Numerical simulations show that the intrusion of hot mantle material leads to an extensional stress state in the upper crust of central Da bie mountains, while compressivestress state appears on both sides of orogenic belt under the action of horizontal compression from Yang tze craton.This is in accordance with the actual faulting tectonics in this area.
