This paper investigates a time-varying anti-disturbance formation problem for a group of quadrotor aircrafts with time-varying uncertainties and a directed interaction topology.A novel Finite-Time Convergent Extended State Observer(FTCESO)based fully-distributed formation control scheme is proposed to enhance the disturbance rejection and the formation tracking performances for networked quadrotors.By adopting the hierarchical control strategy,the multiquadrotor system is separated into two subsystems:the outer-loop cooperative subsystem and the inner-loop attitude subsystem.In the outer-loop subsystem,with the estimation of disturbing forces and uncertain dynamics from FTCESOs,an adaptive consensus theory based cooperative controller is exploited to ensure the multiple quadrotors form and maintain a time-varying pattern relying only on the positions of the neighboring aircrafts.In the inner-loop subsystem,the desired attitude generated by the cooperative control law is stably tracked under a FTCESO-based attitude controller in a finite time.Based on a detailed algorithm to specify the cooperative control protocol,the feasibility condition to achieve the time-varying anti-disturbance formation tracking is derived and the rigorous analysis of the whole closed-loop multi-quadrotor system is given.Some numerical examples are conducted to intuitively demonstrate the effectiveness and the improvements of the proposed control framework. 展开更多

This paper considers the human-in-the-loop leader-following consensus control problem of multi-agent systems(MASs)with unknown matched nonlinear functions and actuator faults.It is assumed that a human operator controls the MASs via sending the command signal to a non-autonomous leader which generates the desired trajectory.Moreover,the leader’s input is nonzero and not available to all followers.By using neural networks and fault estimators to approximate unknown nonlinear dynamics and identify the actuator faults,respectively,the neighborhood observer-based neural fault-tolerant controller with dynamic coupling gains is designed.It is proved that the state of each follower can synchronize with the leader’s state under a directed graph and all signals in the closed-loop system are guaranteed to be cooperatively uniformly ultimately bounded.Finally,simulation results are presented for verifying the effectiveness of the proposed control method. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the cooperative target tracking of multiple autonomous surface vehicles(ASVs)under switching interaction topologies.For the target to be tracked,only its position can be measured/received by some of the ASVs,and its velocity is unavailable to all the ASVs.A distributed extended state observer taking into consideration switching topologies is designed to integrally estimate unknown target dynamics and neighboring ASVs'dynamics.Accordingly,a novel kinematic controller is designed,which takes full advantage of known information and avoids the approximation of some virtual control vectors.Moreover,a disturbance observer is presented to estimate unknown time-varying environmental disturbance.Furthermore,a distributed dynamic controller is designed to regulate the involved ASVs to cooperatively track the target.It enables each ASV to adjust its forces and moments according to the received information from its neighbors.The effectiveness of the derived results is demonstrated through cooperative target tracking performance analysis for a tracking system composed of five interacting ASVs. 展开更多

To investigate the leader-following formation control, in this paper we present the design problem of control protocols and distributed observers under which the agents can achieve and maintain the desired formation from any initial states, while the velocity converges to that of the virtual leader whose velocity cannot be measured by agents in real time. The two cases of switching topologies without communication delay and fixed topology with time-varying communication delay are both considered for multi-agent networks. By using the Lyapunov stability theory, the issue of stability is analysed for multi-agent systems with switching topologies. Then, by considering the time-varying communication delay, the sufficient condition is proposed for the multi-agent systems with fixed topology. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed leader-following formation control protocols. 展开更多

The issue of output constraints is studied for a flexible-link manipulator in the presence of unknown spatially distributed disturbances. The manipulator can be taken as an Euler-Bernoulli beam and its dynamic is expressed by partial differential equations. On account of the uncertainty of disturbances, we present a disturbance observer to estimate infinite dimensional disturbances on the beam. The observer is proven exponentially stable. Considering the problem of output constraints in the practical engineering, we propose a novel distributed vibration controller based on the disturbance observer to fulfill the position regulation of the joint angle and suppress elastic deflections on the flexible link, while confining the regulating errors of output in a suitable scope that we can assign. The closed-loop system is demonstrated exponentially stable based on an integral-barrier Lyapunov function. Simulations validate the effectiveness of the design scheme. 展开更多

Suppose that states of agents can not be obtained directly. Several estimators are designed to observe states of agents and the unknown disturbances. A protocol is proposed to drive all agents achieve consensus. Based on the method of model transforniation and the property of permutation matrix, sufficient conditions for consensus are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities. This paper addresses a multicircular circumnavigation control for UAVs with desired angular spacing around a nonstationary target.By defining a coordinated error relative to neighboring angular spacing,under the premise that target information is perfectly accessible by all nodes,a centralized circular enclosing control strategy is derived for multiple UAVs connected by an undirected graph to allow for formation behaviors concerning the moving target.Besides,to avoid the requirement of target’s states being accessible for each UAV,fixed-time distributed observers are introduced to acquire the state estimates in a fixed-time sense,and the upper boundary of settling time can be determined offline irrespective of initial properties,greatly releasing the burdensome communication traffic.Then,with the aid of fixed-time distributed observers,a distributed circular circumnavigation controller is derived to force all UAVs to collaboratively evolve along the preset circles while keeping a desired angular spacing.It is inferred from Lyapunov stability that all errors are demonstrated to be convergent.Simulations are offered to verify the utility of proposed protocol. 展开更多

