BACKGROUND Sotos syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder,whereas attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is a neurodevelopmental condition.This report aimed to summarize the clinical and genetic features of a...BACKGROUND Sotos syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder,whereas attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is a neurodevelopmental condition.This report aimed to summarize the clinical and genetic features of a pediatric case of Soros syndrome and ADHD in a child exhibiting precocious puberty.CASE SUMMARY The patient presented with accelerated growth and advanced skeletal maturation;however,she lacked any distinct facial characteristics related to specific genetic disorders.Genetic analyses revealed a paternally inherited heterozygous synonymous mutation[c.4605C>T(p.Arg1535Arg)].Functional analyses suggested that this mutation may disrupt splicing,and bioinformatics analyses predicted that this mutation was likely pathogenic.After an initial diagnosis of Sotos syndrome,the patient was diagnosed with ADHD during the follow-up period at the age of 8 years and 7 months.CONCLUSION The potential for comorbid ADHD in Sotos syndrome patients should be considered to avoid the risk of a missed diagnosis.展开更多

Co and Mo active components were supported on a series of the as-prepared TiO2-NTs samples which were calcined at different temperatures. The effects of support calcination temperature of CoMo/TiOz- NTs catalysts on their catalytic performance were investigated for selective hydrodesulfurization (HDS). The samples were characterized by means of the scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and H2 temperature-programmed reduction (Hz-TPR). The experimental results revealed that TiOz-NTs support calcined under 500℃ can maintain the nanotubular structure with higher surface area and pore volume. Meanwhile, the obtained supported CoMo/TiO2-NTs catalysts exhibited weak metal-support interaction, more octahedral Mo6+ species and high catalytic performance in selective HDS.展开更多
Catalytic hydrodesulfurization(HDS)technique is widely used for clean gasoline production.However,traditional HDS catalyst(CoMo/γ-Al_(2)O_(3))exhibits high hydrogenation performance of olefins(HYDO),resulting in the ...Catalytic hydrodesulfurization(HDS)technique is widely used for clean gasoline production.However,traditional HDS catalyst(CoMo/γ-Al_(2)O_(3))exhibits high hydrogenation performance of olefins(HYDO),resulting in the loss of gasoline octane number.To achieve high HDS/HYDO ratio,the key issue is to reduce the interaction between active metals and the support,therefore,in this research,the modified CoMo/γ-Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts with various boron amounts were investigated under traditional or microwave heating.The effects of preparing methods as well as boron amounts on the active phase,acidic properties and HDS catalytic activities were examined.Results show that the modification,especially under microwave treatment,can significantly weaken the interaction between the active component and the support by enlarging the surface area and pore diameter,and reducing the acidity of the support.As a result,the stacking numbers of MoS_(2) slabs were obviously improved by the modification and microwave treatment,contributing to higher edge/rim ratio,and resulting in higher HDS performance and selectivity to olefin.展开更多
