Therefore, data-driven methods toward solving such prob- lems are being extensively studied. Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is one of these data-driven methods and is regarded as real artificial intelligence (AI). DRL is a combination of deep learning (DL) and reinforcement learning (RL). This field of research has been applied to solve a wide range of complex sequential decision-making problems, including those in power systems. This paper firstly reviews the basic ideas, models, algorithms and techniques of DRL. Applications in power systems such as energy management, demand response, electricity market, operational control, and others are then considered. In addition, recent advances in DRL including the combination of RL with other classical methods, and the prospect and challenges of applications in power systems are also discussed.展开更多

We show that this element has anisotropic behavior and derive anisotropic error estimations in some certain norms of the velocity and the pressure based on some novel techniques. Especially through careful analysis we get an interesting result on consistency error estimation, which has never been seen for mixed finite element methods in the previously literatures.展开更多

The continuity equation was discretized with the finitevolume method. And the momentum equations were differently simplified and discretized for differentcases. A method of ''special passage'' was proposed to deal with small-scale rivers and open channels. The urban drainage system was simplified and simulated in the model. The method of ''open slot'' wasapplied to coordinate the alternate calculation of open channel flow and pressure flow in drainagepipes. The model has been applied in Tianjin City and the verification is quite satisfactory.展开更多

Control and coordination of a large number of distributed energy assets requires innovative approaches. Transactive control has received much attention due to its decentralized decision-making and transparent characteristics. This paper introduces the concept and main features of transactive control, followed by a literature review and demonstration projects that apply to transactive control. Cases are then presented to illustrate the transactive control framework. At the end, discussions and research directions are presented, for applying transactive control to operating power systems, characterized by a high penetration of distributed energy resources.展开更多
