的切换系统渐近稳定的充分条件,同时给出了状态观测器、控制器和动态事件触发协同设计的参数.最后,通过一个数值例子验证所提方法的有效性. 展开更多

This paper utilizes a switched systems approach to deal with the problem of fault detectio for uncertain delta operator networked control system with packet dropouts and timevarying delays.Uncertainties exist in the matrices of the systems and are norm-bounded time-varying.Two parts of packet dropouts are considered in this paper:From sensors to controllers,and from controllers to actuators.Two independent Bernoulli distributed white sequences are introduced to account for packet dropouts.Then an FD filter is designed under an arbitrary switching law.Furthermore,the sufficient conditions for the NCSs under consideration that are exponentially stable in the mean-square sense and satisfy H∞performance are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalitie,multiple Lyapunov function and average dwell-tim approach.The explicit expression of the desired filter parameters is given.Finally,a numerical example verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Multi-agent reinforcement learning(MARL) has long been a significant research topic in both machine learning and control systems. Recent development of(single-agent) deep reinforcement learning has created a resurgence of interest in developing new MARL algorithms, especially those founded on theoretical analysis. In this paper, we review recent advances on a sub-area of this topic: decentralized MARL with networked agents.In this scenario, multiple agents perform sequential decision-making in a common environment, and without the coordination of any central controller, while being allowed to exchange information with their neighbors over a communication network. Such a setting finds broad applications in the control and operation of robots, unmanned vehicles, mobile sensor networks, and the smart grid. This review covers several of our research endeavors in this direction, as well as progress made by other researchers along the line. We hope that this review promotes additional research efforts in this exciting yet challenging area. 展开更多

This paper proposes a novel event-driven encrypted control framework for linear networked control systems(NCSs),which relies on two modified uniform quantization policies,the Paillier cryptosystem,and an event-triggered strategy.Due to the fact that only integers can work in the Pailler cryptosystem,both the real-valued control gain and system state need to be first quantized before encryption.This is dramatically different from the existing quantized control methods,where only the quantization of a single value,e.g.,the control input or the system state,is considered.To handle this issue,static and dynamic quantization policies are presented,which achieve the desired integer conversions and guarantee asymptotic convergence of the quantized system state to the equilibrium.Then,the quantized system state is encrypted and sent to the controller when the triggering condition,specified by a state-based event-triggered strategy,is satisfied.By doing so,not only the security and confidentiality of data transmitted over the communication network are protected,but also the ciphertext expansion phenomenon can be relieved.Additionally,by tactfully designing the quantization sensitivities and triggering error,the proposed event-driven encrypted control framework ensures the asymptotic stability of the overall closedloop system.Finally,a simulation example of the secure motion control for an inverted pendulum cart system is presented to evaluate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. 展开更多

With the rapid development of network technology and control technology,a networked multi-agent control system is a key direction of modern industrial control systems,such as industrial Internet systems.This paper studies the tracking control problem of networked multi-agent systems with communication constraints,where each agent has no information on the dynamics of other agents except their outputs.A networked predictive proportional integral derivative(PPID)tracking scheme is proposed to achieve the desired tracking performance,compensate actively for communication delays,and simplify implementation in a distributed manner.This scheme combines the past,present and predictive information of neighbour agents to form a tracking error signal for each agent,and applies the proportional,integral,and derivative of the agent tracking error signal to control each individual agent.The criteria of the stability and output tracking consensus of multi-agent systems with the networked PPID tracking scheme are derived through detailed analysis on the closed-loop systems.The effectiveness of the networked PPID tracking scheme is illustrated via an example. 展开更多

时钟同步问题是网络化系统领域的一个经典课题.实时工业以太网和无线传感器网络是现代信息化工业中两类具有重要应用价值的网络系统,前者较多采用IEEE 1588时钟同步方案,而后者由于资源有限、链路不可靠、网络拓扑动态变化等因素,多采... 时钟同步问题是网络化系统领域的一个经典课题.实时工业以太网和无线传感器网络是现代信息化工业中两类具有重要应用价值的网络系统,前者较多采用IEEE 1588时钟同步方案,而后者由于资源有限、链路不可靠、网络拓扑动态变化等因素,多采用分布式同步算法.近年来,随着多自主体分布式一致性问题的研究形成较为成熟的理论体系,逐渐有从事趋同控制理论研究的学者将目光转移到分布式时钟同步应用领域,并已在算法收敛性等方面取得关键进展.基于一致性理论的分布式时钟同步协议因其鲁棒性、可扩展性和实现简单等特点而具有良好的发展前景,但也仍然存在很多有待深入研究的富有挑战的科学问题.本文较详细地介绍了国内外层级式、分布式时钟同步算法的最新研究动向,重点梳理了近五年基于一致性控制思想的分布式时钟同步算法的研究成果,并探讨了未来值得深入研究的方向,旨在为相关科研人员提供有价值的学术参考. 展开更多
