This paper is concerned with the set-membership filtering problem for a class of linear time-varying systems with norm-bounded noises and impulsive measurement outliers.A new representation is proposed to model the me...This paper is concerned with the set-membership filtering problem for a class of linear time-varying systems with norm-bounded noises and impulsive measurement outliers.A new representation is proposed to model the measurement outlier by an impulsive signal whose minimum interval length(i.e.,the minimum duration between two adjacent impulsive signals)and minimum norm(i.e.,the minimum of the norms of all impulsive signals)are larger than certain thresholds that are adjustable according to engineering practice.In order to guarantee satisfactory filtering performance,a so-called parameter-dependent set-membership filter is put forward that is capable of generating a time-varying ellipsoidal region containing the true system state.First,a novel outlier detection strategy is developed,based on a dedicatedly constructed input-output model,to examine whether the received measurement is corrupted by an outlier.Then,through the outcome of the outlier detection,the gain matrix of the desired filter and the corresponding ellipsoidal region are calculated by solving two recursive difference equations.Furthermore,the ultimate boundedness issue on the time-varying ellipsoidal region is thoroughly investigated.Finally,a simulation example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed parameter-dependent set-membership filtering strategy.展开更多
In the tracking problem for the maritime radiation source by a passive sensor,there are three main difficulties,i.e.,the poor observability of the radiation source,the detection uncertainty(false and missed detections...In the tracking problem for the maritime radiation source by a passive sensor,there are three main difficulties,i.e.,the poor observability of the radiation source,the detection uncertainty(false and missed detections)and the uncertainty of the target appearing/disappearing in the field of view.These difficulties can make the establishment or maintenance of the radiation source target track invalid.By incorporating the elevation information of the passive sensor into the automatic bearings-only tracking(BOT)and consolidating these uncertainties under the framework of random finite set(RFS),a novel approach for tracking maritime radiation source target with intermittent measurement was proposed.Under the RFS framework,the target state was represented as a set that can take on either an empty set or a singleton; meanwhile,the measurement uncertainty was modeled as a Bernoulli random finite set.Moreover,the elevation information of the sensor platform was introduced to ensure observability of passive measurements and obtain the unique target localization.Simulation experiments verify the validity of the proposed approach for tracking maritime radiation source and demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach in comparison with the traditional integrated probabilistic data association(IPDA)method.The tracking performance under different conditions,particularly involving different existence probabilities and different appearance durations of the target,indicates that the method to solve our problem is robust and effective.展开更多

The data association problem of multiple extended target tracking is very challenging because each target may generate multiple measurements.Recently,the belief propagation based multiple target tracking algorithms wi...The data association problem of multiple extended target tracking is very challenging because each target may generate multiple measurements.Recently,the belief propagation based multiple target tracking algorithms with high efficiency have been a research focus.Different from the belief propagation based Extended Target tracking based on Belief Propagation(ET-BP)algorithm proposed in our previous work,a new graphical model formulation of data association for multiple extended target tracking is proposed in this paper.The proposed formulation can be solved by the Loopy Belief Propagation(LBP)algorithm.Furthermore,the simplified measurement set in the ET-BP algorithm is modified to improve tracking accuracy.Finally,experiment results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than the ET-BP and joint probabilistic data association based on the simplified measurement set algorithms in terms of accuracy and efficiency.Additionally,the convergence of the proposed algorithm is verified in the simulations.展开更多
