[Method] Taking "Sanbei 98" and "Youyan 599" as ex- periment materials, correlation between yield and quality traits of Brassica napus L. cultivars was explored by orthogonal rotation method. [Result] The results showed that: 1 In both the two varieties-Sanbei98 and Youyan599, erucic acid content had the largest coefficient of variation, but its average content was lower than 2% in both the two varieties (0.90% in Sanbei98 and 1.24% in Youyan599), and the palmitic acid content had the smallest coefficient of variation. 2 In terms of the dif- ferences in quality traits at different yield levels, only the mean of eicosenoic acid content revealed significant difference in Sanbei98, and only the mean of seed-pro- tein content revealed significant difference in Youyan599, and there was no signifi- cant difference in any combined quality traits in both the two varieties. 3 The yield was negatively correlated with the erucic acid content or oil content, and posi- tively correlated with the content of seed-protein, linoleic acid, or linolenic acid, and the coefficient of correlation between the yield and either of the contents of glucosi- nolates, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and eicosenoic acid was smaller. ~, when the yield of a variety increased considerably, there was a certain decreasing trend in erucic acid content, oil content, the total amount of erucic chain fatty acids (El & Er), while there was an increasing trend in seed-protein content, linoleic acid content, linolenic acid content, saturated fatty acids (SFA), the total amount of fat and protein (P & F), unsaturation index (IUFA), unsaturated fatty acids (UFA), the total amount of 18 carbon fatty acids (18-C FA), unsaturated fatty acids [UFA/(Ei & Er) ], and the sum of oleic acid and linoleic acid (OI & Li). 5 When the seed-pro- tein content is increased, the quality of rape oil cake is also 展开更多
The oilseed rape growing in the lower reaches of Yangtze River in China belongs to winter varieties and suffers the risk of freezing injury.In this research,a typical freezing injury event occurred in Anhui Province w...The oilseed rape growing in the lower reaches of Yangtze River in China belongs to winter varieties and suffers the risk of freezing injury.In this research,a typical freezing injury event occurred in Anhui Province was taken as a case study,the freezing damage degree of oilseed rape was assessed,and its development characteristics based on the vegetation metrics derived from MODIS and MERIS data were investigated.The oilseed rape was mapped according to the decline of greenness from bud stage to full-bloom period,with the phenological phases identified adopting time-series analyses.NDVI was more sensitive to freezing injury compared with other commonly used vegetation indices(VIs)calculated using MODIS bands,e.g.,EVI,GNDVI and SAVI.The freezing damage degree employing the difference between post-freeze growth and the baseline level in adjacent damage-free growing seasons was determined.The remote sensing-derived damage levels were supported by their correlation with the cold accumulated temperatures at the county level.The performance of several remote sensing indicators of plant biophysical and biochemical parameters was also investigated,i.e.,the photosynthetic rate,canopy water status,canopy chlorophyll content,leaf area index(LAI)and the red edge position(REP),in response to the advance of the freezing damage.It was found that the photosynthetic rate indicator—Photochemical Reflectance Index(PRI)responded strongly to freezing stress.Freezing injury caused canopy water loss,which could be detected though the magnitude was not very large.MERIS-LAI showed a slow and lagging response to low temperature and restored rapidly in the recovery phase;additionally,REP and the indicator of canopy chlorophyll content—MERIS Terrestrial Chlorophyll Index(MTCI),did not appear to be influenced by freezing injury.It was concluded that the physiological functions,canopy structure,and organic content metrics showed a descending order of vulnerabilities to freezing injury.展开更多

[Method] Taking Ningza 11 hybrid seeds as experimental materials, a method for rapid identificati...[Objective] This study aimed to establish a method for rapid identification of Ningza 11 seeds purity with SSR markers. [Method] Taking Ningza 11 hybrid seeds as experimental materials, a method for rapid identification of hybrid rape-seeds was established with SSR molecular markers; meanwhile, the test seeds were planted in the field for comparison and verification. [Result] A method for rapid identification of Ningza 11 seeds purity with SSR molecular markers was estab-lished: DNA from seeds germinated in the night was extracted by alkaline lysis method; the PCR amplification was performed for 2 h, and electrophoresis for 1.5 h, and a silver staining for 10 minutes. It took less than one day to from obtaining sampling seeds to obtaining the purity identification result, so a skil ed professional can complete the detection of at least 6 ×96 = 576 seeds per weekday. By using this set of detection system, the measured purity of seeds from nine samples was extremely significantly positively correlated to the actual purity identified in the field test, with a correlation coefficient of up to 0.984 (P〈0.01). [Conclusion] This SSR-PCR molecular identification system can be applied for rapid and accurate identifi-cation of Ningza 11 hybrid seeds.展开更多
