Various resources of the so-called traditional Chinese medicine, such as taijiquan, massage, diets, or acupuncture, have become widely available in the everyday therapeutic culture of contemporary Argentina. While the...Various resources of the so-called traditional Chinese medicine, such as taijiquan, massage, diets, or acupuncture, have become widely available in the everyday therapeutic culture of contemporary Argentina. While these resources can be found in the first half of the 20th century, it is evident that from the 1960s onward their presence is more evident, with a strong emphasis from the 1980s on. This article aims to describe the reception and popularization of body and therapeutic techniques of traditional Chinese medicine in Argentina in the 1980s through the case of Daniel Alegre, a key figure in the dissemination of Chinese therapeutic techniques. To do so, it focuses on certain key mediators in the popularization of techniques such as taijiquan and Chinese massage: teachers, promoters, and specialized magazines. All these mediators are key artifacts in the processes of massification and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine in a broader emerging horizon associated with two simultaneous processes, the Chinese cultural transnationalization and the boom of new forms of holistic management of personal well-being.展开更多
This article will discuss a false dichotomy between two models,the modern art studio and the post-studio,which oppose the private and the public,the individual and the collective,hiding and the revealing.We will begin...This article will discuss a false dichotomy between two models,the modern art studio and the post-studio,which oppose the private and the public,the individual and the collective,hiding and the revealing.We will begin by analysing Daniel Buren’s position in his canonical text“Fonction de l’Atelier”and his practice,where the artist defines the foundations of post-studio work.As the text also describes a New York studio type that must be left behind,we will analyse Jackson Pollock’s and Andy Warhol’s workspaces through drawing reconstructions to demonstrate that these meet the defining characteristics of both models.It will be shown that the artists have used design strategies to retain certain aspects of studio culture while exploring others of the post-studio.This turning point reveals that the current belief about the obsolescence of the studio in a global era defined by communication,networking and mobility ignores its emerging post-studio qualities.This work aims to acknowledge this shift,obtaining a critical vision that will allow us to design contemporary workspaces avoiding stereotypical and reductionist approaches.展开更多

The model is first applied to Daniel cell, in order to clar</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">ify</span><span style="font-family:""><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> concepts and principles of battery operation. It is found that initial pinching, in time-history curve of voltage </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">E-t</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">, is due to initial under-concentration of product ion.
