Digital fabrication techniques,in recent decades,have provided the basis of a sustainable revolution in the construction industry.However,selecting the digital fabrication method in terms of manufacturability and func...Digital fabrication techniques,in recent decades,have provided the basis of a sustainable revolution in the construction industry.However,selecting the digital fabrication method in terms of manufacturability and functionality requirements is a complex problem.This paper presents alternatives and criteria for selection of digital fabrication techniques by adopting the multi-criteria decision-making technique.The alternatives considered in the study are concrete three-dimensional(3D)printing,shotcrete,smart dynamic casting,material intrusion,mesh molding,injection concrete 3D printing,and thin forming techniques.The criteria include formwork utilization,reinforcement incorporation,geometrical complexity,material enhancement,assembly complexity,surface finish,and build area.It demonstrates different multi-criteria decision-making techniques,with both subjective and objective weighting methods.The given ranking is based on the current condition of digital fabrication in the construction industry.The study reveals that in the selection of digital fabrication techniques,the criteria including reinforcement incorporation,build area,and geometrical complexity play a pivotal role,collectively accounting for nearly 70% of the overall weighting.Among the evaluated techniques,concrete 3D printing emerged as the best performer,however the shotcrete and mesh molding techniques in the second and third positions.展开更多
The depletion in non-renewable energy sources and a fast-growing population in Bangladesh are exacerbating the already existing energy scarcity,highlighting the need for an efficient and robust renewable-energy supply...The depletion in non-renewable energy sources and a fast-growing population in Bangladesh are exacerbating the already existing energy scarcity,highlighting the need for an efficient and robust renewable-energy supply chain.The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the most optimized renewable-energy supply chain based on natural resource availability and government policies of Bangladesh.In the present study,four renewable energy resources,including solar,biomass,wind and hydropower,are studied and nine subcriteria are defined under four primary criteria for each supply chain.Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)and VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(VIKOR)are multicriteria decision-making approaches used in this study to compare and choose the best renewable-energy supply chain.The relative significance of four supply-chain criteria for primary renewable energy in this study,namely energy procurement,production,operations and maintenance costs,and social and environmental impact,is gathered via a survey.The results of this research,supported by a comprehensive sensitivity analysis,indicate that hydropower is the best renewable-energy supply chain,followed by wind as a compromise solution,biomass and solar.The study also demonstrates that no energy source can satisfy all supply-chain criteria alone;each resource is better for a specific criterion-solar is better for procurement,hydropower is significant for production and wind is remarkable for operations and social impact.Therefore,to maximize output,renewable energy sources must be integrated.From Bangladesh’s perspective,for the first time,by using TOPSIS and VIKOR together,this study offers significant insights to establish an efficient and sustainable renewable-energy supply chain for practitioners,academics and policymakers.展开更多
The multi-energy complementary ecosystem is an important form of the modern energy system.However,standardized evaluation criteria and the corresponding method framework have not yet been formed,resulting in unclear s...The multi-energy complementary ecosystem is an important form of the modern energy system.However,standardized evaluation criteria and the corresponding method framework have not yet been formed,resulting in unclear standards and irregular processes of its construction.To cope with this issue,a novel comprehensive evaluation framework for multi-energy complementary ecosystems is proposed in this study.First,a 5D comprehensive evaluation criteria system,including environment,economy,technology,safety and systematicness,is constructed.Then,a novel multicriteria decision-making model integrating an analytic network process,entropy and preference-ranking organization method for enrichment evaluation under an intuitional fuzzy environment is proposed.Finally,four practical cases are used for model testing and empirical analysis.The results of the research show that the unit cost of the energy supply and the internal rate of return indexes have the highest weights of 0.142 and 0.010,respectively.It means that they are the focus in the construction of a multi-energy complementary ecosystem.The net flows of four cases are 0.015,0.123,-0.132 and-0.005,indicating that cases with a variety of energy supply forms and using intelligent management and control platforms to achieve cold,heat and electrical coupling have more advantages.展开更多
In this paper,GIS-based ordered weighted averaging(OWA)is applied to landslide susceptibility mapping(LSM)for the Urmia Lake Basin in northwest Iran.Nine landslide causal factors were used,whereby the respective param...In this paper,GIS-based ordered weighted averaging(OWA)is applied to landslide susceptibility mapping(LSM)for the Urmia Lake Basin in northwest Iran.Nine landslide causal factors were used,whereby the respective parameters were extracted from an associated spatial database.These factors were evaluated,and then the respective factor weight and class weight were assigned to each of the associated factors using analytic hierarchy process(AHP).A landslide suscept-ibility map was produced based on OWA multicriteria decision analysis.In order to validate the result,the outcome of the OWA method was qualitatively evaluated based on an existing inventory of known landslides.Correspondingly,an uncertainty analysis was carried out using the Dempster-Shafer theory.Based on the results,very strong support was determined for the high susceptibility category of the landslide susceptibility map,while strong support was received for the areas with moderate susceptibility.In this paper,we discuss in which respect these results are useful for an improved understanding of the effectiveness of OWA in LSM,and how the landslide prediction map can be used for spatial planning tasks and for the mitigation of future hazards in the study area.展开更多

