The article reviews the development of SpeechRater^SM Engine by comparing the latest version with the earliest one and summarizing the function of its main components:the ASR(Automated Speech Recognition)system,the fi...The article reviews the development of SpeechRater^SM Engine by comparing the latest version with the earliest one and summarizing the function of its main components:the ASR(Automated Speech Recognition)system,the filtering model,feature extraction and the scoring model.At the end of each part,some related potential research questions are raised.In addition to the development of the system itself,its monitoring method,that is,using human rater holistic system as standard,is discussed.Also,the present paper believes that SpeechRater^SM is not just a promising scoring system but also a helpful feedback tool.展开更多
