Wind tunnel testing are conducted under different back pressures in a vacuum-type wind tunnel for two supersonic jet oscillators, to obtain their characteristics and the conditions for jet oscillating. The experimental results show that the continuous, nearly symmetric or asymmetric flipping between the two cavities appears over certain nozzle pressure ratio (NPR) range for both oscillators according to schlieren visualizations. Compared to the free jet, the oscillating jet with large exit achieves larger mixing; the oscillating jet with small exit has less mixing, based on the analysis of jet axial peak velocity and the entrainment. The cross-junction mode for estimating the resonance frequency in a pipe with two closed side branches is modified and obtained comparable estimations of the frequency of jet flipping with experimental data, but further investigations are needed to discover the underlying mechanism for the jet flipping.展开更多

A high-efficiency system was designed as an improvement in conventional reel-to-reel system for ion beam-assisted deposition(IBAD) and homo-epitaxy of double-sided biaxially textured MgO thin films.This system enables...A high-efficiency system was designed as an improvement in conventional reel-to-reel system for ion beam-assisted deposition(IBAD) and homo-epitaxy of double-sided biaxially textured MgO thin films.This system enables Hastelloy tape to flip automatically and go through the deposition area twice in order to deposit MgO on its both sides.With this system,the output of doublesided IB AD-MgO is elevated to be 30 m·h^(-1).A 30-m tapes with 10-nm-thick double-sided biaxially textured MgO thin films was successfully made.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and atomic force microscope(AFM) show identical quality of MgO thin films on both sides.The yield full width at half maximum values of out-of-plane texture and in-plane texture on both sides are approximately 3.1° and 5.3°,respectively.Moreover,the influence of ion beam flux and deposition rate on the texture of thin film was investigated.A process window in which biaxial texture can be obtained is found for large-scale production.展开更多
Tabletop integral imaging display with a more realistic and immersive experience has always been a hot spot in three-dimensional imaging technology,widely used in biomedical imaging and visualization to enhance medica...Tabletop integral imaging display with a more realistic and immersive experience has always been a hot spot in three-dimensional imaging technology,widely used in biomedical imaging and visualization to enhance medical diagnosis.However,the traditional structural characteristics of integral imaging display inevitably introduce the flipping effect outside the effective viewing angle.Here,a full-parallax tabletop integral imaging display without the flipping effect based on space-multiplexed voxel screen and compound lens array is demonstrated,and two holographic functional screens with different parameters are optically designed and fabricated.To eliminate the flipping effect in the reconstruction process,the space-multiplexed voxel screen consisting of a projector array and the holographic functional screen is presented to constrain light beams passing through the corresponding lens.To greatly promote imaging quality within the viewing area,the aspherical structure of the compound lens is optimized to balance the aberrations.It cooperates with the holographic functional screen to modulate the light field spatial distribution.Compared with the simulation results,the distortion rate of the imaging display is reduced to less than 9%from more than 30%.In the experiment,the floating high-quality reconstructed three-dimensional image without the flipping effect can be observed with the correct 3D perception at 96°×96°viewing angle,where 44,100 viewpoints are employed.展开更多

However, CFP cannot he used in a system with many users like in a group environment system. A transmutation of CFP named T-CFP is proposed in this paper. The precondition of T-CFP is the system's user trusts the system center and center's cheating is meaningless at the same time. The significant difference between CFP and T-CFP is that CFP supports only two users while T-CFP can support many users to exchange special information. An energy-based anisotropic domain rotation model, assuming that the interaction between domains can be ignored and the probability of the magnetic moment pointing along a particular direction is related to the free energy along this direction, is used to simulate the magnetostriction versus magnetic field and stress curve and to track the magnetic domain motion trail. The main reason for loading path dependent effect is the rotation/flipping of the magnetic domains under different loading paths. The effect of loading and unloading paths on 90° magnetic domain motion was studied by choosing different loading and unloading state and paths. The results show that prior loading magnetic field can make the 90° magnetic domains flip to the directions of 45°domains because the magnetic field is the driving force to make the domains rotate, and the final loading state and the loading path both have great influence on the motion of 90° magnetic domains.展开更多

During active demethylation, 5-methylcytosine (5mC) was oxidized ste...DNA methylation is an essential epigenetic modification, and found to be dynamically changed due to the ob- servation of active DNA demethylation. During active demethylation, 5-methylcytosine (5mC) was oxidized step- wise by ten-eleven translocation (TET) enzymes into 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmc), 5-formylcytosine (5fC), and 5-carboxylcytosine (5caC). Then, the subsequent excision of 5fC and 5caC combined with base excision repair further restored cytosine, which completes the demethylation process. Here, we report that 5-formylcytosine and 5-carboxylcytosine significantly reduce the activity of HhaI DNA methyltransferase to methylate target cytosines when present on the hemi-modified sequence of the complementary DNA. This finding demonstrates that 5fC and 5caC function as more than intermediates for active DNA demethylation.展开更多