Identifying essential proteins from protein-protein interaction networks is important for studies onbiological evolution and new drug’s development.Most of the presented criteria for prioritizing essential proteinson...Identifying essential proteins from protein-protein interaction networks is important for studies onbiological evolution and new drug’s development.Most of the presented criteria for prioritizing essential proteinsonly focus on a certain attribute of the proteins in the network,which suffer from information loss.In order toovercome this problem,a relatively comprehensive and effective novel method for essential proteins identificationbased on improved multicriteria decision making(MCDM),called essential proteins identification-technique fororder preference by similarity to ideal solution(EPI-TOPSIS),is proposed.First,considering different attributes ofproteins,we propose three methods from different aspects to evaluate the significance of the proteins:gene-degreecentrality(GDC)for gene expression sequence;subcellular-neighbor-degree centrality(SNDC)and subcellular-indegree centrality(SIDC)for subcellular location information and protein complexes.Then,betweenness centrality(BC)and these three methods are considered together as the multiple criteria of the decision-making model.Analytic hierarchy process is used to evaluate the weights of each criterion,and the essential proteins are prioritizedby an ideal solution of MCDM,i.e.,TOPSIS.Experiments are conducted on YDIP,YMIPS,Krogan and BioGRIDnetworks.The results indicate that EPI-TOPSIS outperforms several state-of-the-art approaches for identifyingthe essential proteins through the performance measures.展开更多
Efficient decision-making remains an open challenge in the research community,and many researchers are working to improve accuracy through the use of various computational techniques.In this case,the fuzzification and...Efficient decision-making remains an open challenge in the research community,and many researchers are working to improve accuracy through the use of various computational techniques.In this case,the fuzzification and defuzzification processes can be very useful.Defuzzification is an effective process to get a single number from the output of a fuzzy set.Considering defuzzification as a center point of this research paper,to analyze and understand the effect of different types of vehicles according to their performance.In this paper,the multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)process under uncertainty and defuzzification is discussed by using the center of the area(COA)or centroidmethod.Further,to find the best solution,Hurwicz criteria are used on the defuzzified data.Anewdecision-making technique is proposed using Hurwicz criteria for triangular and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers.The proposed technique considers all types of decision makers’perspectives such as optimistic,neutral,and pessimistic which is crucial in solving decisionmaking problems.A simple case study is used to demonstrate and discuss the Centroid Method and Hurwicz Criteria for measuring risk attitudes among decision-makers.The significance of the proposed defuzzification method is demonstrated by comparing it to previous defuzzification procedures with its application.展开更多

文摘Identifying essential proteins from protein-protein interaction networks is important for studies onbiological evolution and new drug’s development.Most of the presented criteria for prioritizing essential proteinsonly focus on a certain attribute of the proteins in the network,which suffer from information loss.In order toovercome this problem,a relatively comprehensive and effective novel method for essential proteins identificationbased on improved multicriteria decision making(MCDM),called essential proteins identification-technique fororder preference by similarity to ideal solution(EPI-TOPSIS),is proposed.First,considering different attributes ofproteins,we propose three methods from different aspects to evaluate the significance of the proteins:gene-degreecentrality(GDC)for gene expression sequence;subcellular-neighbor-degree centrality(SNDC)and subcellular-indegree centrality(SIDC)for subcellular location information and protein complexes.Then,betweenness centrality(BC)and these three methods are considered together as the multiple criteria of the decision-making model.Analytic hierarchy process is used to evaluate the weights of each criterion,and the essential proteins are prioritizedby an ideal solution of MCDM,i.e.,TOPSIS.Experiments are conducted on YDIP,YMIPS,Krogan and BioGRIDnetworks.The results indicate that EPI-TOPSIS outperforms several state-of-the-art approaches for identifyingthe essential proteins through the performance measures.

文摘Efficient decision-making remains an open challenge in the research community,and many researchers are working to improve accuracy through the use of various computational techniques.In this case,the fuzzification and defuzzification processes can be very useful.Defuzzification is an effective process to get a single number from the output of a fuzzy set.Considering defuzzification as a center point of this research paper,to analyze and understand the effect of different types of vehicles according to their performance.In this paper,the multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)process under uncertainty and defuzzification is discussed by using the center of the area(COA)or centroidmethod.Further,to find the best solution,Hurwicz criteria are used on the defuzzified data.Anewdecision-making technique is proposed using Hurwicz criteria for triangular and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers.The proposed technique considers all types of decision makers’perspectives such as optimistic,neutral,and pessimistic which is crucial in solving decisionmaking problems.A simple case study is used to demonstrate and discuss the Centroid Method and Hurwicz Criteria for measuring risk attitudes among decision-makers.The significance of the proposed defuzzification method is demonstrated by comparing it to previous defuzzification procedures with its application.
