In BaLn_2Mn_2O_7 there appear many phases, depending on the synthetic conditions for each rare earth. The tetragonal phase of so-called Ruddlesden-Popper type is the fundamental structure and many kinds of deformed modification of this structure are obtained. For BaEu_2Mn_2O_7 at least five phases have been identified from the results of X-ray diffraction analysis with the space group P4_2/mnm, Fmmm, Immm and A2/m in addition to the fundamental tetragonal I4/mmm phase. In the pyrochlore-related type compounds, Ln_2Mn_(2-x)M_xO_7 (M=Ta, Nb, W etc), there also appear several phases with different crystal structures. With regard to every rare earth, Ln_2MnTaO_7 phase is stable only for excess Ta and can be obtained under high oxygen partial pressure process. This group has trigonal structure with zirkelite type (P3_121 space group). On the other hand Ln_2Mn_(2/3)Nb_(4/3)O_7 phase has monoclinic (C2/c space group) and zirconolite type structure. All of these structural models have the fundamental structure based on HTB (hexagonal tungsten bronze) layers formed by the arrangement of oxygen octahedra.展开更多

Linear sweep voltammetry(LSV) results show that the LaSr3 Fe_3 O_(10)-GO hybrid exhibits higher current density, a more positive onset potential(-0.15 V vs. Hg/HgO) in comparison with LaSr_3 Fe_3 O_(10).The value of the overall transferred electrons for both catalysts implies a dominant two electron process for ORR. Both catalysts under alkalic conditions exhibit a two-step Tafel slope, suggesting a change in the reaction mechanism for ORR. The composite electrode exhibits a higher ORR current density, but inferior durability performances in relative to the LaSr_3 Fe_3 O_(10) electrode.展开更多

The effect of Cu doping on the magnetic and transport properties has been studied. It is found that Cu substitution for Mn greatly affects the magnetic and electrical properties of the parent phase La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7. With the increase of Cu content, the system undergoes a transition from longrange ferromagnetic order to the spin glass state and further to an antiferromagnetic order. A little of Cu dopant can lead to the samples showing semiconductor or insulator behaviour in the whole observed temperature range while the parent phase has a metal-insulator transition. These samples show colossal magnetoresistance at low temperatures and the value of it decreases with increasing Cu content.展开更多

The manganese ions are highly mixed states of Mn3+ and Mn4+. It is found that the Mn3+/Mn4+ ratio decreases with the Fe doping content increasing. The conductivity and magnetoresistance (MR) were studied. The sample of x = 0.05 shows metal insulator transition (MIT) at 135 K. The MIT peak temperature (Tp) shifts towards higher temperature with increasing applied magnetic field. All the samples can be well fitted to the variable-range hopping (VRH) model. The maximum value of MR (%) [ρ(0) - ρ(H)]/ρ(0) × 100 for x = 0.05 is 34% (105 K, 7 kOe).展开更多
