Solid-Contact Ion-Selective Electrodes Based on Graphite Paste for Potentiometric Nitrate and Ammonium Determinations

Robust and easy-to-handle solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SC-ISEs) based on graphite paste have been developed for the potentiometric detection of NO-3 and NH+4 in environmental samples. Polypyrrole (PPy) has been used as intermediate layer and solid contact between the electron-conducting graphite paste substrate and the ion-conducting polyvinylchloride (PVC)-containing membrane with the immobilized ionophore. For the nitrate- and ammonium-selective electrodes, tridodecylmethylammonium nitrate (TDMA-NO3) and nonactin have been used as ion-complexing compounds, respectively. Both ISEs show nearly Nernstian response in the linear range from 10-5 mol/L to 10-1 mol/L with average slopes of >58 mV/decade. The ISEs possess short response times (<20 s). 展开更多

固体可逆接触式玻璃电极的特性与测量大白鼠胃液酸度的试验

将固体可逆接触式医用微型玻璃电极用于测定大白鼠胃液的pH值及电位差,测量值与定型生产的酸度计所测数值相比较,统计其测量偏差。试验结果表明这种电极的测量偏差比较小,而且pH值与电位差呈线性关系,在医学上具有很好的应用前景。

In recent years, there has been a pronounced interest in solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SC-ISEs), with emphasis on the use of conducting polymers as ion-to-electron transducer. In this work, a ladder conjugated polymer, thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (LCPT), was investigated in fabricating Cu2+-selective electrodes for the first time. The resulting electrodes were characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), chronopotentiometry, and the water layer test. Results proved that the active LCPT facilitates the ion-to-electron transduction, and avoids the detrimental aqueous layer formed at the interface of SC-ISEs. 展开更多

微生物腐蚀现象中有50%是由硫酸盐还原菌(sulfate-reducing bacteria,SRB)引起,pH作为SRB生长过程的重要指标,其准确、实时监测对于腐蚀的研究有重要意义。本研究构建了一种高柔韧性全固态氢离子选择电极,将高柔韧性的银丝作为导电基底... 微生物腐蚀现象中有50%是由硫酸盐还原菌(sulfate-reducing bacteria,SRB)引起,pH作为SRB生长过程的重要指标,其准确、实时监测对于腐蚀的研究有重要意义。本研究构建了一种高柔韧性全固态氢离子选择电极,将高柔韧性的银丝作为导电基底,运用电化学沉积技术将氧化石墨烯沉积在银丝上,沉积具有大电容、能进行离子与电子信号转换的固接转换层。将三正十二胺(TDDA)作为中性载体,与四苯基硼酸钾(KTPB)、葵二酸二辛酯(DOS)、聚氯乙烯(PVC)等制备而成的H^+选择性膜包覆在转换层上,获得全固态的氢离子选择电极。测试结果表明,电极的pH响应范围达到2.5~12,响应性能稳定,选择性和抗干扰性优良,在海水、离子种类复杂的培养基中的测试结果与商用pH计吻合度达95%以上。 展开更多

A comparative study of liquid and solid inner contact roxatidine acetate ion-selective electrode membranes

A comparative study was conducted using two designs of a roxatidine acetate (ROX)-selective electrode; a conventional liquid inner contact called electrode A and a graphite-coated solid contact called electrode 13. The fabrication of electrodes was based on roxatidine-tetraphenylborate (ROX-TPB) as an ion-association complex in a PVC matrix using different plasticizers. Electrode A has a linear dynamic range of 2.2 ×10^-5 mol/L to 1.0 ×10^-2 mol/L, with a Nernstian slope of 54.7 mV/decade and a detection limit of 1.4 ×10^-6 mol/L. Electrode B shows linearity over the concentration range of 1.0×10^-6 mol/L to 1.0×10^-2 tool/L, with a Nernstian slope of 51.2 mV/decade and a limit of detection of 1.1×10^7 mol/L which is remarkably improved as a result of diminishing ion fluxes in this solid contact, ion-selective electrode. The proposed sensors display useful analytical characteristics for the determination of ROX in bulk powder and its pharmaceutical formulation. The present electrodes show clear discrimination of ROX from several inorganic, organic ions, sugars, some common drug excipients and the degradation product (3-[3-(1-piperidinyl methyl) phenoxy] propyl amine) of ROX. Furthermore, the proposed electrodes were utilized for the determination of ROX in human plasma, where electrode B covers drug Cmax which indicated its applicability to pharmacokinetic, bioavailability and bioequivalent studies. The results obtained by the proposed electrodes were statistically analyzed and compared with those obtained by a reported HPLC method. No significant difference for either accuracy or precision was observed. 展开更多
