However, excessive application of N fertilizers wil...Nitrogen(N) is one of the macronutrients required for plant growth, and reasonable application of N fertilizers can increase crop yields and improve their quality. However, excessive application of N fertilizers will decrease N use efficiency and also lead to increases in N2O emissions from agricultural soils and many other environmental issues. Research on the effects of different N fertilizer management practices on wheat yields and N2O emissions will assist the selection of effective N management measures which enable achieving high wheat yields while reducing N2O emissions. To investigate the effects of different N management practices on wheat yields and soil N2O emissions, we conducted field trials with 5 treatments of no N fertilizer(CK), farmers common N rate(AN), optimal N rate(ON), 20% reduction in optimal rate+dicyandiamide(ON80%+DCD), 20% reduction in optimal rate+nano-carbon(ON80%+NC). The static closed chamber gas chromatography method was used to monitor N2O emissions during the wheat growing season. The results showed that there were obvious seasonal characteristics of N2O emissions under each treatment and N2O emissions were mainly concentrated in the sowing-greening stage, accounting for 54.6–68.2% of the overall emissions. Compared with AN, N2O emissions were decreased by 23.1, 45.4 and 33.7%, respectively, under ON, ON80%+DCD and ON80%+NC, and emission factors were declined by 22.2, 66.7 and 33.3%, respectively. Wheat yield was increased significantly under ON80%+DCD and ON80%+NC by 12.3 and 11.9%, respectively, relative to AN while there was no significant change in yield in the ON treatment. Compared with ON, overall N2O emissions were decreased by 29.1 and 13.9% while wheat yields improved by 18.3 and 17.9% under ON80%+DCD and ON80%+NC, respectively. We therefore recommend that ON80%+DCD and ON80%+NC be referred as effective N management practices increasing yields while mitigating emissions.展开更多

However, very few studies have looked at the relationship between urbanization and anuran body condition. We investigated whether the distribution and body condition of the rice-paddy frog(Fejervarya multistriata) and gold-striped pond frog(Pelophylax plancyi) are influenced by increasing urbanization in Shanghai, China. Four study sites with six indicators of the major land-cover types were scored to indicate their position on an urbanization gradient. We found that both the density and body condition of F. multistriata declined significantly along this gradient. Although we observed a significant difference in body condition of P. plancyi among study sites with different degrees of urbanization, we did not find any corresponding significant differences in population density. Our results indicate that both the densities and body condition of these two anuran species show a negative relationship with increasing urbanization, but that the density of P. plancyi was only slightly affected in Shanghai.展开更多

The effects of environmental factors on the alternation of the different Synechococcus groups were also elucidated. PE-rich SYN was detected in three surveys, whereas PC-rich SYN was detected in May and August, but not in November. The highest abundances of PE-rich SYN and PC-rich SYN were recorded in August and May, with mean values of 74.17×103 and 189.92×103 cells m L-1, respectively. From May to November, the relative abundance of PE-rich SYN increased, whereas that of PC-rich SYN declined. PE-rich and PC-rich SYN presented similar horizontal distributions with high abundance in the southern estuary in May, and in the western estuary in August. The abundances of PE-rich and PC-rich SYN were high at 27–32℃and salinity of 10–20. PC-rich SYN was not detected at < 24℃, and PC:PE-rich SYN decreased in abundance with salinity increase. When less than 20 mg L-1, suspended particulate matter(SPM) was helpful for Synechococcus growth. PE-rich SYN decreased in abundance when the concentration of dissolved inorganic nitrogen increased in May and November, and the concentration of phosphate increased in November. However, PC-rich SYN abundance and nutrients showed no correlation. Principal component analysis and regression analysis indicated that PE-rich SYN significantly correlated with the principal components that were affected by environmental factors.展开更多

