The background mod...For intelligent transportation surveillance, a novel background model based on Mart wavelet kernel and a background subtraction technique based on binary discrete wavelet transforms were introduced. The background model kept a sample of intensity values for each pixel in the image and used this sample to estimate the probability density function of the pixel intensity. The density function was estimated using a new Marr wavelet kernel density estimation technique. Since this approach was quite general, the model could approximate any distribution for the pixel intensity without any assumptions about the underlying distribution shape. The background and current frame were transformed in the binary discrete wavelet domain, and background subtraction was performed in each sub-band. After obtaining the foreground, shadow was eliminated by an edge detection method. Experimental results show that the proposed method produces good results with much lower computational complexity and effectively extracts the moving objects with accuracy ratio higher than 90%, indicating that the proposed method is an effective algorithm for intelligent transportation system.展开更多
Members of the multiple antibiotic resistance regulator(MarR)protein family are ubiquitous in bacteria and play critical roles in regulating cellular metabolism and antibiotic resistance.MarR family proteins function ...Members of the multiple antibiotic resistance regulator(MarR)protein family are ubiquitous in bacteria and play critical roles in regulating cellular metabolism and antibiotic resistance.MarR family proteins function as repressors,and their interactions with modulators induce the expression of controlled genes.The previously characterized modulators are insufficient to explain the activities of certain MarR family proteins.However,recently,several MarR family proteins have been reported to sense sulfane sulfur,including zero-valent sulfur,persulfide(R-SSH),and polysulfide(R-SnH,n≥2).Sulfane sulfur is a common cellular component in bacteria whose levels vary during bacterial growth.The changing levels of sulfane sulfur affect the expression of many MarR-controlled genes.Sulfane sulfur reacts with the cysteine thiols of MarR family proteins,causing the formation of protein thiol persulfide,disulfide bonds,and other modifications.Several MarR family proteins that respond to reactive oxygen species(ROS)also sense sulfane sulfur,as both sulfane sulfur and ROS induce the formation of disulfide bonds.This review focused on MarR family proteins that sense sulfane sulfur.However,the sensing mechanisms reviewed here may also apply to other proteins that detect sulfane sulfur,which is emerging as a modulator of gene regulation.展开更多
Electrolysis tanks are used to smeltmetals based on electrochemical principles,and the short-circuiting of the pole plates in the tanks in the production process will lead to high temperatures,thus affecting normal pr...Electrolysis tanks are used to smeltmetals based on electrochemical principles,and the short-circuiting of the pole plates in the tanks in the production process will lead to high temperatures,thus affecting normal production.Aiming at the problems of time-consuming and poor accuracy of existing infrared methods for high-temperature detection of dense pole plates in electrolysis tanks,an infrared dense pole plate anomalous target detection network YOLOv5-RMF based on You Only Look Once version 5(YOLOv5)is proposed.Firstly,we modified the Real-Time Enhanced Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Network(Real-ESRGAN)by changing the U-shaped network(U-Net)to Attention U-Net,to preprocess the images;secondly,we propose a new Focus module that introduces the Marr operator,which can provide more boundary information for the network;again,because Complete Intersection over Union(CIOU)cannot accommodate target borders that are increasing and decreasing,replace CIOU with Extended Intersection over Union(EIOU),while the loss function is changed to Focal and Efficient IOU(Focal-EIOU)due to the different difficulty of sample detection.On the homemade dataset,the precision of our method is 94%,the recall is 70.8%,and the map@.5 is 83.6%,which is an improvement of 1.3%in precision,9.7%in recall,and 7%in map@.5 over the original network.The algorithm can meet the needs of electrolysis tank pole plate abnormal temperature detection,which can lay a technical foundation for improving production efficiency and reducing production waste.展开更多
