The composite coatings dis... Graphene (G) was dispersed uniformly in water and used as an inhibitor in waterborne epoxy coatings. The effect of dispersed G on anticorrosion performance of epoxy coatings was evaluated. The composite coatings displayed outstanding barrier properties against H20 molecule compared to the neat epoxy coating. Open circuit potential (OCP), Tafel and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis confirmed that the corrosion rate exhibited by composite coatings with 0.5 wt% G was an order of magnitude lower than that of neat epoxy coating. Salt spray test results revealed superior corrosion resistance offered by the composite coating. 展开更多

Portable electronic devices(PEDs)are promising information-exchange platforms for real-time responses.Their performance is becoming more and more sensitive to energy consumption.Rechargeable batteries are the primary energy source of PEDs and hold the key to guarantee their desired performance stability.With the remarkable progress in battery technologies,multifunctional PEDs have constantly been emerging to meet the requests of our daily life conveniently.The ongoing surge in demand for high-performance PEDs inspires the relentless pursuit of even more powerful rechargeable battery systems in turn.In this review,we present how battery technologies contribute to the fast rise of PEDs in the last decades.First,a comprehensive overview of historical advances in PEDs is outlined.Next,four types of representative rechargeable batteries and their impacts on the practical development of PEDs are described comprehensively.The development trends toward a new generation of batteries and the future research focuses are also presented. 展开更多

Rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors are widely investigated as the most important electrochemical energy storage devices nowadays due to the booming energy demand for electric vehicles and hand-held electronics. The large surface-area-to-volume ratio and internal surface areas endow two-dimensional(2D) materials with high mobility and high energy density; therefore, 2D materials are very promising candidates for Li ion batteries and supercapacitors with comprehensive investigations. In 2011, a new kind of 2D transition metal carbides, nitrides and carbonitrides, MXene, were successfully obtained from MAX phases. Since then about 20 different kinds of MXene have been prepared. Other precursors besides MAX phases and even other methods such as chemical vapor deposition(CVD) were also applied to prepare MXene, opening new doors for the preparation of new MXene. Their 2D nature and good electronic properties ensure the inherent advantages as electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage. In this review, we summarize the recent progress in the development of MXene with emphasis on the applications to electrochemical energy storage. Also, future perspective and challenges of MXene-based materials are briefly discussed regrading electrochemical energy storage. 展开更多

The objective of this review paper is to highlight the current and recently developed methods for oily wastewater treatment through which contaminants such as oil, fats, grease, and inorganics can be removed for safe applications.These include electrochemical treatment, membrane filtration, biological treatment,hybrid technologies, use of biosurfactants, treatment via vacuum ultraviolet radiation,and destabilization of emulsions through the use of zeolites and other natural minerals.This review encompasses innovative and novel approaches to oily wastewater treatment and provides scientific background for future work that will be aimed at reducing the adverse impact of the discharge of oily wastewater into the environment. The current challenges affecting the optimal performance of oily wastewater treatment methods and opportunities for future research development in this field are also discussed. 展开更多

Lithium-ion batteries (LIB) have received substantial attention in the last 10 years,as they offer great promise as power sources that can lead to the electric vehicle (EV) revolution in the next 5 years.Since the cathode serves as a key component in LIB,its properties significantly affect the performance of the whole system.Recently,the cathode surface modification based on coating technique has been widely employed to enhance the electrochemical performances by improving the material conductivity,stabilising the physical structure of materials,as well as preventing the reactions between the electrode and electrolyte.In this work,we reviewed the present of a number of promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries.After that,we summarized the very recent research progress focusing on the surface coating strategies,mainly including the coating materials,the coating technologies,as well as the corresponding working mechanisms for cathodes.At last,the challenges faced and future guidelines for optimizing cathode materials are discussed.In this study,we propose that the structure of cathode is a crucial factor during the selection of coating materials and technologies. 展开更多

Pseudocapacitive materials generally offer both high capacitance and high rate capability, which has stimulated great efforts in developing the materials system and related energy storage devices. In recent years, however, with the extensive use of nanomaterials in batteries, fast redox kinetics comparable to pseudocapacitive have been achieved in many kinds of battery materials due to the much shortened ion diffusion lengths and highly exposed surface/interface as a result of nanosize effect. Consequently, the terms"pseudocapacitive materials" and "battery materials" are becoming more and more confusing. In this review, different opinions on the definition of pseudocapacitive materials and the evolution of the definitions as well as the resulting confusion will be firstly reviewed. Then, to accurately distinguish pseudocapacitive and battery materials, method with the consideration of both the electrochemical signatures(CVs and GCD) and quantitative kinetics analysis as a supplement is proposed. Finally, we end this review by discussing the possible device configurations of asymmetric supercapacitors and hybrid supercapacitors. The present review will help understanding the differences between pseudocapacitive materials and battery materials, and thus avoiding the definition confusion. 展开更多

针对热挤压成型对钛合金管的内表面会产生微裂纹、褶皱、毛刺等表面缺陷的问题,提出了一种高效率的电化学磁力研磨复合光整加工方法。设计了电化学磁力研磨复合光整加工的实验装置,分别与纯磁力研磨加工和纯电化学加工进行了光整加工试... 针对热挤压成型对钛合金管的内表面会产生微裂纹、褶皱、毛刺等表面缺陷的问题,提出了一种高效率的电化学磁力研磨复合光整加工方法。设计了电化学磁力研磨复合光整加工的实验装置,分别与纯磁力研磨加工和纯电化学加工进行了光整加工试验对比,检测分析了不同工艺加工前后表面的粗糙度、微观形貌、摩擦磨损行为、表面残余应力和能量谱。结果表明:在相同的加工时间内,与单纯电化学加工和磁力研磨加工相比,电化学磁力研磨复合光整加工的表面粗糙度Ra可达到0.2μm,材料去除量和加工效率显著提高;表面显微形貌要明显优于其他两种加工方式;且加工后表面很好地维持了原有材料的化学成分和表面性质;能够使表面由拉应力转变为约–200 MPa的压应力状态,从而获得更好的表面应力状态。 展开更多

