Especially the axial flow cyclone is the mostsimple construction and it keeps high reliability for maintenance. On the other hand, the collectionefficiency of the cyclone depends not only on the inlet gas velocity but also on the feed particle concentration. The collection efficiency increases with increasing feed particle concentration. However untilnow the problem of how to estimate the collection efficiency depended on the feed particle concentrationis remained except the investigation by Muschelknautz & Brunner~[6]. Therefore in this paper one ofthe estimate method for the collection efficiency of the axial flow cyclones is proposed. The applicationto the geometrically similar type of cyclone of the body diameters D_1=30, 50, 69 and 99 mm showedin good agreement with the experimental results of the collection efficiencies which were described indetail in the paper by Ogawa & Sugiyama~[8].展开更多
Incremental forming process is recently developed to form tubular parts.The fabrication cost and accuracy could be optimized if the effects of process parameters and the optimum values are specified.The aim of this re...Incremental forming process is recently developed to form tubular parts.The fabrication cost and accuracy could be optimized if the effects of process parameters and the optimum values are specified.The aim of this research is using incremental forming of copper tubes to convert a circular tube into a square cross-sectional part.An experimental setup,consisting of a spherical forming punch and a fixture for clamping the tube is designed.The forming punch movement is controlled by a CNC machine.Full factorial design of experiments is carried out in order to determine the effects of process parameters including linear velocity,radial feed,and axial feed of the tool on the thinning ratio and the maximum outer diameter of the square cross-sectional parts.Results show that the radial feed has the major influence on the thinning ratio,while the axial feed plays the major role for the final profile.Increase of radial feed results in higher thinning ratio,and decrease of axial feed results in better shape conformity.Linear velocity does not have a significant effect on thinning ratio.Regression models are also given for predicting the determined responses.展开更多

It could precisely machine hard materials as an alternative to turning for certain limitations. A series of orthogonal turn-milling surface veins experiments have been done on the turn-milling machining center by machining aluminum alloy,and then the nexus between the surface veins and the cutting regimes is studied. The mathematical model for surface vein direction angle is established,also the forming mechanics of surface vein direction is analyzed. Its variety regulation presents decreasing trend with as axial feed and cutter rotary speed increasing. For different eccentric distance of orthogonal turn-milling,the surface veins are different.展开更多
