In this work, the authors have developed a three-dimensional thermo-fluid dynamic model to simulate airflow and thermal comfort in an actual OR equipped with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters. The model takes into account the presence of surgical lights, people and equipment within the room. An experimental campaign is carried out inside the actual OR to measure velocity and temperature, to be employed as boundary conditions for the numerical model. The experimental data have also been used to validate the numerical results. The validated model has been used to analyze the effects of human shape, thermal boundary conditions and buoyancy forces on the main thermal and fluid dynamic quantities in the OR. The thermal comfort is evaluated based on Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) and Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD) indices. The results prove that the present experimental-numerical approach is useful to analyze and improve the thermal comfort conditions for medical staff and patient.展开更多

The possible electronic state and reasonable dissociation limit of the ground state of LaF are determined based on atomic and molecular reaction statics. Potential energy curve scans for the ground state X 1∑+ have been performed at B3LYP and CCSD(T) levels, due to their better results of harmonic frequency and bond dissociation energy. We find that the potential energy calculated with CCSD(T) is about 0.6 eV larger than the bond dissociation energy, when the internuclear distance is as large as 0.8 nm. The problem that single-reference ab initio methods do not meet dissociation limit during calculations of lanthanide heavy-metal elements is analyzed. We propose the calculation scheme to derive the analytical Murrell-Sorbie potential energy function. Vibrotational spectroscopic constants Be, ωe, ωeχe, αe, βe, De and He obtained by the standard Dunham treatment coincide well with the results of rotational analyses on spectroscopic experiments.展开更多

Methods: Human ovarian cancer HO-8910 cells were cultured in vitro. Inhibitory effect of LAF on the viability of HO-8910 cells was evaluated by the MTT assay. Apoptotic effect of different concentrations of LAF on HO-8910 cells was assessed by AO/EB staining and FCM with propidium iodide (PI) staining. Expression of proteins related to apoptosis was analyzed by Western blot. Results: LAF significantly inhibited the viability of HO-8910 cells proliferation in a dose-dependent and time-dependent manner, there were statistical significance compared with NS group (P 〈 0.05), and the ICso was 4.28 pg/mL for 48 h. The cells treated with LAF showed typical morphological change and apoptotic rate increased by FCM in a dose-dependent, and there was notable dif- ference compared with NS group (P 〈 0.05). Western blot showed that expression of Fas, caspase-8, tBid and Cyto-c proteins were up-regulated after treatment with LAF for 48 h in a concentration dependent. Conclusion: LAF could inhibit HO-8910 cells proliferation and induce apoptosis, which may be through the pathway of death receptor in vitro.展开更多