Scots pine wood specimens were treated with dispersions of nano-Cu O, nano-Zn O,nano-B2O3, nano-Ti O2, and nano-Ce O2. PB72 treatments of nano-particle-treated wood specimens were then carried out by either vacuum or immersion for 24 h. Previously,decayed wood specimens were also consolidated with the nano-compounds and PB72. PB72 treatments reduced element release from treated wood specimens. Nearly all nano-compounds ? PB72 treatments increased the biological performance of treated wood specimens against decay fungi tested. PB72-only treated wood specimens had the highest weight losses in decay tests. No improvements were obtained in mold resistance tests when the nanocompounds and PB72 were combined. In nano-compoundonly treatments, unleached specimens showed slightly lower water absorption values compared to untreated control specimens. Incorporation of PB72 into nano-compound-treated wood specimens resulted in considerably lower water absorption and volumetric swell. In previously decayed specimens treated with the nano-compounds and PB72 solution, water absorption after 2-h immersion declined compared to control specimens.展开更多

A longterm field experiment was established in 2006 to examine the influence of tillage systems on soil aggregation and OC in a sandy loam soil in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain of China. The study involved eight treatments: plowing every year with(TS) and without residue(T), plowing every 2 years with(2TS) and without residue(2T), plowing every 4 years with(4TS) and without residue(4T), and no plowing with(NTS) and without residue(NT). In 2013, soil samples were collected at depths of 0–5, 5–10 and 10–20 cm, and separated into three aggregate-size classes: macroaggregates(〉250 μm), microaggregates(53–250 μm) and the silt+clay fraction(〈53 μm) using wet sieving method. Soil parameters measured were water-stable aggregates, geometric mean diameter(GMD), mean weight diameter(MWD) and OC concentrations in different aggregate-size fractions and in bulk soil. The tillage treatments significantly(P〈0.05) influenced soil aggregate stability and OC distribution. Higher MWD and GMD were observed in 2TS, 4TS and NTS as compared to T. With increasing soil depth, the amount of macroaggregates and MWD and GMD values were increased, while the proportions of microaggregates and the silt+clay fraction were declined. The OC concentrations in different aggregate fractions at all soil depths followed the order of macroaggregates〉microaggregates〉silt+clay fraction. In the 0–5 cm soil layer, concentrations of macroaggregateassociated OC in 2TS, 4TS and NTS were 14, 56 and 83% higher than for T, whereas T had the greatest concentration of OC associated with the silt+clay fraction in the 10–20 cm layer. Thirty-three cons...The effect of topical propranolol gel on the levels of plasma renin,angiotensin Ⅱ(ATⅡ) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in superficial infantile hemangiomas(IHs) was investigated. Thirty-three consecutive children with superficial IHs were observed pre-treatment,1 and 3 months after application of topical propranolol gel for the levels of plasma renin,AT Ⅱand VEGF in Department of General Surgery of Dongfang Hospital from February 2013 to February 2014. The plasma results of IHs were compared with those of 30 healthy infants of the same age from out-patient department. The clinical efficiency of topical propranolol gel at 1st,and 3rd month after application was 45%,and 82% respectively. The levels of plasma renin,AT and VEGF in patients preⅡ-treatment were higher than those in healthy infants(565.86±49.66 vs. 18.19±3.56,3.20±0.39 vs 0.30±0.03,and 362.16±27.29 vs. 85.63±8.14,P〈0.05). The concentrations of VEGF and renin at 1st and 3rd month after treatment were decreased obviously as compared with those pre-treatment(271.51±18.59 vs. 362.16±27.29,and 405.18±42.52 vs. 565.86±49.66 P〈0.05; 240.80±19.89 vs. 362.16±27.29,and 325.90±35.78 vs. 565.86±49.66,P〈0.05,respectively),but the levels of plasma AT declined slightly Ⅱ(2.96±0.37 vs. 3.20±0.39,and 2.47±0.27 vs. 3.20±0.39,P〉0.05). It was indicated that the increased renin,AT Ⅱand VEGF might play a role in the onset or development of IHs. Propranolol gel may suppress the proliferation of IHs by reducing VEGF.展开更多

This species is a common snake in plain river network region. In the past several decades, E. rufodorsata has dramatically declined due to the effect of human activities and over hunting for traditional Chinese medicine. We developed nine species-specific microsatellite loci in 190 individuals collected from Huzhou, Zhejiang province in China. These markers revealed a high degree of genetic diversity(13–41 alleles per locus) and heterozygosity(H O ranged from 0.266 to 0.941, and H E ranged from 0.851 to 0.937). No locus exhibited significant deviations from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. There was no evidence of linkage disequilibrium among pairs of loci. These microsatellite markers were described in our study will be valuable tools for the long term management and population-level studies(e.g. the population structure, genetic diversity and variation, individual paternity and evolutionary history) of the species.展开更多

