The objective was to d etermine the effect of the cutting parameters on cutting force, chip morphology and resultant workpiece surface quality, more specifically surface texture, micr ostructure alterations, changes in microhardness and residual stresses distribut ion. The changing rules of the main cutting force was shown in this paper which feature a increasing tendency with the improvement of the workpiece hardness wit hin the cutting parameter scope. The rule of cutting force changing with the wor kpiece hardness is accord to the traditional metal cutting theory. Stress value decrease with increasing cutting speed and workpiece hardness. The comparison of the machined surface roughness and harden layer depth of machined surface for d ifferent hardness is shown in Fig.1. The machined surface roughness is the worst when the workpiece hardness is around 50HRC. When the workpiece hardness is ove r 50HRC, the surface roughness value shows a descending tendency with the additi on hardness. The machined superficial harden layer depth shows an increasing ten dency with the improvement of the workpiece hardness. When the workpiece hardnes s is 50HRC the machined superficial harden layer depth is tiptop. When the workp iece hardness is over 50HRC the depth changes little with the addition of workpi ece hardness. The remnant stress status of the machined surface is shown in Fig. 2, which is press stress status both in surface and in base for less cutting par ameters under two kinds of cutting condition. But experiment results show that t ensile stress can be produced under uncomfortable cutting conditions. In HetNets(Heterogeneous Networks),each network is allocated with xed spectrum resource and provides service to its assigned users using speci c RAT(Radio Access Technology).Due to the high dynamics of load distributi...In HetNets(Heterogeneous Networks),each network is allocated with xed spectrum resource and provides service to its assigned users using speci c RAT(Radio Access Technology).Due to the high dynamics of load distribution among di erent networks,simply optimizing the performance of individual network can hardly meet the demands from the dramatically increasing access devices,the consequent upsurge of data trac,and dynamic user QoE(Quality-of-Experience).The deployment of smart networks,which are supported by SRA(Smart Resource Allocation)among di erent networks and CUA(Cognitive User Access)among di erent users,is deemed a promising solution to these challenges.In this paper,we propose a frame-work to transform HetNets to smart networks by leveraging WBD(Wireless Big Data),CR(Cognitive Radio)and NFV(Network Function Virtualization)techniques.CR and NFV support resource slicing in spectrum,physical layers,and network layers,while WBD is used to design intelligent mechanisms for resource mapping and trac prediction through powerful AI(Arti cial Intelligence)methods.We analyze the characteristics of WBD and review possible AI methods to be utilized in smart networks.In particular,the potential of WBD is revealed through high level view on SRA,which intelligently maps radio and network resources to each network for meeting the dynamic trac demand,as well as CUA,which allows mobile users to access the best available network with manageable cost,yet achieving target QoS(Quality-of-Service)or QoE.展开更多
Neuroendocrine differentiation (NED), which is not uncommon in prostate cancer, is increases in prostate cancer after androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) and generally appears in castration- resistant prostate canc...Neuroendocrine differentiation (NED), which is not uncommon in prostate cancer, is increases in prostate cancer after androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) and generally appears in castration- resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Neuroendocrine ceils, which are found in normal prostate tissue, are a small subset of cells and have unique function in regulating the growth of prostate ceils. Prostate cancer with NED includes different types of tumor, including focal NED, pure neuroendocrine tumor or mixed neuroendocrine-adenocarcinoma. Although more and more studies are carried out on NED in prostate cancer, the molecular components that are involved in NED are still poorly elucidated. We review neuroendocrine cells in normal prostate tissue, NED in prostate cancer, terminology of NED and biomarkers used for detecting NED in routine pathological practice. Some recently reported molecular components which drive NED in prostate cancer are listed in the review.展开更多
Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are attracting tremendous attention for new-generation photovoltaic devices because of their excellent power conversion efficiency and simple fabrication process....Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are attracting tremendous attention for new-generation photovoltaic devices because of their excellent power conversion efficiency and simple fabrication process. One of the various approaches to increase the efficiency of PSCs is to change the material or structure of the carrier transport layer. Here, optically long and electrically short structural concept is proposed to enhance the characteristics of a PSC by employing selectively grown single crystalline TiO2 nanorods. The approach has the merit of increasing the electro n-hole separati on effectively and en ables a thicker active layer to be coated without electrical loss by using TiO2 nano rods as an electr on pathway. Moreover, selectively grow n TiO2 nano rods in crease the optical path of the in cide nt light via scatteri ng effects and en able a smooth coati ng of the active layer. Nano imprint lithography and hydrothermal growth were employed to fabricate selectively grow n TiO2 nanorod substrates. The fabricated solar cell exhibits an efficiency of 19.86% with a current density, open-circuit voltage, and fill factor of 23.13 mA/cm^2, 1.120 V, and 76.69%, respectively. Time-resolved photoluminescence, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, and the incident phot on to current efficiency (IPCE) an alysis were conducted to understand the factors resp on sible for the improvement in characteristics of the fabricated PSCs.展开更多

