Included in the study were all patients with benign goiter confirmed in histology, hospitalized and treated in the service. Patients with thyroid malignant tumours, strumite, thyroid tract cyst, cervical abscess and neck trauma were not retained. Socio-demographic, clinical, para-clinical, therapeutic and post-operative aspects were the study parameters. Word processing and tables were done with Microsoft Word and Excel 2016 software.