Because of several advantages, such as no tool wear, independence on the mechanical properties of the material, and high machining efficiency, electrochemical machining(ECM) has become a viable method for machining components in numerous industrial applications, particularly in the manufacture of typical aero-engine components with complex structures fabricated from materials that are difficult to cut. This paper highlights the current developments, new trends, and technological advances of key factors of ECM, such as electrochemical dissolution characteristics of novel difficult to cut materials which are often used in aero-engine, numerical simulation of electrochemical process, design for the complex profile and structure of cathode tool, flow field simulation and design for uniform electrolyte flow, and innovation of electrochemical machining or hybrid methods which reflect the state of the art in academic and industrial research on electrochemical machining in aero-engine manufacturing. 展开更多

316L不锈钢试样在空气中放置24 h后在含Cl-醋酸溶液(0.2%KCl,60%的醋酸,85℃)中能自钝化,自腐蚀电位为100 mV;经阴极极化后的试样在实验周期内在含Cl-醋酸溶液中不能自钝化,其自腐蚀电位为(-242±3)mV;经阳极极化形成的钝化膜比... 316L不锈钢试样在空气中放置24 h后在含Cl-醋酸溶液(0.2%KCl,60%的醋酸,85℃)中能自钝化,自腐蚀电位为100 mV;经阴极极化后的试样在实验周期内在含Cl-醋酸溶液中不能自钝化,其自腐蚀电位为(-242±3)mV;经阳极极化形成的钝化膜比在空气中自然形成的钝化膜更致密.测试了空气中钝化24 h以及阴极极化、阳极极化后,试样在醋酸溶液中自腐蚀电位随时间变化的曲线;结合阴极、阳极极化曲线, SEM观察和XPS成分分析,发现Cr是组成钝化膜并增加钝化膜稳定性的重要元素,而Mo是在钝化膜发生活性溶解或者被击穿时于表面富集的元素,可导致该区域电位升高,从而阻止腐蚀发生.初步探讨了316L不锈钢在含Cl-醋酸溶液中的腐蚀电化学行为和点腐蚀发生的机理. 展开更多

目前冷却循环水的处理方式主要局限在除垢方面且除垢效果有限,在阻垢方面少有报道。为了解决这一问题,本文提出了一种电化学法处理冷却循环水的新技术。采用自制电解系统对模拟循环水进行高频电场处理,通过调整电化学参数得到了最佳工... 目前冷却循环水的处理方式主要局限在除垢方面且除垢效果有限,在阻垢方面少有报道。为了解决这一问题,本文提出了一种电化学法处理冷却循环水的新技术。采用自制电解系统对模拟循环水进行高频电场处理,通过调整电化学参数得到了最佳工艺条件,并深入分析了工艺机理。在实验研究基础上本装置在某企业进行了中试,进一步验证及完善了工艺条件。得出当电流为16 A、电压为5 V、极板间距为75 mm、流量为1000 m3/h时处理效果最佳。研究结果表明:该工艺具有极佳的阻垢效果;可使老化水垢松软便于剥离去除,表现出很好的除垢效果;可有效改变沉积物的晶型;方便高效,绿色环保。 展开更多

The effects of CeO2 on microstructure and corrosion resistance of TiC-VC reinforced Fe-based laser cladding layers were investigated. The results showed that carbides presented in cladding layers were TiVC2 and VC. A small quantity of CeC appeared with 2.0 wt.% CeO2 addition. The amount of lamellar pearlite increased while the amount of residual austenite decreased with increasing CeO2 addition. The corrosion resistance of cladding layers increased firstly and then decreased with the addition of CeO2 increasing. The EIS spectrum of the cladding layer without CeO2 was composed of an inductive arc at low frequency and a capacitive arc at high frequency. The cladding layer with 0.5 wt.% CeO2 addition showed the best corrosion resistance, and then the inductive arc at low frequency transformed into a capacitive arc. 展开更多

Ti/Sb-SnO2 anodes were prepared by thermal decomposition to examine the influence of the amount of Sb dopant on the structure and electrocatalytic capability of the electrodes in the oxidation of 4-chlorophenol. The physicochemical properties of the Sb-SnO2 coating were markedly influenced by different amounts of Sb dopant. The electrodes, which contained 5% Sb dopant in the coating, presented a much more homogenous surface and much smaller mud-cracks, compared with Ti/Sb-SnO2 electrodes containing 10% or 15% Sb dopant, which exibited larger mud cracks and pores on the surface. However, the main microstructure remained unchanged with the addition of the Sb dopant. No new crystal phase was observed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrochemical oxidation of 4-chlorophenol on the Ti/SnO2 electrode with 5% Sb dopant was inclined to electrochemical combustion; while for those containing more Sb dopant, intermediate species were accumulated. The electrodes with 5% Sb dopant showed the highest efficiency in the bulk electrolysis of 4-chlorophenol at a current density of 20 mA/cm^2 for 180 min; and the removal rates of 4-chlorophenol and COD were 51.0% and 48.9%, respectively. 展开更多
