By use of separation of variables,the governing equations describing the Biot consolidation model is firstly transformed into a complex coefficient linear homogeneous ordinary differential equation,and the general sol...By use of separation of variables,the governing equations describing the Biot consolidation model is firstly transformed into a complex coefficient linear homogeneous ordinary differential equation,and the general solution of the horizontal displacement of seabed is constructed by employing a complex wave number,thus,all the explicit analytical solutions of the Biot consolidation model are determined. By comparing with the experimental results and analytical solution of Yamamoto etc. and the analytical solution of Hsu and Jeng,the validity and superiority of the suggested solution are verified. After investigating the influence of seabed depth on the wave-induced response of isotropic poro-elastic seabed based on the present theory,it can be concluded that the influence depth of wave-induced hydrodynamic pressure in the seabed is equal to the wave length.展开更多

Wave-induced transient response of displacements, effective stresses and pore pressure in saturate seabed are salved by a consolidation finite element method. The influence of the responses to the stability of seabed ...Wave-induced transient response of displacements, effective stresses and pore pressure in saturate seabed are salved by a consolidation finite element method. The influence of the responses to the stability of seabed and coastal structures is shown by an improved slice method with circular arc slip surface. Dynamic elastic consolidation theory and linear permeability theory are employed in the solution of seabed response. The seabed can be consisted of layered soil with arbitrary boundaries. The acting wave can be regular or irregular . Irregular wave pressure acting on the surface of seabed is calculated by linear superposition method. Wave-induced excess stress on the slip surface is considered in the stability analysis. The spatial and temporal variations of pore pressure in sandy seabed compare well with experiment. Calculations for a vertical breakwater show that the safety factor of seabed and structure will decrease if wave-induced seabed response is considered. The scope of decrease is mainly展开更多
