Compou...A new Cd(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, namely, [Cd(1,3-bip)(3,5-pdc)]n (1,3-bip = 1,3-bis(imidazol)propane and 3,5-pdc = pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid) has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Compound 1 was characterized by infrared spectrum, elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 1.40178(7), b = 1.72502(12), c = 1.41635(6) ran, β = 92.653(4)°, V = 3.4212(3) nm3, Z = 4, C16HIsCdNsO4, Mr = 453.73, Dc = 1.762 g/cm3, F(000) = 1808,μ = 1.310 mm1, R = 0.0899 and wR = 0.1945. In compound 1, each 3,5-pdc ligand links three Cd(lI) ions and each Cd(Ⅱ) attaches to bip ligands to form a complicated 2D double-layer structure. In addition, the thermal stability and luminescent property of 1 have been studied in the solid state at room temperature.展开更多

The compound crystallizes in orthorhombic system, space group Pbcn with a=1.362 9(3) nm, b=2.215 6(4) nm, c= 2.571 2(4) nm, V=7.764(2) nm 3, Z=4, R=0.040 3, wR 2=0.044 6. The compound exhibits an unusual empty ellipsoidal cage, which is constructed by eight {V ⅤO 4} tetrahedra and two {V ⅣO 5} square pyramids via corner-sharing modes. Charge and spin orders are intimately related to superconductivity in copper oxide superconductors.Elucidation of the competing orders in various nickel oxide compounds is crucial,given the fact that superconductivity...Charge and spin orders are intimately related to superconductivity in copper oxide superconductors.Elucidation of the competing orders in various nickel oxide compounds is crucial,given the fact that superconductivity has been discovered in Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2)films.Herein,we report structural,electronic transport,magnetic,and thermodynamic characterizations of single crystals of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6).La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)is metallic with mixed Ni^(2+)and Ni^(3+)valent states.Resistivity measurements yield two transition-like kinks at~110 and 153 K.The kink at 153 K is further revealed from magnetization and specific heat measurements,indicative of the formation of charge and spin density waves.La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)single crystals obtained from the topochemical reduction of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)are insulating and show an anomaly at~176 K on magnetic susceptibility.The transition-like behaviors of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)are analogous to those observed in La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(10) and La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(8),suggesting that charge and spin density waves are a common feature in the ternary La-Ni-O system with mixed-valent states of nickel.展开更多
