Pattern, magnitude and area of precipitation, evolution of synoptic situation, as well as apparent heat source and apparent moisture sink between different ensemble members are comparatively analyzed. The choice of parameterization scheme for land-surface processes gives rise to the largest influence on the precipitation prediction. The influences of cumulus-convection and cloud-microphysics processes are mainly focused on heavy rainfall;the use of cumulus-convection parameterization tends to produce large-area and light rainfall. Change in parameterization schemes for land-surface and cumulus-convection processes both will cause prominent change in forecast of both dynamic and thermodynamic variables, while change in cloud-microphysics processes show primary impact on dynamic variables. Comparing simplified Arakawa-Schubert and Kain-Fritsch with Betts-Miller-Janjic schemes, SLAB with NOAH schemes, as well as both WRF single moment 6-class and NCEP 3-class with simplified explicit schemes of phase-mixed cloud and precipitation shows that the former predicts stronger low-level jets and high humidity concentration, more convective rainfall and local heavy rainfall, and have better performance in precipitation forecast. Appropriate parameterization schemes can reasonably describe the physical process related to heavy rainfall in South China in the AFRS, such as low-level convergence, latent heat release, vertical transport of heat and water vapor, thereby depicting the multi-scale interactions of low-level jet and meso-scale convective systems in heavy rainfall suitably, and improving the prediction of heavy rainfall in South China in the AFRS as a result.展开更多

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a kind of metabolic disorder characterized by excessive fat deposition in the liver and ranging from simple steatosis(simple NAFLD)to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),cirrh...Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a kind of metabolic disorder characterized by excessive fat deposition in the liver and ranging from simple steatosis(simple NAFLD)to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma[1].It has recently been increasing annually;for example,it was recently estimated to have a global prevalence of 32.4%,which seriously threatens human health[2].Thus,the discovery of new therapeutic targets is of great importance because there is no specified drug for the treatment of NAFLD.On the other hand,the pathogenesis of NAFLD is complicated and still unclear.Recent studies have proposed ferroptosis as related to the disease progressions of NAFLD.Preliminary evidence indicated that ferroptosis in hepatocytes and hepatic macrophages could induce NASH and that complex regulatory mechanisms were involved.In the future,inhibition of ferroptosis may hopefully become an emerging target in treating NAFLD.展开更多

文摘To the editor:Mood disorders(MD)are serious mental illnesses that commonly affect adolescents,leading to a high incidence of suicidal behaviour.1 In China,the suicide attempt(SA)rate for adolescents with MD is 51.96%,2 and over 500000 adolescent SA are reported annually in the USA due to depression.3 Risk factors for SA include gender,hormone levels,family conflict and,particularly,negative cognitive styles such as rumination.
文摘Malaria is a fatal disease transmitted by certain species of mosquitos,causing over 600,000 deaths annually,mainly in Africa,according to the World Health Organisation(WHO).At a ministerial conference held in Yaoundé,capital of Cameroon,representatives from 11 out of the 12 nations most severely impacted by the disease,including Ghana,Mali,Mozambique,and the Democratic Republic of the Congo,vowed to reduce malaria-related mortality by at least 90 percent compared to 2015 levels.

文摘Influenza viruses contribute substantially to respiratory diseases worldwide,including severe lower respiratory tract illnesses,hospitalization,and death.There are approximately a billion cases of seasonal influenza worldwide annually,including 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness and 290,000 to 650,000 respiratory deaths.[1]Vaccination remains the best available intervention to prevent morbidity and mortality caused by influenza viruses circulating in humans,especially for older people with underlying health conditions,such as asthma,diabetes,and cardiovascular diseases.Infection with influenza virus can cause the greatest morbidity and mortality effects.[2]However,the effectiveness of traditional standard-dose inactivated influenza vaccines is not satisfactory,with vaccine effectiveness ranging from 20%in years in which the vaccine is antigenically mismatched to the circulating viral strain[3]to 40%to 60%in years in which the vaccine is antigenically well matched.[4]
文摘Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a kind of metabolic disorder characterized by excessive fat deposition in the liver and ranging from simple steatosis(simple NAFLD)to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma[1].It has recently been increasing annually;for example,it was recently estimated to have a global prevalence of 32.4%,which seriously threatens human health[2].Thus,the discovery of new therapeutic targets is of great importance because there is no specified drug for the treatment of NAFLD.On the other hand,the pathogenesis of NAFLD is complicated and still unclear.Recent studies have proposed ferroptosis as related to the disease progressions of NAFLD.Preliminary evidence indicated that ferroptosis in hepatocytes and hepatic macrophages could induce NASH and that complex regulatory mechanisms were involved.In the future,inhibition of ferroptosis may hopefully become an emerging target in treating NAFLD.
