The pseudo-boehmite derived alumina supported metal(Cu,Co and Ni) catalysts prepared by the impregnation method were investigated in hydrogenation of maleic anhydride(MA) to succinic anhydride(SA) and γ-butyrol...The pseudo-boehmite derived alumina supported metal(Cu,Co and Ni) catalysts prepared by the impregnation method were investigated in hydrogenation of maleic anhydride(MA) to succinic anhydride(SA) and γ-butyrolactone.The catalysts were characterized by ICP-AES,N2 adsorptiondesorption,XRD,H2-TPR,CO-TPD,dissociative N2O adsorption and TEM and the results showed that the alumina possessed mesoporous feature and the metal species were well dispersed on the support.Compared to Cu/Al2O3 and Co/Al2O3,Ni/Al2O3 exhibited higher catalytic activity in the MA hydrogenation with 92%selectivity to SA and nearly 100%conversion of MA at 140 °C under 0.5 MPa of H2 with a weighted hourly space velocity of 2 h 1(MA).The stability of Ni/Al2O3 catalyst was also investigated.展开更多

The reductant is a critical factor in the hydrometallurgical recycling of valuable metals from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).There is limited information regarding the use of SnCl_(2) as a reductant with organic a...The reductant is a critical factor in the hydrometallurgical recycling of valuable metals from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).There is limited information regarding the use of SnCl_(2) as a reductant with organic acid(maleic acid)for recovering valuable metals from spent Li-CoO_(2) material.In this study,the leaching efficiencies of Li and Co with 1 mol·L^(−1) of maleic acid and 0.3 mol·L^(−1) of SnCl_(2) were found to be 98.67%and 97.5%,respectively,at 60°C and a reaction time of 40 min.We investigated the kinetics and thermodynamics of the leaching process in this study to better understand the mechanism of the leaching process.Based on a comparison with H_(2)O_(2) with respect to leaching efficiency,the optimal leaching parameters,and the activation energy,we determined that it is feasible to replace H_(2)O_(2) with SnCl_(2) as a leaching reductant in the leaching process.In addition,when SnCl_(2) is used in the acid-leaching process,Sn residue in the leachate may have a positive effect on the re-synthesis of nickel-rich cathode materials.Therefore,the results of this study provide a potential direction for the selection of reductants in the hydrometallurgical recovery of valuable metals from spent LIBs.展开更多

The characterization results showed that Ni-0 active sites were mainly derived during the H2 reduction from spinel NiAl2O4 Among the catalysts studied, employing the optimum preparation and reaction conditions with Ni(5%)/Al2O3 yielded the highest catalytic performance. A near-100% conversion of MA and similar to 90% selectivity to SA were achieved at 120 degrees C and 0.5 MPa of H-2 with a weighted hourly space velocity (MA) of 2 h(-1). The compositions and structures of complexes were characterized with elemental analysis, single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and DSC-TG. Fluorescent properties were studied with fluorescence spectrum. The results indicated that the strongest fluorescent complexes were obtained when the ratio of europium and non-fluorescent ion was 8:2. In this study, Cr and Co promoted, as well as unpromoted vanadium phosphate (VPO) catalysts were synthesized by the reaction of V2O5 and o-H3PO4 in organic medium followed by calcination in n-butane/air environment ...In this study, Cr and Co promoted, as well as unpromoted vanadium phosphate (VPO) catalysts were synthesized by the reaction of V2O5 and o-H3PO4 in organic medium followed by calcination in n-butane/air environment at 673 K. The physico-chemical properties and the catalytic behavior were affected by the addition of Cr and Co dopants. H2-TPR was used to investigate the nature of oxidants in the unpromoted and promoted catalysts. The results showed that both the Cr and Co promoters remarkably lowered the temperature of the reduction peak associated with V^5+. The amount of oxygen species originated from the active phase, V^4+, removed was significantly increased for Co and Cr-promoted catalysts. Both Cr and Co dopants improve strongly the n-butane conversion without sacrificing the MA selectivity. A good correlation was observed between the amount of oxygen species removed from V^4+ phase and the activity for n-butane oxidation to maleic anhydride. This suggested that V^4+-O was the center for the activation of n-butane.展开更多
Esterified starch/polylactic acid(ES/PLA) blending composite was prepared by melting extrusion with maleic anhydride esterified starch and PLA as the raw materials. The composite was accelerated aging by using UV ag...Esterified starch/polylactic acid(ES/PLA) blending composite was prepared by melting extrusion with maleic anhydride esterified starch and PLA as the raw materials. The composite was accelerated aging by using UV aging box, and its properties were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), thermo gravimetric analysis(TGA) and mechanical testing machine. FT-IR and SEM results show that the infrared absorption peak intensities of C-O, C-H, and C=O in aged samples decrease gradually with increasing aging time. The damage degree of surface and internal of aged samples increases gradually. XRD analysis results show that after aging treatment, the crystalline diffraction peak of thermoplastic esterified starch at 2θ = 21° disappears and the diffraction peaks of PLA at 2θ = 16.5° appear, indicating that the hydrolysis rate of esterified starch is greater than that of PLA. The crystallinity of PLA in aged sample shows an increasing trend at first followed by a decreasing one along with the increasing time of aging treatment, suggesting that the hydrolysis of amorphous regions of PLA is more preferential than its crystalline regions. Because of the influence of crystal structure and the change of composition structure, the initial decomposition temperature of aging test specimen gradually increases with the extension of aging time. The maximum decomposition rate temperature and residual mass increases at first, and then decrease after the aging time extending to 1600 h. As the aging time increases, the damage degree of combination interface between esterification starch and PLA is exacerbated, resulting in the tensile strength and bending strength of aged specimen decreasing gradually.展开更多

