A dynamic model is established for an offset-disc rotor system with a mechanical gear coupling, which takes into consideration the nonlinear restoring force of rotor support and the effect of coupling misalignment. Periodic solutions are obtained through harmonic balance method with alternating frequency/time domain(HB-AFT) technique, and then compared with the results of numerical simulation. Good agreement confirms the feasibility of HB-AFT scheme. Moreover, the Floquet theory is adopted to analyze motion stability of the system when rotor runs at different speed intervals. A simple strategy to determine the monodromy matrix is introduced and two ways towards unstability are found for periodic solutions: the period doubling bifurcation and the secondary Hopf bifurcation. The results obtained will contribute to the global response analysis and dynamic optimal design of rotor systems. 展开更多

The complete model derivation of the SEPIC converter system has been presented in different modes of operation. Steady state and small signal analysis was carried out on the converter dynamic equations using the method of Harmonic balance Technique. The steady state variables and their respective ripple quantities obtained were plotted against duty ratio D. The results obtained for a supply input voltage of 60 volts to the converter at a duty ratio of D = 0.8 , compares well with simulation results. 展开更多

近些年,很多学者致力于利用非线性增强振动响应减少的效果或者能量采集器的效率.因而非线性系统的响应值需要从理论计算方面更准确地预测.另外,根据学者已取得的研究成就,非线性能量汇(NES)中存在的立方刚度非线性可以将结构中宽频域的... 近些年,很多学者致力于利用非线性增强振动响应减少的效果或者能量采集器的效率.因而非线性系统的响应值需要从理论计算方面更准确地预测.另外,根据学者已取得的研究成就,非线性能量汇(NES)中存在的立方刚度非线性可以将结构中宽频域的振动能量传递至非线性振子部分.文章将一种由NES和压电能量采集器组成的NES-piezo装置与两自由度主结构耦合连接,系统受谐和激励作用.文章采用谐波平衡法和复平均法分别推导了系统稳态响应,参照数值结果,对比两种近似解析方法在求解强非线性系统稳态响应时的异同.计算结果表明,系统体现较弱非线性时,二者计算结果差异很小;当系统体现强非线性时,复平均法不能准确地呈现系统高阶响应,提高阶数的谐波平衡法能更准确地表示系统响应值.基于谐波平衡法和数值算法,讨论NES-piezo装置对于系统宽频域减振的影响.与仅加入非线性能量汇情况对比,结果表明NES-piezo装置不会恶化宽频域减振效果,并且在第一阶共振频率附近,可以稍微提高结构减振效率.另外,计算结果也表明,采用恰当的NES-piezo装置可实现宽频域范围的结构减振和压电能量采集一体化.此项研究工作为研究不同情形强非线性系统的响应提供了理论方法的指导.另外,研究结果也为宽频域范围的结构减振和压电能量采集一体化提供了理论依据. 展开更多

Harmonic Balance Methods:A Review and Recent Developments

The harmonic balance(HB)method is one of the most commonly used methods for solving periodic solutions of both weakly and strongly nonlinear dynamical systems.However,it is confined to low-order approximations due to complex symbolic operations.Many variants have been developed to improve the HB method,among which the time domain HB-like methods are regarded as crucial improvements because of their fast computation and simple derivation.So far,there are two problems remaining to be addressed.i)A dozen of different versions of HB-like methods,in frequency domain or time domain or in hybrid,have been developed;unfortunately,misclassification pervades among them due to the unclear borderlines of different methods.ii)The time domain HB-like methods suffer from non-physical solutions,which have been shown to be caused by aliasing(mixture of the high-order into the low-order harmonics).Although a series of dealiasing techniques have been developed over the past two decades,the mechanism of aliasing and the final solution to dealiasing are still not well known to the academic community.This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the development of HB-like methods and enunciate their principal differences.In particular,the time domain methods are emphasized with the famous aliasing phenomenon clearly addressed. 展开更多

谐波平衡法是求解非线性动力学系统周期解的最常用方法,但对非线性项进行高阶近似需要庞杂的公式推导,限制了该方法的超高精度解算.通过对频域非线性量的时域等价重构,提出了重构谐波平衡法(RHB法),解决了经典谐波平衡法超高阶次计算难... 谐波平衡法是求解非线性动力学系统周期解的最常用方法,但对非线性项进行高阶近似需要庞杂的公式推导,限制了该方法的超高精度解算.通过对频域非线性量的时域等价重构,提出了重构谐波平衡法(RHB法),解决了经典谐波平衡法超高阶次计算难题.然而,上述两种方法均要求动力学系统为多项式型非线性,且无法直接用来求解非线性系统的拟周期解.针对上述问题,文章提出一种将RHB法和复杂非线性系统等价重铸法相结合的计算方法,首先将一般非线性问题无损重铸为多项式型非线性系统,然后用RHB法进行高精度求解;针对拟周期响应求解问题,提出基于“补频”思想的RHB方法,通过基频的优化筛选,实现拟周期响应的快速精准捕捉.选取非线性单摆、相对论谐振子和非线性耦合非对称摆等典型系统进行仿真计算,仿真结果表明,所提出的RHB-重铸法在解非多项式型非线性系统的稳态响应时精度保持为10^(-12)量级,达计算机精度,远超现有方法水平.补频RHB法则实现了对拟周期问题的高效解算,拓宽了方法对真实物理响应的求解范围. 展开更多

The first-passage failure of a single-degree-of-freedom hysteretic system with non- local memory is investigated. The hysteretic behavior is described through a Preisach model with excitation selected as Gaussian white noise. First, the equivalent nonlinear non-hysteretic sys- tem with amplitude-dependent damping and stiffness coefficients is derived through generalized harmonic balance technique. Then, equivalent damping and stiffness coefficients are expressed as functions of system energy by using the relation of amplitude to system energy. The stochastic aver- aging of energy envelope is adopted to accept the averaged It5 stochastic differential equation with respect to system energy. The establishing and solving of the associated backward Kolmogorov equation yields the reliability function and probability density of first-passage time. The effects of system parameters on first-passage failure are investigated concisely and validated through Monte Carlo simulation. 展开更多
