This work presents an optimal design method of antenna aperture illumination for microwave power transmission with an annular collection area.The objective is to maximize the ratio of the power radiated on the annular...This work presents an optimal design method of antenna aperture illumination for microwave power transmission with an annular collection area.The objective is to maximize the ratio of the power radiated on the annular collection area to the total transmitted power.By formulating the aperture amplitude distribution through a summation of a special set of series,the optimal design problem can be reduced to finding the maximum ratio of two real quadratic forms.Based on the theory of matrices,the solution to the formulated optimization problem is to determine the largest characteristic value and its associated characteristic vector.To meet security requirements,the peak radiation levels outside the receiving area are considered to be extra constraints.A hybrid grey wolf optimizer and Nelder–Mead simplex method is developed to deal with this constrained optimization problem.In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method,numerical experiments on continuous apertures are conducted;then,discrete arrays of isotropic elements are employed to validate the correctness of the optimized results.Finally,patch arrays are adopted to further verify the validity of the proposed method.展开更多

This article describes a theoretically justified reliable method, which is free of any model assumptions: The so called Wolf plot (logarithm of the relative viscosity as a function of polymer concentration) enables the unequivocal determination of intrinsic viscosities for all kinds of macromolecules, irrespective of whether they are chain molecules of different architecture or globular polymers, whether they are charged or uncharged. The integration of distributed energy resources(DERs) into distribution networks is becoming increasingly important, as it supports the continued adoption of renewable power generation, combined heat and power plants,...The integration of distributed energy resources(DERs) into distribution networks is becoming increasingly important, as it supports the continued adoption of renewable power generation, combined heat and power plants, and storage systems. Nevertheless, inadvertent islanding operation is one of the major protection issues in distribution networks connected to DERs. This study proposes an intelligent islanding detection method(IIDM) using an intrinsic mode function(IMF)feature-based grey wolf optimized artificial neural network(GWO-ANN). In the proposed IIDM, the modal voltage signal is pre-processed by variational mode decomposition followed by Hilbert transform on each IMF to derive highly involved features. Then, the energy and standard deviation of IMFs are employed to train/test the GWO-ANN model for identifying the islanding operations from other non-islanding events. To evaluate the performance of the proposed IIDM, various islanding and non-islanding conditions such as faults, voltage sag, linear and nonlinear load and switching, are considered as the training and testing datasets. Moreover, the proposed IIDM is evaluated under noise conditions for the measured voltage signal. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed IIDM is capable of differentiating between islanding and non-islanding events without any sensitivity under noise conditions in the test signal.展开更多
Wolf Totem is a famous work that is written by Jiang Rong,which profoundly reflects the relationship of wolf spirit and humanity,nature and humankind,nation and belief,freedom and conquest,contradiction and unificatio...Wolf Totem is a famous work that is written by Jiang Rong,which profoundly reflects the relationship of wolf spirit and humanity,nature and humankind,nation and belief,freedom and conquest,contradiction and unification.Since this novel was published in 2004,it has caused a very strong reaction among domestic readers and certainly wins people's favor.The English version of Wolf Totem which is translated by Howard Goldblatt gets a hit in foreign countries.What's more,this version is awarded the first Man Asian Literature Prize.As a result,more and more people are interested in the English version and analyze it from different perspectives,which makes the version be accepted and understood well by people.Based on omission,this paper aims to analyze the application of omission in the translation of Wolf Totem.The result indicates that the omission makes the English version clear and succinct.To some extent,it can avoid encumbrance and repetition.Although omission is used frequendy in Chinese-English literature translation,people should not violate the principle of fidelity.展开更多