Current researches based on areal or spaceborne stereo images with very high resolutions(<1 m)have demonstrated that it is possible to derive vegetation height from stereo images.The second version of the Advanced ...Current researches based on areal or spaceborne stereo images with very high resolutions(<1 m)have demonstrated that it is possible to derive vegetation height from stereo images.The second version of the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Global Digital Elevation Model(ASTER GDEM)is the state-of-the-art global elevation data-set developed by stereo images.However,the resolution of ASTER stereo images(15 m)is much coarser than areal stereo images,and the ASTER GDEM is compiled products from stereo images acquired over 10 years.The forest disturbances as well as forest growth are inevitable in 10 years time span.In this study,the features of ASTER GDEM over vegetated areas under both flat and mountainous conditions were investigated by comparisons with lidar data.The factors possibly affecting the extraction of vegetation canopy height considered include(1)co-registration of DEMs;(2)spatial resolution of digital elevation models(DEMs);(3)spatial vegetation structure;and(4)terrain slope.The results show that the accurate coregistration between ASTER GDEM and national elevation dataset(NED)is necessary over mountainous areas.The correlation between ASTER GDEM minus NED and vegetation canopy height is improved from 0.328 to 0.43 by degrading resolutions from 1 arc-second to 5 arc-second and further improved to 0.6 if only homogenous vegetated areas were considered.展开更多

The processor is greatly hampered by the large dataset of picture or multimedia data.The logic of approximation hardware is moving in the direction of multimedia processing with a given amount of acceptable mistake.Th...The processor is greatly hampered by the large dataset of picture or multimedia data.The logic of approximation hardware is moving in the direction of multimedia processing with a given amount of acceptable mistake.This study proposes various higher-order approximate counter-based compressor(CBC)using input shuffled 6:3 CBC.In the Wallace multiplier using a CBC is a significant factor in partial product reduction.So the design of 10-4,11-4,12-4,13-4 and 14-4 CBC are proposed in this paper using an input shuffled 6:3 compressor to attain two stage multiplications.The input shuffling aims to reduce the output combination of the 6:3 compressor from 64 to 27.Design of 15-4,10-4,9-4,and 7-3 CBCs are performed using the proposed 6:3 compressor and the results obtained are compared with the existing models.These existing models are constructed using multiplexers and 5-3 CBC.When compared to input shuffled 5-3 the proposed 6:3 compressor shows better results in terms of area,power and delay.An approximation is performed on the 6:3 compressor to further reduce the computational energy of the system which is optimal for multimedia applications.The major contribution of this work is the development of two stage multiplier using various proposed CBC.All designs of the approximate compressor(AC)and true compressor(TC)are analysed with 8 ×8 and 16 × 16 imagemultiplication.The proposed multipliers also provide adequate levels of accuracy,according to the MATLAB simulations,in addition to greater hardware efficiency.As the result approximate circuits over image processing shows the stunning performance in many deep learning network in the current research which is only oriented to multimedia.展开更多

The latter holds that Damasio does not distinguish the concepts ...In this article I will confront Antonio Damasio's theory (exposed in his last book Self Comes to Mind) with the criticism it received from Ned Block. The latter holds that Damasio does not distinguish the concepts of phenomenal consciousness and self-consciousness and this has two kinds of consequences. One is that it cannot satisfactorily explain certain mental states (dreams, vegetative states); the other is that it has harmful consequences for animal ethics. I maintain that to compare the two theories we can only rely on our pre-theoretical intuition of consciousness. Thus, I argue that Dam^tsio's theory combines more with our intuitions. One of the reasons is that the cases that Block describes as phenomenal consciousness without access consciousness (and without self-consciousness) are best explained as being cases of mind without consciousness. Dam^sio's theory can also explain those referred cases which are theoretically problematic. Moreover, Dam^isio has a threshold model (an expression by Barry Dainton), which is something that Block seems to ignore. This model fits well with the intuitions and neurological knowledge that we normally have on animal consciousness. Dam^isio's core self and his theory of emotions and feelings allow us to understand why we feel compassion for animals. Therefore, we are able to develop an animal ethics, which does not mean that we are required to do so. So even though Damasio does not solve the mystery of consciousness, he should not be the subject of Block's criticism.展开更多

Therefore in T X there are two manifolds S3 × R4 and S3' × R4 and the direction of propagation of time on S3 and S'3 are not necessarily same. We apply this formulation to experimentally observed violation of time reversal symmetry in pp→ tt process and for understanding the result of time reversal based nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy (TR-NEWS) in memoducers.