The concentrations of VEGF and renin at 1st and 3rd month after treatment were decreased obviously as compared with those pre-treatment(271.51±18.59 vs. 362.16±27.29,and 405.18±42.52 vs. 565.86±49.66 P〈0.05; 240.80±19.89 vs. 362.16±27.29,and 325.90±35.78 vs. 565.86±49.66,P〈0.05,respectively),but the levels of plasma AT declined slightly Ⅱ(2.96±0.37 vs. 3.20±0.39,and 2.47±0.27 vs. 3.20±0.39,P〉0.05). It was indicated that the increased renin,AT Ⅱand VEGF might play a role in the onset or development of IHs. Propranolol gel may suppress the proliferation of IHs by reducing VEGF.
文摘Analysis of the contents of 3-479 stomachs of half-fin anchovy (taken monthly from April 1982 to May 1983 from the Bohai Sea) shows that half fin anchovy is a zooplanktivorous fish ; the young fish feeds mainly on Copepoda while the adult fish feeds mainly on Mysidacea and Acetes chinensk ; the food composition has a seasonal change, the main food is Mysidacea in spring but Acetes chinensk in summer and fall; the feeding intensity is closely related to its spawning.

文摘In this study,tobacco cultivar Nanjiang No.3 was selected as the experimental material to uptake,accumulation and subcellular distribution of Cd in tobacco.The results showed that Cd uptake in tobacco leaves increased first then declined and increased again;the content generally in descending order of of Cd in various subcellular fractions of tobacco leaves demonstrated a descending order of cytosols〉cell walls〉mitochondria〉chloroplasts;the contents of Cd in various subcellular fractions of tobacco roots were in an descending order of cell walls〉cytosols〉mitochondria〉chloroplasts;under high Cd concentrations,tobacco plants were seriously harmed by Cd.This study provided theoretical basis for the improvement of tobacco production.

文摘A great deal of attention has been focused on discharge plasma as it can rapidly decompose N2O without additives,which is not only a kind of greenhouse gas but also a kind of damages to the ozone layer.The thermal equilibrium plasma is chosen to combine with catalysts to decompose N2O,and its characteristics are analyzed in the present paper.The results indicate that NO and NO2 were formed besides N2 and O2 during N2O decomposition when N2O was treated merely by discharge plasma.Concentration of NO declined greatly when the discharge plasma was combined with catalysts.Results of Raman spectra analysis on CeO2,Ce(0.75)Zr(0.25)O2and Ce(0.5)Zr(0.5)O2 imply that the products selectivity has been obviously improved in discharge plasma decomposing N2O because of the existence of massive oxygen vacancies over the composite oxide catalysts.

文摘The red-backed ratsnake(Elaphe rufodorsata) is widely distributed in East Asia, especially China. This species is a common snake in plain river network region. In the past several decades, E. rufodorsata has dramatically declined due to the effect of human activities and over hunting for traditional Chinese medicine. We developed nine species-specific microsatellite loci in 190 individuals collected from Huzhou, Zhejiang province in China. These markers revealed a high degree of genetic diversity(13–41 alleles per locus) and heterozygosity(H O ranged from 0.266 to 0.941, and H E ranged from 0.851 to 0.937). No locus exhibited significant deviations from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. There was no evidence of linkage disequilibrium among pairs of loci. These microsatellite markers were described in our study will be valuable tools for the long term management and population-level studies(e.g. the population structure, genetic diversity and variation, individual paternity and evolutionary history) of the species.

文摘We investigated the protective effects of electromagnetic field(EMF)on the survival of the human renal proximal tubular cell line,HK-2,using an in vitro hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)injury model.The survival rate of cells cultured under H/R condition declined significantly,while the intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels markedly increased.The 10 Hz/1 m T EMF exposure could inhibit H/R-induced cell death of HK-Z via suppression of intracellular ROS production and that this treatment might be clinically useful for the amelioration of renal ischemia/reperfusion injury.
