[Method] The total anthocyanin, soluble sugar, soluble protein and free proline contents of the leaves of the five main C. annuum cultivars planted in Wenshan Prefecture, i.e., ZSZ75-1, ZSZ49-1-1, 12WS-18-1, 12ZH01 and ZS130, under the drought stress simulated by PEG-6000 were studied by using spectrophotometry, and the total osmoregulation abilities of the leaves were evaluated by using subordinate function. [Result] Under the drought stress simulated by PEG-6000, the total anthocyanin contents of the veins, mesophylls and whole leaves of the five cultivars were all as: ZSZ75-1〉ZSZ49-1-1〉12WS-18-1〉12ZH01〉ZS130, the soluble sugar contents as: 12ZH01 〉12WS-18-1 〉ZS130〉ZSZ49-1-1 〉ZSZ75-1, the soluble protein contents as: ZSZ75-1〉12ZH01〉ZSZ49-1-1〉12WS-18-1〉ZS130, and the free proline contents as: ZS130〉ZSZ75-1 〉12WS-18-1 〉ZSZ49-1-1 〉12ZH01. Furthermore, the differences among the total anthocyanin contents of the veins, mesophylls and whole leaves of the five cultivars all reached the extremely significant levels, whereas the differences among the contents of the soluble sugar, soluble protein and free proline did not reach the significant levels, the correlation degrees among the contents of the total anthocyanin, soluble sugar, soluble protein and free proline of different cultivars were also inconsistent, and the total osmoregulation abilities of the five cultivar leaves were as: ZSZ75-1 〉7SZ49-1-1 〉12WS-18-1 〉ZS130〉12ZH01. [Conclusion] The anthocyanin accumulation in the specific organs of the five C. annuum cultivars in Wenshan Prefecture is beneficial to the strengthening of the leaf osmoregulation abilities under drought stress, favoring the drought tolerance of the cultivars.展开更多

Base line data of 1861 Egyptian patient...We aim to determine the baseline factors associated with partial and cEVR by analyzing the data of 1861 Egyptian patients treated for 12 weeks with a course of Peg-IFN plus RBV. Base line data of 1861 Egyptian patients with chronic hepatitis C coming at Cairo-Fatemic Hospital for HCV treatment were studied including full clinical, Ultrasonographic examination, laboratory evaluation and liver biopsy. The most significant variables in relation to complete early virological response were low Hb level (13 gm/dl) with p 0.01, the stage of fibrosis p value < 0.05 and the grades of inflammation p value were associated with less achievement of c EVR. We conclude that identifying the most significant predictors of response such as Hb, stage of fibrosis F, at baseline before initiating treatment is mandatory to predict which patient will be more expected to achieve a cEVR and thus reducing the side-effects and healthcare costs associated with interferon therapies.展开更多
Objective:To explore changes and clinical value of serum HBV RNA level on HBeAg positive CHB patients treated with the treatment of Peg IFN-α.Methods:Totally 34 cases of patients with HBeAg positive CHB who received ...Objective:To explore changes and clinical value of serum HBV RNA level on HBeAg positive CHB patients treated with the treatment of Peg IFN-α.Methods:Totally 34 cases of patients with HBeAg positive CHB who received Peg IFN-αtreatment in our hospital from February 2014 to October 2015 were selected.Serum HBV RNA,HBV DNA,and ALT levels in patients were detected before treatment,and at treatment of 12 weeks,24 weeks,and 52 weeks,respectively.The relationship between serum HBV RNA levels and ALT,HBeAg status and response status during Peg IFN-αantiviral treatment was analyzed.Results:The serum ALT level in patients at 12,24 and 52 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that in patients before treatment,the serum ALT level in patients at 24 and 52 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that in patients at 12 weeks after treatment,the serum ALT level in patients at 52 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that in patients at 24 weeks after treatment,all above had statistical difference(P<0.05).At 12,24 and 52 weeks after treatment,ALT recurrence rate was 41.18%(14/34),55.88%(19/34),and 76.47%(26/34),respectively;the negative conversion rate of HBeAg was 26.47%(9/34),29.41%(10/34)and 47.06%(16/34),respectively;the negative conversion rate of HBV DNA was 38.23%(13/34),50.00%(17/34),and 61.76%(21/34),respectively.The serum HBV RNA level in patients at 12,24 and 52 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that in patients before treatment,all above had statistical difference(P<0.05).At 12,24 and 52 weeks after treatment,the serum HBV RNA level in patients with recurrent ALT level was significantly lower than that in patients without recurrent ALT level,the serum HBV RNA level in patients with negative conversion of HBeAg was significantly lower than that in patients without negative conversion of HBeAg,the serum HBV RNA level in patients with complete response was significantly lower than that in patients without complete response,all above had statistical difference(P<0.0展开更多
