A study on infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV)on chickens of Cobb-500 strain broiler breed at Thakurgaon district of Bangladesh was performed.The protective antibody was measured on one day old chicks(DOC)and post-vaccinated(PV)flocks up to 75 weeks by indirect enzyme linked-immunosorbent assay(I-ELISA).The assays have included five flocks with vaccination historic against IBDV contained 45,000 birds with age ranging from DOC to 75 weeks,just before culling.Maternally derived antibody(MDA)mean titer(MT)ranged from 3,395 to 5,184.The antibody from serum samples(N=92 per flock)were titer tested by I-ELISA at age 14 d,5,8,23,50 and 75 weeks of each vaccinated flock.Antibody titer level gradually decreased before vaccination.Vaccination done by intermediate plus vaccine resulting titers level was increased and stayed at the same level.The antibody MT at the 14th day was 500,which supported Deventer method.The protective antibody MT was declined at growing,laying,mid laying and last stage of laying groups.So MDA titer was enough in offspring that could protect birds easily. 展开更多

Integration of Fish and Poultry Farming into Cropping Systems to Improve Production Yields

This study aims to evaluate and compare the fertilizing effects of fish-breeding water and river water combined or not with composted poultry manure on the growth and production of okra and lettuce crops. Thus, a sample of 2000 Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus fry and a sample of 100 Cobb 500 strain chicks were reared and monitored for six months and fifteen days. Poultry manure and fish-breeding water were then collected and used to fertilize and water okra and lettuce crops. Two systems were used for the crops (okra and lettuce) tested in an elementary plot design with replicates for each treatment (T1: fish-breeding water alone;T2: river water alone;T3: fish-breeding water combined with manure;T4: river water combined with manure). Morphometric parameters and phenological traits of okra and lettuce crops as well as the total harvest weight and production yield were evaluated and compared between treatments. The results reveal better growth and higher yields (0.67 kg/m<sup>2</sup> vs. 0.45 kg/m<sup>2</sup>) of okra crops that received treatment T1 compared to T2. The best growth and yields of lettuce were obtained with treatments T3 (3.34 kg/m<sup>2</sup>) and T1 (1.89 kg/m<sup>2</sup>) compared to T4 (1.23 kg/m<sup>2</sup>) and T2 (1.20 kg/m<sup>2</sup>). These results show that fish-breeding water combined with poultry manure can boost okra and lettuce production and would be a real asset to stimulate local agricultural development. Thus, the adoption of such an agro-ecological approach integrating fish farming and animal husbandry could increase local production and provide food of good nutritional quality. 展开更多

为鉴定不同鸡种上市日龄胸肌中小分子代谢物与肌肉风味形成的相关性,研究采用气相色谱-质谱联用技术对上市日龄分别为120 d和42 d的北京油鸡和科宝肉鸡(Cobb500)的胸肌进行代谢组学研究。结果表明,北京油鸡和科宝肉鸡胸肌差异代谢物共46... 为鉴定不同鸡种上市日龄胸肌中小分子代谢物与肌肉风味形成的相关性,研究采用气相色谱-质谱联用技术对上市日龄分别为120 d和42 d的北京油鸡和科宝肉鸡(Cobb500)的胸肌进行代谢组学研究。结果表明,北京油鸡和科宝肉鸡胸肌差异代谢物共46种,差异代谢物种类主要包括氨基酸类(19种)、脂肪酸类(10种)、碳水化合物类(7种)、有机酸类(5种)、核苷酸类(2种)等物质外,还包括尿素、胆固醇和多巴胺等代谢物。其中北京油鸡上调表达的差异代谢物14种,下调表达的差异代谢物32种。代谢通路分析显示氨基酸代谢、脂肪酸代谢、半乳糖代谢、生物碱的生物合成和磷酸转移酶系统等代谢通路在不同鸡种胸肌上市日龄风味形成中起主要调节作用。研究结果可为进一步阐明不同鸡种中胸肉风味物质的调控机制提供科学依据。 展开更多

文章旨在探讨科宝500和爱拔益加(AA)白羽肉鸡生产性能的差异。试验以科宝500和爱拔益加(AA)白羽肉鸡为研究对象,测定1~6周龄两个品种的平均采食量、平均体重、平均日增重、料重比、死淘率以及欧洲效益指数,分析比较两品种间生产性能的... 文章旨在探讨科宝500和爱拔益加(AA)白羽肉鸡生产性能的差异。试验以科宝500和爱拔益加(AA)白羽肉鸡为研究对象,测定1~6周龄两个品种的平均采食量、平均体重、平均日增重、料重比、死淘率以及欧洲效益指数,分析比较两品种间生产性能的差异变化。结果表明:(1)科宝500肉鸡平均采食量前期变化较大,2周龄时显著高于AA肉鸡(P<0.05),但3周龄显著低于AA白羽肉鸡(P<0.05),整个试验期(1~6周龄),科宝500肉鸡平均采食量高于AA肉鸡,但差异不显著(P>0.05);(2)7和35日龄时,科宝500肉鸡平均体重显著大于AA肉鸡(P<0.05),5周龄时,科宝500肉鸡平均日增重显著高于AA肉鸡(P<0.05),而其他周龄及整个试验期(1~6周龄),科宝500肉鸡平均体重和平均日增重均高于AA肉鸡,但差异均不显著(P>0.05);(3)各周龄及整个试验期(1~6周龄)科宝500肉鸡料重比均低于AA肉鸡,但差异均不显著(P>0.05);(4)4周龄时,科宝500肉鸡死淘率显著高于AA肉鸡(P<0.05),而其他周龄及整个试验期(1~6周龄),科宝500肉鸡死淘率高于AA肉鸡,但差异均不显著(P>0.05);(5)欧洲效益指数(EPI)方面,科宝500肉鸡高于AA肉鸡,但差异不显著(P>0.05)。综合分析,科宝500肉鸡生产性能及养殖效益优于AA肉鸡。 展开更多
