The most typical, successful and widely used TBCs material is yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ). In this paper, fabrication methods, coating structures, materials, failure mechanism and major challenges of YSZ TBCs are introduced and reviewed. The research tendency is put forward as well. This review provides a good understanding of the YSZ TBCs and inspires researchers to discover versatile ideas to improve the TBCs systems.展开更多
Cu–Mn bimetal catalysts were prepared to remove nitrogen oxides(NOx)from diesel engine exhaust at low temperatures.At a Cu/Mn ratio of 3:2,the NOx conversions at 200°C reached 65%and 90%on Cu–Mn/ZSM‐5 and Cu–...Cu–Mn bimetal catalysts were prepared to remove nitrogen oxides(NOx)from diesel engine exhaust at low temperatures.At a Cu/Mn ratio of 3:2,the NOx conversions at 200°C reached 65%and 90%on Cu–Mn/ZSM‐5 and Cu–Mn/SAPO‐34,respectively.After a hydrothermal treatment and reaction in the presence of C3H6,the activity of Cu–Mn/SAPO‐34 was more stable than that of Cu–Mn/ZSM‐5.No obvious variations in the crystal structure or dealumination were observed,whereas the physical structure was best maintained in Cu–Mn/SAPO‐34.The atomic concentration of Cu on the surface of Cu–Mn/SAPO‐34 was quite stable,and the consumption of octahedrally coordinated Cu2+could be recovered.Conversely,the proportion of octahedrally coordinated Cu2+on the surface of Cu–Mn/ZSM‐5 significantly decreased.Therefore,besides the structure,the redox cycle between Cu+and octahedrally coordinated Cu2+played an important role in the stability of the catalysts.展开更多

The frequency response characterist...The atomization dynamic characteristics of a simplex swirl injector was investigated experimentally by using a hydrodynamic mechanical pulsator and the shadow photography technique. The frequency response characteristics of the fluid film and atomization fluctuations and their correlations with pressure fluctuations were obtained by using an in-house code of image processing. It is demonstrated that the klystron effect induced by periodic pressure fluctuations results in periodic liquid film fluctuation with large amplitudes, periodic superposition of droplets and reduction of the breakup length. It was found that the atomization of the simplex swirl injector only responds to the pressure fluctuation in frequency range approximately from 0 to 300 Hz, and it is particularly sensitive to pressure fluctuations at frequencies from 100 to 200 Hz. According to this experiment, the responsive frequency limitation is merely affected by injector configuration, rather than the supply line.展开更多
In order to explore the total-pressure distortion test assessment method for a turbofan engine, a Controlled Variable Double-Baffle Distortion Generator(CVDBDG) with a horizontal symmetry moving form was developed, wh...In order to explore the total-pressure distortion test assessment method for a turbofan engine, a Controlled Variable Double-Baffle Distortion Generator(CVDBDG) with a horizontal symmetry moving form was developed, which can adjust the steady-state and time–variant distortion separately in real time. The inlet total-pressure distortion test was conducted on an afterburner turbofan engine. The distortion parameters of CVDBDG and the instability characteristics of the engine were measured. The experimental data were modeled and analyzed by using back propagation artificial neural networks, and the work envelope of CVDBDG was obtained. Based on the analysis of the data on the engine’s instability, the properties of CVDBDG used for the stability assessment were preliminarily evaluated. The results show that CVDBDG can simulate both steady-state and time–variant distortions simultaneously in a range determined by three envelopes.Under the condition of symmetric double baffles, a critical depth of insertion exists, beyond which the symmetric baffles will generate an asymmetric flow field. In the case of double baffles, compared to a single baffle, the engine exhibited different instability characteristics. Based on CVDBDG, it is expected that more efficient engine stability and durability assessment methods can be developed.展开更多