文摘Herein an estimation is given to the efficiency of nuclear explosive devices in a space-rocket complex to withdraw Hazardous Space Objects (HS0)-asteroids and cometary nuclei from the trajectories leading to their dangerous entry to the atmosphere and falling to the Earth. A conceptual choice of parameters and schemes of application of nuclear explosive devices in impact modules of space-rocket complexes to ensure asteroidal-cometary safety was made.
文摘The processor is greatly hampered by the large dataset of picture or multimedia data.The logic of approximation hardware is moving in the direction of multimedia processing with a given amount of acceptable mistake.This study proposes various higher-order approximate counter-based compressor(CBC)using input shuffled 6:3 CBC.In the Wallace multiplier using a CBC is a significant factor in partial product reduction.So the design of 10-4,11-4,12-4,13-4 and 14-4 CBC are proposed in this paper using an input shuffled 6:3 compressor to attain two stage multiplications.The input shuffling aims to reduce the output combination of the 6:3 compressor from 64 to 27.Design of 15-4,10-4,9-4,and 7-3 CBCs are performed using the proposed 6:3 compressor and the results obtained are compared with the existing models.These existing models are constructed using multiplexers and 5-3 CBC.When compared to input shuffled 5-3 the proposed 6:3 compressor shows better results in terms of area,power and delay.An approximation is performed on the 6:3 compressor to further reduce the computational energy of the system which is optimal for multimedia applications.The major contribution of this work is the development of two stage multiplier using various proposed CBC.All designs of the approximate compressor(AC)and true compressor(TC)are analysed with 8 ×8 and 16 × 16 imagemultiplication.The proposed multipliers also provide adequate levels of accuracy,according to the MATLAB simulations,in addition to greater hardware efficiency.As the result approximate circuits over image processing shows the stunning performance in many deep learning network in the current research which is only oriented to multimedia.
文摘In this article I will confront Antonio Damasio's theory (exposed in his last book Self Comes to Mind) with the criticism it received from Ned Block. The latter holds that Damasio does not distinguish the concepts of phenomenal consciousness and self-consciousness and this has two kinds of consequences. One is that it cannot satisfactorily explain certain mental states (dreams, vegetative states); the other is that it has harmful consequences for animal ethics. I maintain that to compare the two theories we can only rely on our pre-theoretical intuition of consciousness. Thus, I argue that Dam^tsio's theory combines more with our intuitions. One of the reasons is that the cases that Block describes as phenomenal consciousness without access consciousness (and without self-consciousness) are best explained as being cases of mind without consciousness. Dam^sio's theory can also explain those referred cases which are theoretically problematic. Moreover, Dam^isio has a threshold model (an expression by Barry Dainton), which is something that Block seems to ignore. This model fits well with the intuitions and neurological knowledge that we normally have on animal consciousness. Dam^isio's core self and his theory of emotions and feelings allow us to understand why we feel compassion for animals. Therefore, we are able to develop an animal ethics, which does not mean that we are required to do so. So even though Damasio does not solve the mystery of consciousness, he should not be the subject of Block's criticism.