By employing toluene-p-sulfo...AB2-type-prepolymerized monomer was rapidly (2 h) prepared at room temperature (25 ℃) using commercially available maleic anhydride (MA) and diethanolamine (DEA) as raw materials. By employing toluene-p-sulfonic acid as a catalyzer, a series of hyperbranched poly(amide-ester) (HBPAE) were successfully synthesized from prepared AB2 monomer by solution condensation polymerization through "one-step process" or "pseudo one-step process" (using pentaerythritol as a center core). The processes were carried out at high temperature of 120 ℃ for 6 h in air atmosphere (inert protection free) with reduced pressure distillation (0.08--0.096 MPa). The results of FT-IR, UV-Vis, TGA, and intrinsic viscosity testing by Ubbelodhe viscometer showed that the prepared HBPAEs possess three-dimensional configuration with unsaturated conjugate structure, large numbers of branches and numerous terminal hydroxyl groups. These result in their low viscosity, high solubility and thermal stability.展开更多

Hydrogen peroxide H2O2 was used to initiate the free radical copolymerization of St onto WR. A thermal initiation was used in case of grafting of MA onto WR. Effect of initiator and monomer concentrations together with the influence of reaction temperature and reaction time were investigated. The grafting was estimated by weight, and the grafted copolymers were characterized by FT/IR, DSC and SEM to prove the grafting. It has found that the grafting increases with increase monomer and initiator concentrations. The increase in the reaction temperature and time also causes increasing levels of the grafted St and MA.展开更多

The processes were carried out at high temperature of 120 ℃ for 6 h in air atmosphere (inert protection free) with reduced pressure distillation (0.08--0.096 MPa). The results of FT-IR, UV-Vis, TGA, and intrinsic viscosity testing by Ubbelodhe viscometer showed that the prepared HBPAEs possess three-dimensional configuration with unsaturated conjugate structure, large numbers of branches and numerous terminal hydroxyl groups. These result in their low viscosity, high solubility and thermal stability.
文摘Waste tire powder, as waste rubber WR was subjected to grafting with styrene (St) and maleic anhydride (MA). Hydrogen peroxide H2O2 was used to initiate the free radical copolymerization of St onto WR. A thermal initiation was used in case of grafting of MA onto WR. Effect of initiator and monomer concentrations together with the influence of reaction temperature and reaction time were investigated. The grafting was estimated by weight, and the grafted copolymers were characterized by FT/IR, DSC and SEM to prove the grafting. It has found that the grafting increases with increase monomer and initiator concentrations. The increase in the reaction temperature and time also causes increasing levels of the grafted St and MA.