护航策略一直是各军事大国的重点研究内容之一,拒止环境具有强电磁干扰、强对抗博弈等特点,进而对护航策略提出了更高的要求。提出了一种基于分布式时变编队跟踪控制方法的护航策略,该策略中由高成本长机探测到敌方来袭导弹,在进行规避... 护航策略一直是各军事大国的重点研究内容之一,拒止环境具有强电磁干扰、强对抗博弈等特点,进而对护航策略提出了更高的要求。提出了一种基于分布式时变编队跟踪控制方法的护航策略,该策略中由高成本长机探测到敌方来袭导弹,在进行规避的同时,释放多个低成本僚机担任“忠诚僚机”。采用时变编队跟踪的控制方法,使僚机始终处于长机与敌方来袭导弹的视线轴上,必要时牺牲僚机以保全长机。针对敌方来袭导弹的方位角是全局信息,设计了分布式观测器对其进行估计。在拒止环境下,复杂电磁干扰带来通信时断时续,导致长机与僚机及僚机与僚机之间的通信拓扑存在切换。为应对电磁干扰对通信拓扑的破坏,提高抗电磁干扰能力,考虑僚机外部扰动和长机规避机动动作同时存在的情况,基于观测器理论、自适应控制理论和滑模控制理论,构造了具体通信拓扑切换机制的分布式控制协议,并利用Lyapunov理论证明了僚机采用该协议能够实现拒止环境下基于“忠诚僚机”的护航策略。通过仿真模拟导弹来袭场景,验证了所提策略的有效性。 展开更多

This paper investigates the distributed fixed-time attitude coordinated control problem for multiple spacecraft subject to actuator saturation under the directed topology. First, a distributed fixed-time observer is presented for each follower spacecraft to estimate the leader spacecraft’s states. Compared with the commonly used fixed-time observer, the settling time of the proposed fixed-time observer can be easily adjusted by some free design parameters. Next, a distributed fixed-time control scheme is derived by using the estimates of the leader spacecraft’s states and the adding a power integrator technique. When considering actuator saturation, an auxiliary system is utilized to compensate the saturation. Further, a rigorous theoretical proof is provided to show that the practical fixed-time stability of the closed-loop system is ensured. Finally, simulation results illustrate the benefits and effectiveness of the developed control scheme. 展开更多

We investigate a distributed game strategy for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)formations with external disturbances and obstacles.The strategy is based on a distributed model predictive control(MPC)framework and Levy flight based pigeon inspired optimization(LFPIO).First,we propose a non-singular fast terminal sliding mode observer(NFTSMO)to estimate the influence of a disturbance,and prove that the observer converges in fixed time using a Lyapunov function.Second,we design an obstacle avoidance strategy based on topology reconstruction,by which the UAV can save energy and safely pass obstacles.Third,we establish a distributed MPC framework where each UAV exchanges messages only with its neighbors.Further,the cost function of each UAV is designed,by which the UAV formation problem is transformed into a game problem.Finally,we develop LFPIO and use it to solve the Nash equilibrium.Numerical simulations are conducted,and the efficiency of LFPIO based distributed MPC is verified through comparative simulations. 展开更多

The problem of distributed coordinated tracking control for networked Euler-Lagrange systems without velocity measurements is investigated. Under the condition that only a portion of the followers have access to the leader, sliding mode estimators are developed to estimate the states of the dynamic leader in finite time. To cope with the absence of velocity measurements, the distributed observers which only use position information are designed. Based on the outputs of the estimators and observers, distributed tracking control laws are proposed such that all the fol- lowers with parameter uncertainties can track the dynamic leader under a directed graph containing a spanning tree. It is shown that the distributed observer-controller guarantees asymptotical stability of the closed-loop system. Numerical simulations are worked out to illustrate the effectiveness of the control laws. 展开更多

Over the past few decades, distributed observer theory has attracted unprecedented attention due to its wide potential applications in different areas. Meanwhile, various approaches and algorithms have been proposed and investigated. The design of distributed observers is one of the frontier topics of system and control research, which has the significant theoretical values and broad application prospects. This paper attempts to review the representative models and the corresponding approaches for distributed observer design in linear time-invariant(LTI) systems. Firstly, the research backgrounds and main advances of distributed observer designs are briefly reviewed. Then, recent results of distributed observer designs for discrete-time and continuous-time LTI multi-agent systems(MASs) are introduced in detail, respectively. Finally, the prospects and the future work directions of the design of distributed observers are put forward. The main purpose of this paper is to promote the emerging topic on the designs of distributed observers, with focuses on the interdisciplinary interest from technological sciences. 展开更多
